That sucks. Medical professionals from the Third World who come to the U.S. have trouble getting past the medical license examinations. Some end up as nursing assistants or nurses just to get by. Few succeed.

eh, public sector jobs in the US suck just as much as they do here :P

Nah, I'm just addicted to working out is all. All started when I was really young and started taking tae kwon do classes, then the Army really made me into it.

I like to be in tiptop shape.

You never know when the neckbeards are gonna take over.

Indeed.

It comes in handy when the Fedoran Tip Party take over 'Murica in righteous indignation! Employing their left-right politics and obnoxious policies on atheism.

Well according to a recent artical nen cant win eather way. if you treet awoman the way you treat a guy. Masogany if you treat her better Masogany.
on a date you HAVE to read her fekin mind or you are the scum of the earth and she has the right to burn you allive you masoganistic pig..

You sound like a misandrist. Some women act that way, and this is why they stay single. Good guys, like me, don't want a woman, or any person for that matter, in their lives who have entitlement issues and a drag to be around.
No one likes a mean person.

Depends on the job. Public sector have better benefits, though.

Sure, if that's not your job.

Ever lift patients? They can destroy your back and spine, even with good mechanics.

I have a home gym. Its pretty nice too. Has a squat rack with safety pins, which can also be used to bench in, an Olympic barbell, a pair of powerblock dumbells, an ez curl bar, punching bag and an elliptical.

I would still rather go to the gym. I dislike lifting alone.

I can concentrate better at home and driving 60+ kilometers to the gym and back every single day is such a waste of time. I couldn't do that.

Here is my home gym in my garage, all I have is a barbell (with the dead lift weights on), an ez-curl bar and some dumbbells plus an adjustable bench (in the background).  Thats really all you need, and free weights is the best training you can do anyway, screw machines.

It can be dangerous too. Was once pinned under 100kg after a long set of pyramid benchpress with locked weights. Not nice. Been making sure ever since that there is at least one person with me in the gym if I do heavy reps.

Its a social thing for me. I would rather lift with people around, to talk to and push me. Besides, time is not an issue for me. Full time student with no job, thanks to mom and dad. So driving 15 minutes to work out is a non issue.

Very nice. Maybe ill post some pics of mine later.

The few times I work out alone I always always make sure the safety pins are in place before benching or squatting. That sounds terrifying man.

I know some people like dumb and hott, but I can't do it.

Intelligence is a requirement for me.  I'm not saying you have to discover cold fusion, but I need someone I can talk to.

Keep in mind that I'm speaking fairly generally.

I need someone to talk to. NEED. If they can't quickly, broadly, grasp concepts (like you said 'I'm not saying you have to discover cold fusion' - its not like I'm super educated anyway), then it can be a wash.

Maybe I could take it if his body is super hot and his heart is SUPER warm, and he's successful in several other ways. Intelligence isn't exactly a turn on for me, but more something I need in order to continue positive communications for the long term.

A lot of people tell me that when I suggest them to work out at home, it depends on the character of the person. Some people are so social they can only do cross fit because they need the competition and team spirit to get motivated, I however prefer exercising in solace and far from any distractions, like lifting at home and cycling alone.

Im pretty sure the vast majority of women consider muscle attractive or at least a plus. I am sure of course there are plenty of women that dont, but mostly I think muscle is a plus.

And its BS that guys with muscle cant be smart, or that they are conceited. Dont hate until you get to know someone.

I think you're totally right. (My post earlier in the thread was more of an 'either/or' scenario)

I don't think women are looking for 'buffness' exactly (many are, but many aren't), but yes, I think most would prefer 'muscle' in general. This can simply mean 'lack of fat so muscle shows', or a significant tone, or then, actual buffness and thick muscles. There comes a point where that's too much though, so I gotta feel a bit bad for some of the super bodybuilders that might not clue in that they're reaching a point where it gets grotesque - in terms of sexually and romantically attracting others.

It's embarrassing to see super bodybuilders outside of the gym setting. I've seen one in the ER wear a Gold's Gym tank top. I think the staff were talking about him.
