In public games AFK players will get auto-kicked after a few minutes. In private they will stay.
But if you mean new players that haven't unlocked decent weapons gear yet then yeah they do join pug gold or plat games. Sometimes any difficulty match making setting will put players in games that have empty player spot. Carry them when that happens. Use cheese mode on loleegar ppr incendiary etc if you want to or join a new game ![]()

A bad experience you may want to share ?
Leechers have always been there, and will always be. I don't mind them that much, but they must not expect that I will cross the map to revive them.

I'm glad they still around. Otherwise Gold pugging would never be the same... for Plat it may be a problem. Why I don't pug Platinum.

I do. But only because I don't like to be left alone to clean up waves. I'd rather run out of gels and bleed out then that happening.
A friend of mine also said the same thing. Pugs not using consumables in gold/plat don't deserve to be revived.
They start using them if they think payday is in sight. Pugs don't like to waste precious consumables that takes money away from 99k purchases or wasting them with no payday returns. Simple logic, really. And pugs usually do start coming through the second half from personal experience pugging many, many times with very weak teams. But you will have to make the effort run across the map to save and keep them in the game, otherwise they start enjoying the backpack more.
Saves across the map are possible. Just got to forget about scoring & epeen and focusing on playing as a team.

I will revive them if theyr'e close to me (an other target for the enemies is always better
). Globally, I always help players who are new in the game or have trouble when I feel that they're trying to do their best. But when experienced players don't want to use a single consumable even during objectives waves I'm not going to make too much effort for them.

It's true yes that many pugs (especially on gold) don't use consumables, no ammo etc and they don't use consumables like medi gels in game.
But there comes what I call the "Pug Paradox", most pugs don't use Cobras on objective waves when the hack is getting overrun etc - but when they seem to notice their score of the usual 20-30K at the start of wave 11 they use up all Cobras they have trying to increase their score a bit as if it would actually matter at that stage.
Pugs, I'll never undertand some of them.

They would risk payday by not using their own rockets and HOPE you use yours instead so the wave 11 pts they get makes them seem smarter,(Hooray! I know how to get a KIllstreak!) then if you decide Naw, not doing that this time because you want to see if they are smart enough to do the right thing and they dont and match fails, they always bail from from lobby disappointed YOU didnt carry their ass to the finale
But many pugs just plain dont bring ANY gel or rockets to a gold/plat match. I know because Ive asked them which makes me just go WTF? ![]()

Got a wave 10 centre hack on Giant last night, ended up using my last 5 missiles (and 3 gels) and getting the job done on my own.
All 3 pugs used multiple missiles on wave 11, which really wound me up, but it was quite funny dandering over to the EZ at the end and being Lone Survivor.

I just can't do saves across the map....pug or veteran...it benefits the team more if you can just clutch the wave and everybody can re-group afterwards. I'm not going across the map especially for a pug that for the most part will end up dying a few seconds after you revive, then you'll find yourself in a bad situation that you didn't have to put yourself in the first place.
Don't get me wrong, i will make every effort to revive teammates, even weak pugs that are trying really hard, but they have to be within a reasonable distance...I don't expect nobody to come revive me if i'm somewhere on the other side of the map...i will gel-up or if i feel that most of the enemies are waxed, i'll most likely just wipe until the next wave starts....<----that can burn you tho, sometimes you think a pug can clutch with a few low level enemies left and then "mission failed".....

Yes Yes!
This strategy always gets me, They use all their rockets within the first 30sec of wave 11, then get trapped or cornered and cant get out with that last rocket they just used, or, they no longer can blast a free path to the LZ at the last few sec for extraction

You guys know that if most pugs do the mistakes you say they do, then that also means most of the folks talking trash here made the same mistakes too. So it's only natural that if you know better, you should be acting as the bigger brother in a team. Otherwise just play with your friends only, and never know what a challenge is.
And you guys keep saying pugs never gel. Well, all pugs don't have 6/6 ops/gels either. So if you only had 2 of each, you wouldn't be using them until later waves. And pugs do gel more later in a match from personal experience as well. ... Just don't know if they know what ops packs are?

Maybe they dont know, but I had made sure the RNG gave me 6/6/6/6/ before playing gold back then so as not to weigh the team down, but that's just me, and it doesnt take long to get it either.

I've had this happen a lot recently. I'll be chilled about most things, but not using medigel or rockets during objective waves and then launching every rocket during wave 11 makes my teeth itch.
It's meant that a few other games I've found myself in, if I notice during the first one or two objective waves nobody else using consumables (or I recognise players who've done that wave 11 rocket launching in previous games), I'll then wait until I am solo carrying a wave and whittle it down very slowly to one final boss enemy, then go and roam the map and do lots of gazing at the scenery.

That's fine mostly for gold, but lots of them also like to go into platinum, where they have no business in the first place. I didn't go into gold or platinum before I was fully ready for it, but I guess it's just human nature, we want everything right now and don't care to work long and hard to get what we want. You guys know that if most pugs do the mistakes you say they do, then that also means most of the folks talking trash here made the same mistakes too. Not necessarily, you're assuming that basically everyone is good and tries to be the best they can for the good of one and all, unless they don't know better. In my experience most people are selfish ar5es if they think they can get away with it.

Actually its the easiest, since you aren't required to kill anything, you just have to kite and step into the extraction area at the last second, but most pugs dont seem to get that even after watching you in spectator mode get Lone Survivor to know that.
But yes some probably think that way and try and toe the line in open areas ![]()
On a side note, that dangerous feeling surely must overwhelm then when playing against Cerberus and seeing all the phantoms and goons come at them and not equipped in any way shape or form to do anything but cry mommy and hope the waaambulance comes quick!

Sounds like you guys can't stand losing. You should take it a wave at a time for best results. It's not rare for me to waste all rockets and gels by wave 5, but then when we still make it to payday & extraction, then wow, what I much better ride it ends up being for all involved.
And so what if I don't make paday? I got maxed manifest, what do I care. I'm in it only for a good time. Sadly the pugs do. But if you gave 'em a good time, they still stay in the lobby... and of course you bring out the real big guns to cheer em all up again, lol. That's what ME3mp should be about. Remember, everybody says it's all about the community that makes this game so good.

Like the post, but something else came to mind. In my earlier days, I never topped to 255 with Jumbo Packs, and was always running low. So it was quite frequent that I would end of in a match without something because I'd forget. So for sure I was that bleeding pug everyone hated every now and then. ![]()

Yes, for Platinum way to many go in only for the money, sadly. And yes to human nature.

Yes, sadly most folks are like that. But then, I like to think most folks play games for fun too.

Oh, it's OK to disagree. I'm just saying I found out how to make the most of it.
Also remember all pug habbits are spread. So they also might think things like rocketing on wave 11 is a must? Wouldn't want to show up to the party without any rockets. ![]()
If I'm getting too annoyed at pug laziness I know it's time to take a break, but I always use full consumables on gold and platinum and at approximately 640 hours of gameplay, I'm still a long way from a maxed manifest, so the credits are very useful to me, not just for UR's but also for the consumables.
Actually, even before maxed manifest I didn't care as much for credits after a certain point. Cause if I'm only playing for money, I won't last at playing this game longer - is what I realized. So only focused on having a good time and trying out all kinds of setups that I'd probably totally suck at, because the bottom line was about having a good time. And credits happen magically on the side.
