A movie doesn't rake in 700,000,000 at the box office if it's garbage, especially when fighting off the stigma of boring ass Superman Returns.

Actually, plenty of universally or near-universally hated movies rake in a lot of money.

The Transformers movies, for example. Transformers 4 made almost $1.1 billion, and has a 32/100 on Metacritic.

Profit and/or popularity does not equal quality, or Call of Duty would be God's gift to gaming.

Fair point. Doesn't nullify my point that it's a divisive movie mainly because Superman's been around for 77 years and has so many different iterations and interpretations and every one has their own 'definitive' version. That said I can acknowledge that the movie has it's weaknesses, most prominent being the dialogue.

^Nobody cares about this conversation except you two. Take it to your own thread DKR.

So anyway guys, you excited for Arrow and Flash to come back from their pointless break?

And anyone else hope Constantine gets renewed?

Also who's excited the Netflix Marvel stuff to get started?

I am. Jessica Jones is great.

Kind of pretentious don't you think homie? Far as I can tell thread title has superhero in it, so it's on topic. And more importantly this is the off-topic section where people make threads about how many m&m's they ate yesterday.

Looking forward to Dare Devil and Luke Cage. Does Iron Fist have a show too?

There is a second part of that title. TV Shows. Man of Steel is a movie. I can be a smartass too.

If only iZOMBIE wasn't a thing.

Well, we'll see in May.

Yeah, they're going to do Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist, then they'll come together for a Defenders miniseries.

I don't know too much about Jessica Jones, but I'm really looking forward to Daredevil and Iron Fist. I can't say that I'm eager for Luke Cage, but that's really more because my exposure to the character is limited to Marvel Ultimate Alliance and Avengers: EMH.

For DC a great idea would be to make a series based on "The Brave and the Bold" it is a comic series that teamed up superheroes (sometimes just at random) and have them fight an obscure villain.  Would be a great way to try out different characters without dedicating an entire series to see what people like.  Also would be a great why to try out different actors, writers, and directors.

Ya can't believe I forgot about this one, very short lived as it really had some great stories and showcased a lot of Lesser heroes and villains, it would be great if they did it in Live action

Best part about that series though is that they used Golden Age characters like Jay Garrick.
