The majority of my Wardens are elven so I imagine they'd all be fascinated with all the lore we've discovered. At the present my canon run through is off the back of a city elf Warden female rogue romancing Zevran, who would probably get on really well with my hunter Dalish male Inquisitor. I'd been thinking how he'd probably invite both Merrill and Fenris to Skyhold to fill the vacancies left by Solas and Cassandra respectively. Then I remembered that his lover is Dorian and was musing how well the meeting would go between him and Fenris. Don't imagine Fenris would take too kindly to Dorian's defence of slavery (I had a bit of a problem with it myself but was prepared to give him a bit a slack on the issue). May be I'd introduce Fenris to Vivienne first, remove weapons and watch the sparks fly. Isabella wouldn't like it at Skyhold; it's too far from the sea. Averline would probably fit right in but would likely kill Varric when she discovers she's been made the subject of his romance series. Hawke is a mage romancing Sebastian, so we'd not be seeing him any time soon but Carver would likely enjoy himself comparing notes with Cullen. Alistair is king in this run so we've already met and helped him out. I'd have to introduce Fenris to Dagna, she'd be gushing over his tattoos. In fact my Inquisitor would like to compare notes with him because there does seem to be a sort of link between what the anchor can do and what Fenris does with the power of the tattoos. I'd also point Merrill in the direction of Briala, bearing in mind that Morrigan has probably taken her eluvian with her.
What would cross-game characters think of each other?

For companions. I think Fenris would get on wonderfully with Shale (grrr, mages). He would initially despise Dorian, but maybe they could eventually come to mutually respect each other (especially if Dorian opens his eyes about slavery).
I'm not sure about Merrill and Solas, but it would be interesting. He'd probably try to be all teacher-student with her. But I don't think that would fly. If Sera can get over the elfiness, I'm sure Merrill would love to hear her dirty stories. She'd also be very cute with Cole. I doubt the odd things he says would bother her at all, nor the fact he's a spirit. In fact she'd probably help him.
Anders and Vivienne would be a recipe for Skyhold burning down. Solas and Cole might be able to help him with the whole Justice thing though.
Blackwall might have the shine taken off his hero worship after a little conversation with Warden Bethany.
Cassandra would have Aveline sign her copy of Swords & Shields before they go and beat up some bears.
Isabela would probably be wary of Iron Bull at first, before realising he's a kindred spirit and then having sex all over Skyhold. Isabela would also get on marvellously with Sera. No one would be safe from their pranks! Zev would be a wonderful addition to that mix.
I think my male Cousland and Hawke would compliment each other on their fine taste in male elves. Before becoming overly competitive, since they're both pretty ambitious. I haven't started my Lavellan for that world state yet, but he'd be the odd one out in that hero club. Except for continuing the male human/male elf romance theme.
Mahariel would probably be annoyed with Merrill about the mirror, since she's got survivor's guilt over the whole Tamlen thing. And I don't think she'd be impressed with Merrill shacking up with a human. She'd forgive her eventually though. They're the only members of clan Sabrae left, so she kind of has to. I don't think Mahariel would like Sera for luring Lavellan away from all things elfy. She'd probably be interested in Solas, but irritated by his disdain for the Dalish.
Surana and Adaar would get along wonderfully. They are both friendly mage nerds. Adaar's a romantic at heart, while Surana is very much Zevran's kindred spirit, so there could be some awkwardness for Adaar. Hawke would probably frustrate Surana, since she's very anti-Chantry, pro-mage, and a firm believer that violence solves everything. But Isabela should be able to smooth things over though, since they both... know her.

My (elf-culture obsessed) Tabris warden would have a strange relationship with Sera
On seeing an injustice they would happily team-up to viciously kill the person responsible
but spend the rest of the time arguing due to their conflicting views on elves
My Dalish Inquisitor would find a meeting with Tabris Warden awkward and embarrassing and would try to spend as little time with her as possible.
sort of ... "Wow, you're an elf too!" "um...yes..." "...and you're dalish! ... DAY-LISSH!" "ah...I suppose the tattoos gave it away..." "Oh WOW! you MUST tell me everything about your clan and your life with them. EVERYTHING!!" "Wha..ever.....um -excuse me I think Josephine's got something important to talk about...um...important inquisition business"
Overall, my Tabris warden would probably be happier frollicking with Merrill...

