The only thing that i could think of was to work out the kinks before any new content (dlc or new game) comes out. Unless if dlc is stand a lone (similar to orgins) and that it would require keep data but I doubt that for future SP DAI content. Where years away from DA4 so i don't know.

Either it will be used for standalone DLC, or it will work as a checklist of what you've completed.

Well for me, it'll help me keep track of all my different playthroughs while I still remember which character did what.

Why would you want to wait years before being able to touch the DA:I tiles?

Wouldn't it be great if you could pick choices in the game that you've already made up to whatever point you want to start your re-play at? Like, say you just want to see what the other side you didn't pick in the mages/templars choice is like. You pick what choices you made up to there and then you could start in at that point.

I know this won't happen, but it would be awesome if it did.

This games desperately needs something like the Mass Effect save editor!

I would say there would be a point in keeping track, allowing you to share you DA:I playthroughs but it doesn't really work correctly so it serves no purpose.

What's the point? The point some people will never understand.

Getting the various decisions down correctly while they're still fresh in your mind, probably. I mean, if they waited until, say the next Dragon Age game comes around, would you remember how those little decisions turned out? This way, they get it in now while you still are likely to have an idea of what your Inquisitor has done.

If you were able to actually select the choices your character made now that they are fresh it would make sense to have it out now but most people can't. Mine says I only romanced Dorian (don't get me wrong, I have, twice), but I also romanced Cullen  Iron Bull and Solas all hidden. Now here is the odd part, both Dorian romances were with my rogues,  but the specialization tiles that are unlocked are both from the mages not the ones from the rogues, the other tiles  seem to pick and choice a mix of games.  Rogues side with wardens, but that is hidden, mages drink from the well , hidden. Its a weird mix and mash of what I picked threw several go 'rounds. So even though the it is fresh in my mind I can't make sure I have them all set up right.

I'd rather they just opened all the tiles and let us delete useless duplicated protagonists. THEN there'll be some point in playing with the Inquisition's tiles. As it is, it's one big disappointment - some of my tiles are hidden, too(Knight-enchanter, not-meeting Calpernia and so on).
