I wish I knew whose idea it was to make Qunari into underwear models... it's just so wrong. Give me back my Arishok!

Ah Arishok, you were beastial, fanatical, a man you wouldn't want to have invading your homelands and chopping the heads off your people.

You had inhuman eyes, giant, heavy metal horns, and your troops worse Qunari body paint that was actually pretty awesome and didn't look at all like makeup.

I miss you Arishok, you're the sort of Qunari we need right now.

We have pretty elves, pretty humans, hell they're even making the dwarves pretty... does this unrelaistic standard of beauty have to be applied to one of the the last two fearsome races in dragon age?

I bet in dragon age 4, they'll sparkle in the sunlight and accept all races who don't love the Qun... dirty heathens that they are. If the Arishok appeared now, he's probably look like Brad Pitt.

Damn it bioware, let the Qunari be the fanatical warmongers they were born to be. Let them have scars and savage weapons and have that cool red face/neck/chest warpaint they had in DA2.

We don't need elves with horns. We need Qunari. The Qun demands it.

It's called "the software they use to animate faces". The Arishok could have a unique look since they used basically one face to map expressions. The same doesn't work for the DAI Qunari that have their faces created via a CC that shares resources with the very human dwarves and elves.

It's not like they can't adjust the cheekbones and stuff. Or keep the Qunari eyes. Or the double horns. Simple stuff changed to make them sexier.

Face it my friend, they made the Qunari pretty by choice.

I was hoping BW would have saved a playable Qunari race for DA4 so they could establish/build upon how they want the Qunari to look and it would have made sense if the next game is in tevinter

But the BSN wanted a Qunari playable race and now we're stuck with what we got and that sucks, no matter how much I tried to make my Qunari look demonish he still looked like a giant elf man with gray skin

Qunari, havn't played one yet but Bull looks like a freek for sure. I take him along just to get a good belly laugh watching him "try" to run. BW are you SURE he wasn't supposed to be called "Iron Pin-head"?

And am I the only freekin soul on this god forsaken planet that plays this game and thinks male Elves look very very odd? Huge legs with smaller upper bodies than females Elves? Maybe I'm just nuts and they always looked like that but I could swear they looked less freekish in DAO. Donno.

I think the player Qunari look pretty good. Except the hands, I want them to have claws like DA2 Qunari. Is it too much to ask for a bit of consistency? And why can't we have epic Qunari-specific armor? Oh, and their hair options still suck. Besides that, I like them.

Iron Bull on the other hand... I have mixed feelings about.

I hope this is a joke and you aren't actually saying something profoundly idiotic.

I like the Qunari in Inquisition, this is honestly better than them all having the same damn face. Only things the Qunari need are better hair, and to not have those spots on their head where horns come out for hornless Qunari.

Tbh I thought the qunari from DA2 were waaaaay hotter, particularly the Arishok. He certainly seemed far more underwear-model-y than Iron Bull and the Inquisitor. They're way too bulky. I'd love for them to bring back the DA2 models :>

How does one make an aesthetically pleasing Qunari? I haven't been able to do it yet. I wanted to create a Female Inquisitor who had a similar face to Rasaan, but get one closer to Maraas than Rasaan.

I like the females. I think the males must be modeled after Brock Lesnar. And the warpaint just makes them look like Juggalos. And that they walk around in tailored suits and act like humans is silly. There's just not enough of the alien and tribal qualities going on.. what's the point of making a Qunari if he's just some poser human? I can only think it's mean to be "cute"? Like those cartoons when you see a Gorilla in a suit.

Actually someone called them "marshmellow puffs" the other day. I'll just use that.

I wish the Qunari had more metallic tones like one Bull had.

Yup. Hence the totally non-serious phrasing of the comment.

Though, now that I think about it, origins had overweight people (the tavern owner in redcliff), DA2 had overweight people... I don't think there are any in DAI. Even the dwarves are basically walking mountains of perfect short little muscle. Maybe a result of the shortage of actual people and cities in DAI, but still... Even the Qunari could fit comfortably into a Calvin Klein commercial.

I mean, Corypheus wasn't pretty, but he is also everything wrong with the world. And calpernia was the only one with a gap in her teeth... Holy crap, ugly people are the villains of dragon age! Still joking, but you should probably find me an overweight NPC though asap.

I can't say that I ever quite looked at the Arishok like that, but straight male here, wouldn't occur to me. I will say that DA2 Qunari had WAY better war paints though. That half face, neck, and shoulders red was intimidating, yet stylish. These new face paints aren't very manly.

I mostly appreciated the Arishok's "I will murder you in an instant if it pleases me to do so" kind of vibe. And the horns, this single horn business just isn't working for me. Plus they had their own sort of beastial eyes, very cool. Now they have reaaaaaal pretty elf eyes.

I like the Qunari in Inquistion. the DA2 Qunari are basically the same model with just slightly different horns. There is room to improvement, but I love the Inquistion Qunari. Expecially for the horns.

Having some horns like the DA2 ones would be cute, so having the chance to get the outside of the iris black. But the faces are ok, is in the hand of the player if the Qunari must be bad or good looking.

When I glanced at the title of this thread I thought OP was talking about how the qunari in DA2 were all underwear models, which I thought made more sense seeing as the majority of them walked around with no shirts on looking like they spent 5 hours a day in the gym.

It is possible (okay easy) to make a qunari inquisitor that looks like a big human with horns. I made a female qunari and I purposefully gave her a quite heavy brow (which I would never do if I were making a human or elf) and that was the first decision I made about her face because I wanted her to look a bit different. I was quite happy with the end result, she did still end up looking quite pretty (I don't really like to make an ugly character especially since I know half the companions will end up swooning over her so they may as well have good reason to) but she also looked quite different.

The thing I was less pleased with about the qunari was the clothes. Not for Bull, I liked that he seemed to have a distaste for wearing a shirt. But the inquisitor just wears the same clothes be she human, elf, qunari or dwarf as far as I can see. Some of the mage coats looked awful on my female qunari, made her look really broad. The only one I really liked was the short jacket but it didn't look very qunari. I know the inquisitor's parents were Tal Vashoth and she was raised outside the qun but still you'd think they would keep some things from their culture.

But that would involve giving the player an option to where something some may consider impractical/immodest/indecent/etc. We can't have that.

You can't have the Arishok back. He's been replace by the Arishok.

Only Qunari we see in this game are Iron Bull and the customizable-faced Qunari PC. I'd need to see more Qunari than that to think they'll all go sparkles and glitter.

I have not actually played Qunari yet but from what i've seen the character generator is your friend, make them how you see fit within their faces.

Sure the presets are good looking but you can make them almost to what you'd like (not including hair of course).

I bag out DA Inquisition a lot and in my opinion rightly so, but one thing Bioware did right was the character creation.

The default female Qunari has a look on her face like she went down on the broodmother while she was on her period...

Ugly doesn't sell, just look at all the "glamour" magazines.