I have a lot of Wardens and Hawkes, but not many Inquisitors yet. Going to stick with their corresponding world-states.
Warden: Theron Mahariel (Duelist/Shadow/Legionnaire Scout dual-wield rogue, romanced hardened Leliana), Hawke: Jonathan (Force Mage, romanced Merrill), Inquisitor: Lin'Mi (trans: 'blood blade') Lavellan (Assassin dual-wield rogue, romanced Solas).
They'd get along fairly well, for the most part, though Theron would definitely be upset with Jonathan for killing off his clan. Lin'Mi would have difficulty getting to talk with Theron without Leliana around, and they'd talk about what their respective clans were like.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Warden: Duran Aeducan (Berserker/Champion/Guardian S&S warrior, nomance), Hawke: Jennifer (Assassin/Duelist dual-wield rogue, romanced Anders), Inquisitor: Tal-Shok (trans: 'true struggle') Adaar (Reaver 2-hander warrior, romanced Cassandra).
Jennifer and Tal-Shok probably wouldn't get along very well due to her snarkiness and his mostly serious attitude. Duran, being the mediator he is, would make sure they didn't come to blows.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Warden: Neria Surana (Arcane Warrior/Blood Mage/Battlemage archer, romanced unhardened Alistair), Hawke: Francis (Berserker/Reaver S&S warrior, romanced Isabela), Inquisitor: Malika Cadash (Tempest archer rogue, romanced IB).
They'd get along for the most part, though Malika's.... odd personality would make Neria think she was really weird. Francis would joke about 'how it works' with Malika and IB while Neria would sit in the corner with her face turning red, trying to cover her ears. Of course, Malika would mention something about IB's 'reach' and her 'flexibility' and immediately start laughing. Francis would join in and Neria would quickly leave while hiding her face.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Warden: Natia Brosca (Duelist/Assassin/Legionnaire Scout dual-wield rogue, nomance), Hawke: Alexa (Assassin/Shadow archer rogue, romanced Fenris), Inquisitor: Dorf'Fen (trans: 'grey wolf') Lavellan (Rift Mage, romanced Josephine).
For the most part, Dorf'Fen and Alexa would clash on their views regarding mages and Templars while Natia will be sitting in the corner, sharing drinks with IB, Varric, Sera, and Dorian. Whenever the arguments would get heated, Natia would step in and basically tell them to sit the f*** down. Dorf'Fen would also be upset about the fact that Natia wiped out Zathrian's clan, but she would just wave it off and say she didn't like talking about the Blight. When they don't talk about mages, Templars, and the Dalish, though, they all would get along pretty well, trading snark and stories with one another.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Warden: Darrian Tabris (Berserker/Reaver/Spirit Warrior 2-hander warrior, nomance), Hawke: Brynn (Blood Mage/Force Mage, romanced Merrill), Inquisitor: Fen'Elgar (trans: 'wolf spirit') Lavellan (Knight Enchanter, nomance).
Darrian and Fen'Elgar would ignore Brynn for the most part due to their mutual dislike for humans in general. They'd eventually hook up and be the most badass couple in Thedas. Brynn, on the other hand, would stay out of their way and stick to talking to Dorian, Varric, and Solas. None of them would interact with Sera because Fen'Elgar would've kicked her out of the Inquisition well before they all met up.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gonna stop there for now. Might throw in a few more when I make more Inquisitors.

Canon 1
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Elisabeth Amell (Mage, class: Acrane Warrior/Sprit Healer, romanced Unhardened Alistair), Starylnn Hawke (Warrior, attuide: Aggressive, class: Templar/Reaver, romanced Sebastian), Eleanor Trevallyn (Mage, Class: Knight Enchantress, romanced Cullen)
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Elisabeth and Eleanor would get along happily. Amell would be quite pleased that Cullen was happy and complement Eleanor on that. Hawke is dead so she doesn't count. Amell would adore Dorian and make him her gay best friend for life. Amell would also think Solas is amazing because he's a dreamer and she thinks that's epic ability to have. If Wynne was alive (sadly, she's dead
) Eleanor would love that women to pieces and consider Elisabeth very lucky to have had her as an mentor. Eleanor would shy away from Isabela and Zevran, because Eleanor is the type of person that is very neat and tidy and thinks threesome's are disgusting. Amell and Solas would study books on magic together and do magi things together. Dorian and Amell would talk about their respective cultures. Eleanor would be slightly scared of my Amell, as she's super OP for a mage.
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Angelina Cousland (Warrior, Class: Templar/Champion/Sprit Knight, romance Hardened Alistair), Annabeth Hawke (Mage, class: Blood Mage/Sprit Healer attuide: Humorous, romanced Fenris), Arianna Lavallen (Mage, class Knight-Enchantress, romanced Solas)
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Angelina and Annabeth would get into a bar-fight once Hawke learns that Angelina's class is Templar. Arianna would excuse herself and run off once that happens. Angelina and Hawke would have mutual respect for each other once that occurs. Arianna would return later with a book in her hand. Solas wouldn't like Angelina all that much due to her class. Dorian would get along with Angelina and Annabeth, both woman would mutually like the Tevinter. Hawke wouldn't like the Iron Bull due to him being Quanri, Angelina would get along with him because she got along with Sten. She'd ask Iron Bull this:
"Can you bribe a Templar with Cookies?"
"Should I?"
"Oh... Well Sten did that once."
"Isn't Sten now the Arishok?"
"Yeah... I just call him Sten because I called him that during the Blight, you know."
"Back to original question, which Templar did he bribe? I'm curious."
"The Queen of Antiva!"
"Oh Carroll? He's dead now, he was mutated into a Red Templar you know."
"
NO. I CANT BELIEVE THAT THE QUEEN OF ANTIVA IS DEAD."
"He is."
"Well f*** I had a pack of cookies for him."

