I am experiencing consistent error messages connecting to the Cerberus Network referencing interruption or timeout on the Mass Effect 2 Server. Is this a known issue, and is there an estimated time to fix?
Cannot connect to Mass Effect 2 Server (timeout)

Same here. Ive posted in a couple of other threads but no response yet. it is noted by Chris in his stickied threads.
"Timeouts:
Some users are reporting timeouts or connection drops to Cerberus Network. We are actively pursuing a fix to this and will update everyone once it is fixed on the server-side."

I just don't get why this is only impacting some people and not many or all unless they capped the server to keep it up at all.

The issue is irritating, to say the least. I am fine with companies wanting to recover value from used game sales, which, as far as I can see, is the main reason to implement this online subsystem. What I find rather vexing is that there seems to be no end in sight for the issues. Rather than embed systems in a proven infrastructure, such as XBL or any PC-based online systems, they invented their own, which is costly, problem-laden, and largely ineffective at battling the core problem they want to resolve. In fact, now that I have my codes entered on the EA network, and seeing as these issues are not being resolved in a timely manner, I am strongly tempted to return the game to Gamestop, get my refund, let them restock it for $3-5 less, and wait the period for the price to drop before repurchasing it.
I want to play the game I paid for, not watch companies stumble through crap that hurts my experience. I just want what I was sold, and *we*, the customers, should not be the ones that suffer for their missteps.
