Patch 5 problem

Previously, disrupting rifts in with the Action Cam required that we hold down the interact button while we did it. But from the Tac Cam, we could just give the command and see it carried out (just like attack or movement commands).
But now that doesn't work. I can't interact with rifts at all with the Tac Cam active. Now I have to switch to the Action Cam to disrupt rifts, and that's extremely annoying.
I really hope they fix this.

A patch broke something.. Shocker.......
Half of the orders given in Tac cam arent followed as instructed.. Half the time, you cant even zoom out enough to see the darn rifts.. The initial fight in the beginning comes to mind.. Horrible angles..

Patch 5 did change the zoom so we can see rifts in Tac Cam, now, but it doesn't help because we can't interact with them.
At least, I can't. I've seen no one else mention the problem.

So, I don't use the Tac Cam very much because (at least pre patch) I found it very irritating. But I've just tested it, I entered Tac Cam mode just before a fight at a rift, and without leaving Tac Cam at all I successfully interacted with the rift twice (disrupting it) by R clicking on it with no problems. I'm playing on a PC.

Yep, just cleared the last hinterlands rift from tac cam.

Having the same problem, can't access rifts to disrupt them.
This is really annoying.

Maybe it is to do with the zoom option you chose, have you tried changing to a different zoom option?

I could never interact with them before Patch 5, i just assume you couldn't in Tac Cam, it was another reason i hated it.

After patch 5, my mage inquisitor seems to be doing zero damage with her ranged attacks and she's a fire dps knight enchanter. She was doing a lot of damage before the patch but now...I seriously can't do any damage with ranged spells, only knight enchanter melee attacks. What's going on?

I was using it fully zoomed out - as that was the first thing I did after Patch 5. I also briefly messed around with some of the other control options like mouse look but couldn't recreate your issue. Although in one test I somehow prevented the rift from activating at all (no demons spawned and unable to activate it) - I couldn't recreate this though.

Since Patch 5, it's no longer possible to close or disrupt rifts from Tac Cam mode.

I am strating to think that Frostbite 3 is just not cut out to be a good action RPG engine. It is only good for rendering short-haired Jarheads.