Rywick Surana, my elf mage warden, would flirt outrageously with Siobhan, my Dalish Inquisitor at the same time he was studying and interrogating Solas (in a polite fashion) because his seer instincts would tell him that there was something "different," about Solas. For that matter, he'd flirt outrageously with my female human inquisitor and my female dwarven inquisitor as well. Rywick loves the ladies.
He truly loves only one woman, but she can never be his, so he takes that old song to heart, the one that says, "...if you can't be with the one you love, love the one you're with."

Alistair and Cullen would be like..... EPIC friends. Alistair and Anders...If it was the Anders of Awakening, they'd get along nicely, probably have a snark fest. Alistair and Fenris, I dunno. Curious and curiousier. I think Fenris would try to kill Dorian...
Or they just don't get at all..... Alistair and Dorian would have a completion who could out snark the other one. But wait, I think Cullen and Alistair would discuss their LI's (practically prominent if Alistair's LI is a Fem Surana/Amell). If it was that was the case, oh gosh awkwardness assured.

I think all three of my main ladies (Cousland, Hawke, Trevelyan) would get on pretty well. Hawke would probably bond less with the other two because she sees herself as a commoner and is a bit more cynical (particularly post-Kirkwall.) She's also with Fenris, and I'm not sure how much he'd warm to everyone - he'd probably be ok with Cousland because she's a born warrior, but he might find Trevelyan a bit too idealistic or flighty, and I think he would definitely not like her best friend (Dorian).
Cousland would be pleased to see that Cullen has grown up and sorted his life out in the Inquisition, and Alistair and Trevelyan would definitely bond over being foodies:
Alistair: You don't happen to have any of that special blue cheese from Val Royeaux, I suppose?
Cousland: We're on a diplomatic mission, sweetie, try to focus.
Trevelyan: Ooooh did you bring cookies??
Cullen: Er, Inquisitor, perhaps we can return to the discussion of the Ferelden treaty?
All three heroes would put on some amazing choreographed knife-fighting displays, though.
Cousland would adore Aveline and Cassandra (who I think would end up having a mutual 'we really respect and admire each other but don't want to call attention to it' society). Hawke would probably help Sera with Red Jenny shenanigans and would almost definitely not like Vivienne, since she is both a Game-playing Orlesian noble and a mage who isn't Bethany. My Hawke was well and truly fed up of mages by the end of DA2.
Oghren and Bull would tear the place up, no doubt. Velanna and Sera would loathe each other, and Solas and Velanna probably would end up at each others' throats as well. Fenris and Cassandra would probably get on all right, I think. Zev and Dorian would engage in the most competitive flirting the world had ever seen. Shale would have to be physically restrained from entering the rookery, and Dagna would have to be restrained from experimenting on Shale for her own safety (I suppose they met already, but now Dagna has a workbench/lab at her disposal.)
I had already decided that Howl (Cousland's dog) and Biscuit (Hawke's dog) adored each other and probably had puppies together. Trevelyan would give one of said puppies to Cullen as a gift, because what is a Fereldan without his mabari?

