NPC amulets are fine. Drops are removed it seems. I presume its an attempt to stop farming.
Anyway, its hardly something worth fussing for, to me. Exploit-fixes are always welcome, I just wish BW publishes them in a changelog beforehand. ![]()

Why does it matter so much to you that I use the exploits ? There are worse things in the game that need fixing,... Why this was such a big priority is beyond me.
Is this patch even worth installing ?

Yeah, if you like customisation. The tinter and the storage chest become available.

Haha, so this is why I can't find Blackwall's amulet? I ran around the cells like mad. That's just ugh, really...

This is hardly new behaviour for the incompetents at Bioware.
Mako was more of a chore in ME than fun. How did they fix it in ME2? They got rid of it.
Mineral scanning was an incredible chore in ME2. How did they fix it? They got rid of it in ME3.
Loot system is broken in DA:I so people use an exploit to get some enjoyment out of it. How did they fix that? Sure as hell didn't fix the loot system but got rid of the exploit.
Amulets are being exploited in a DA:I Single Player game? Dear god, we can't have that. Get rid of it.
It's their MO, they don't have the competence to tweak or fix anything so they get rid of it instead.

From what I gathered, most people didn't like the Mako, and the mineral scanning was tedious. I'd rather spend my time playing the game, not looking at a globe and watching laser beams fly about as you mine.

You mean the one you could loot during his personal quest? I was missing that one even before this patch...

Yeah, I just read on the wiki that this particular one was bugged since patch 4. Well, that's great! ![]()

I was able to pick it up just fine when I had patch 4. I'm on the PS4 though.

This attitude that it doesn't matter as you can play and finish the game without the Amulets of Power is rather ridiculous. The same could be said about, well, ALL amulets, rings and belts. In fact, it could be said about 95% of the items and spells in the game.

Where the **** is the QA Team!?
And that means what, exactly? Maybe I think they're pretty? Or maybe I just want the damn things. Stop making excuses for the developers. They fucked up. AGAIN!
Where the hell is their QA team?

But you're not losing access to all of the other accessories now are you?

Not sure if mentioned before, but Cass' amulet in Champions of the Just didn't appear in the chest with the Masterwork Seeker Shield schematic, at least it didn't for me when I reloaded a couple times?
Most of them pre-Skyhold have appeared where they should, but that one proved elusive? Not sure about how the others will fare?

How many amulets are missing now - one for each companion and your main? or more than that?

It seems more is missing.

I didn't get one for Cold Endured and the Fade quest. Didn't get on for Vivienne during the Winter Palace mission nor the one for Blackwall in Adamant. Didn't get one for Cole for killing Imshael.
Didn't get any amulets for defeating dragons either.
It was fine pre-patch 5 as I remember picking an amulet for Varric during that Hinterlands Carta mission.

patch 4 I got amulets of power. mid way through this current play through which updated to patch 5 I have stopped getting them. ![]()
who bloody cares if people are using an exploit in SINGLE PLAYER! I wasn't but were the console easy to use like in Skyrim, you damn well bet I'd be having some fun.

I get trying to stop an exploit, but it seems something went wrong in the process.

Why would this matter? You really don't need any armor to win this game. It isn't very hard. So why not just get rid of all gear. By your logic that would be just fine. Since one could (easily) complete the game without gear.

I don't usually like exploits because it takes the fun out of it, but the loot system in this game is kinda bad.
I recently found out that there's a duplicating loot exploit, but it's too late now since it has already been patched.
