A lift like that deserves respect because its IMO not a real bench press anymore if your butt is not on the bench. Your biceps properly tore because the angle of the lower arm, you need a lot of biceps once your lower arm is not in a 90 degree angle to the floor, and biceps are sadly weak muscles. I can only lift 155 completely flat, but I recommend dumbbell presses for rehab because there your lower arms will always stay in the neutral position. And flyes, flyes work great to strengthen the biceps tendons without over stressing them. You could do them as negative sets on the floor.

Subject came up of women being attracted to certain body types, muscle came into the discussion, and thus here we are.

Thanks. I´ve been doing this from -96 so I´ve had some time to build up for it. 155 is a hell of a weight too. The dumbbell training for this is probably the best way to go about it now as the muscle needs time to adjust (it was relocated and srewed in a slightly different postion). That is what my physiotherapist said too about the biceps position as you said.

Damn you guys are throwing up some huge numbers. I have a long way to go before I get up to your guys level. Lol, to be fair though, I was born in 95, a year before you started! ![]()

No worries, you have a lot of time to collect all the injuries that come with it. ![]()

Look at the bright side, you'll make steady progress and the weights you lift will become heavier and heavier for years to come, thats an awesome time and you better enjoy the hell out of it. We old farts (ok I'm only 26, started lifting ten years ago though) experience minuscule progress which can be pretty demoralizing at times. I've been working on my 100kg standing military shoulder press (no leg drive, no leaning, shoulder width grip) for over one year now, and progress is slooow, the last couple of months I've only managed to increase the press by three tiny kilograms. On a good day.

That's me. I like em slender. I think Channing Tatum is gross. I mean, I like definition, but not muscle mass. Like Jared Leto (not Dalla Buyer's club, that's just unhealthy) or Adrien Brody.
I think I'm in the minority, though. Most of my girlfriends disagree with my taste in men.
I think that's just a common misconception driven by roided out football and baseball players and all that. The majority of women seem to prefer less buff more normal looking but it's kind of a mass media thing to promote otherwise.

Yeah, I know all about the injuries and slow progress. My dad (who is 50 now) has made sure I understood all that. He injured himself squatting once, had to get rushed to the hospital. We had a friendly father son rivalry going, he cant really keep up with my anymore though.

Hah, I once lost feeling from right hand pinkie and the finger next to it as few my vertebras in the spine got squished too much together from too much squatting, jamming my nerves running to my arms. Doctor told me to ease up on it and the feeling returned in about half a year. I am now officially about 5mm shorter than I was originally. ![]()
Edit: how is your dad now?

Did he collapse and tip over forward under the weight? Heavy squatting accidents are really bad.
Yeah, he fell forward, his right knee was fucked up and the bar slammed his head pretty bad. Thankfully there were people around and he got help right away. I wasnt there to see it, luckily. He has something called a slipped disk now. Not sure what that is but he experiences regular back pain.

This was a few years back, iirc he was 46 at the time. He is fine now(other then the slipped disk), and still lifts, just not nearly as heavy.Edit: how is your dad now?

My dick can benchpress 181,437 kg.
Once I was swimming in the ocean and this murderous blue whale came charging at me, I got angry and said "you ****** ****!" and starting turning around fast in a 360 motion until my willy was spinning at a furious speed and hit the blue whale 2000 metres into the sky.

He has to treat me well, have a good heart and like animals, cause if he like animals then it says something about his character, his conscience. Of course looks are a bit important too cause there has to be some physical attraction but if a guy is confident which I think is very important, then it will make him attractive plus if he has a good personality as well like humour and he treats me well like I mentioned. Job is also important of course but I really dont value that the most like most girls, I dont care what the **** he does for a living, a job is a job, of course I would like that he works and can provide for me but I dont care what the job itself is, any job is good enough. And if he doesn't have a car? So what? Not everyone has loads of money. I'm not a ****** gold digger.
marry me.

Biggest turn down is lack of confidence, this goes for females too.
I think that's just a common misconception driven by roided out football and baseball players and all that. The majority of women seem to prefer less buff more normal looking but it's kind of a mass media thing to promote otherwise.
I'm curious about this, is it more that they would prefer those looks for a relationship or in general? I would assume, if a dude is in good shape, regardless of size, one can find that individual attractive, to a certain point. Obviously being attracted to an individual is subjective anyway, but certain people just seem to have lucky genetics in terms of looks/personality, etc.