My main characters would be fine. They have very similar experience with their companions.
Hawke: Guys? Do you also feel like... a therapist when you are talking to your mates?
Cousland: Oh, Maker, yes. I have to help them with EVERY. SINGLE. RIDICULOUS. DECISION.
Trevelyan: Sometimes, I really have no idea how they reached puberty. Did you know they are best killers in Thedas?
Hawke: Better than us?
Trevelyan: Ehm, nope, I mean in NPC demographic.
Cousland: Really? Then I really don't want to know worst of Thedas.
Hawke: You obviously weren't in Kirkwall.
Trevelyan: I heard it's a shithole.
Hawke: Yeah...
Cousland: You know, traveling alone has its benefits. Like silence...
Trevelyan: Yeah?
Hawke: Yeah.
Cousland: No one is watching what I do and then complain about my decisions later in camp.
Hawke: Oh, I was fine with that. They hated me but for some reason, they stayed at my side.
Trevelyan: Hm... I may try to disappear for while. You seem to be fine with that.
Hawke: It was like a holiday.
Cousland: Just bring some random magic item with you. You know, another hero may need your help but you will be too lazy to come to him personally. You'll give him... let's say... a belt and you're fine.
Hawke: And if you want to help him personally - DON'T! Did you know you can die when you do such a thing?
Trevelyan: Wait... we can DIE?!?
Cousland: Hey, unlike me, you have a chance to live a long life. Me? I will be lucky when I survive to the next game!
Hawke: That sucks. So... drinks later?
Trevelyan: But no qunari ale. That stuff is a mess.
Cousland: Did you ever try to drink a blood?
Hawke: Bleh, no... did you?
Cousland: It's a funny story. I'll tell you about it later...

My primary rogue Hawke, Juliette is an AU version of my primary Mage Hawke Juliana, while my primary Rogue Inquisitor Angelique is an AU version of my primary Mage Inquisitor Celestine. So that would just be eerie if they met.
At the same time, their circumstances have built them into very different people. Angelique is a little irreverent and skeptical of the chantry, due to being more worldly than the more sheltered version of herself, Celestine, who's devoutly Andrastian and dutiful. So that part might make it even more strange.
As for my FemLavellan and Snarky!M!Hawke, she thought he was exceptionally attractive, actually.

Would your Mahariel want to throttle Merrill for trying to fix the mirror that eats people?
The only issue with that mirror was that it had the darkspawn taint. Merrill removed the taint. Boom. Problem solved. The worst she could do was shiv people with the shards.
That said, my Mahariel was an autistic hunter with a fixation on crafting and setting traps, so she's not about to judge Merrill's fixation on repairing a mirror. She'd probably raise an eyebrow that Merrill chose to revive the mirror that killed Tamlen and tainted her, but once Merrill explained that she got rid of the taint and is trying to revive an artifact of their people (so Mahariel's and Tamlen's "deaths" weren't in vain), she'd be fine with it. Shrug and move on with her day.
Would your Lavellan share her enthusiasm for elven history and lost lore?
Merrill's? OH YES!
In fact, both my "canon" Tabris and Lavellan are very enthusiastic about elven history and lost lore, so they would both be very supportive of Merrill. While my Lavellan would just be happy with discourse and then gently offer her the chance to help elves under the Inquisition, my Tabris, who is always trying to bring Dalish knowledge back to the alienage, would enthusiastically ask her to come speak at her alienage. (She'd try to set it up so Merrill can tell them of her people while the elves gathered around, under the Vhenadahl.)
Both would kind of like Fenris. Again, Lavellan is very cool and gentle and would try to sooth his mage upsets despite being offended by them. (She romanced Solas despite him dumping on the Dalish every chance he got; she's used to it.) Tabris is much more passionate, hot-blooded, and pig-headed. I think after he mentioned Tevinter slavers enough times she'd try to slip in, "But Tevinter's filled with human slavers. Why don't you hate humans as much as you hate mages?" Then to whatever answer he gave she probably wouldn't answer tactfully, and it would escalate into a fight.
Fenris: You know nothing of being a slave!
Tabris: I know inescapable poverty, so it's kinda the same thing! And half my alienage was sold to Tevinter during the 5th Blight, including my Hahren and sister-in-law, and my own father if I'd arrived five seconds too late, so don't you dare start with me!
Would Sera think your Tabris is too elfy?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! YES!
Sera would HATE Tabris for being so passionate about elven rights, elven culture, and "we elves have to stick together!" And my Tabris would hate Sera because she's so unabashedly anti-elf and pro-human. My Tabris really doesn't like elves who abandon their community or culture, and unlike my diplomatic Lavellan, is very pig-headed and closed-minded about it.
Tabris was also a bit like Sera when she was younger, just in that she was a blithe, spirited, snarky, anti-authority street urchin with short choppy hair (she also cut it herself with a blunt knife when it got in the way) and a disdain for big "important people" human nobles oppressing "little people" city elves. Only difference being that Tabris had a large elven family and upbringing, and felt VERY close to the alienage and elven plight. However, Tabris is 30 by Inquisition, and tired and worn out from court and Warden life, so I think she'd see Sera's immaturity and think, "Glad I grew out of that." I think Sera, in turn, would sense that this "big, important person" was looking down on her, and hate her all the more for it.
On my "canon" protagonists meeting each other: Since Clan Lavellan was more aware of the happenings with humans, I think they heard of the Hero of Ferelden's exploits, so I can see my Lavellan paying more attention to the stories of a living elven hero and being excited to meet her. Again though, Tabris is 30 by Inquisition and Lavellan is 18, so there's a large age and experience gap. Lavellan would idealize Tabris, who in turn would feel a bit tired and disillusioned from a lifetime of failing to help her people. However, I think she'd be pleased and a little hopeful to see that the Herald of Andraste is a young elf who wields a lot of religious, social, and political power, and who is passionate about helping their people. I think she'd be a little relieved that even if she fails, someone else will be able to pass the torch.

I feel like Solas would have a lot to talk about with Merrill. She has the most respect for spirits out of anyone in DA2 and she practices unconventional magics. She defied everything her clan wanted and loved them despite it. However, I can also see him throwing shade at her for her strong emotional ties to the Dalish ways—her "elfyness" as Sera would say. So he'd be respectful but also wary of her.
My Queen, Champion, and Inquisitor would love each other's company. They'd have so much to talk about! I can imagine them in their intimates, just hanging out and ranting/raving about everything together. They'd tell each other their goals and ambitions. Lots of slumber parties and shenanigans too.

I think my Tabris Surana (if you count more than on pc each game) Hawke and Lavellan would get along great, even though both tabris and surana would be surprised by a dalish elf who is friendly towards them from the get-go, given that the last clan of dalish they encountered gave them the cold sholder. After that, they would really hit it on since they have so much in common: hate for the humans, the chantry and templars: how can they not get along just peachy. And after a nice friendly talk about the elven lore that has been uncovered, they would go strangle Viv and Sera to death to mark the beginning of a lovely and healthy friendship. Although Hawke might feel a little left out because she is the only one who isn't an elf. I also think that my lavellan would put Merill in contact with Briala to study more about eluvians. Meanwhile, Fenris would be at Dorian's throat unless he gave a sincere apology to Fenris regarding slavery, Oghren would annoy Varric to hell and back, Cullen and king Alsitair would probably exchange quips about templars and how they might as well be brothers, and Anders and Viv (if she is still in skyhold) wold probably set the keep on fire.

In my world-state, Inq. Lavellan is the orphaned son that W-C Mahariel had with Velanna...
Lavellan hated Morrigan for being his father's primary attachment. After Morrigan referred to the HoF as "My Warden," he was markedly less friendly with her. He would perhaps resent both parents for not seeming to care much about him, and especially with his mother joining a Darkspawn eerily similar to his archenemy (Corypheus). LOL, so many painful ironies for the poor guy...
And my Mahariel would hate Merrill... not for trying to rebuild the Eluvian, but for being a walking retcon of his backstory!! ![]()

Headcanon: engaged (come on, man, you even have it in your sig)!
Technically I cannot romance Velanna either, but I made that a thing (if not a true "romance"). So while I was at it, I stretched out the timeline a bit.
Another seven years were added: slightly longer time between skips in DA2, slightly longer mage/Templar warfare. No biggie. And the Inquisitor is 17.

I suppose that can work, but wouldn't it make a bit more sense if it happened at the last Arlathvhen? I mean, there's no real set year for the last Arlathvhen pre-DA:O, so it is entirely possible that your Inquisitor could've been born pre-DA:O since Velanna wasn't pushed out of her clan until after the Blight. Could potentially add more drama to your Inquisitor since they would've grown up without Mahariel around before ending up in Lavellan clan. Mahariel may not know of this until he ran into Velanna in the Wending Woods. Of course, Mahariel would probably have to be a bit older, but meh.
Well, that's how I'd do it, anyway. I try not to alter the timeline in my headcanons, though.
Anyway, I did sort of headcanon that my human-hating Tabris, Darrian, is 29 in DA:O, so that'd make him 39 in DA:I, and since I plan on headcanoning that he and my second f!Lavellan, Fen'Elgar, hook up post-DA:I and I think that a 10+ year age-difference between 2 people who're in a relationship is a bit..... odd, I'll have to headcanon that Fen'Elgar is 30 in DA:I (any older than 30-35 wouldn't really fit for the Inquisitor's age unless they were a qunari or dwarf, imo).
