If BioWare really developing a new Mass Effect game, they would share much more info regarding its development by now. With current level of promotion I'd say they have frozen or canceled the new game. I'm afraid new ME became the same myth as Half Life 3. All fans are expexting it, but the game will never be developed.

Given that the gamers consensus is that Dragon Age is the much better franchise, it's obvious that the smart move is to put more effort into expanding it than waste resources on something that peaked with the first game.

Yes, but they could decide to cancel the game after the servey was complete. Not because of the survey results of course. For some other reasons. Maybe EA believes ME universe is not popular enough to spend money for AAA next gen development, and BioWare doesn't want to produce new ME game with smaller budget.

After Mass Effect 3, we didn't have official Inquisition news until a year later. Before that, we just had a few tweets just like we already do for the next Mass Effect. In fact they showed a early build of the engine only a few months ago for the next entry along with some concept art. Inquisition didn't even have that until much later.

What else did you expect? Bioware to abandon Inquisition when it's sold so well? Inquisition will probably see an expansion before you hear about the next Mass Effect but the info above should tell you to stop being so impatient....

They cancelled the original IP they were planning, so if anything its to concentrate more on ME4. There was an article about multiplayer in ME4 middle of last month IIRC.

Dragon age is better than Mass Effect?? First time hearing it. I like Dragon Age, but i LOVE Mass Effect. Shepard and his crew will forever be the best for me, the whole series is about the characters and Citadel DLC proved it. Dragon age is more about the world as a whole, i never felt that connected to it.
Saying that, i really hope we'll hear more about ME4, i need more crying over fictional characters

There was a leak a while back about a couple new races and stuff like that.
Personally I think they are gonna burn out Inquisition (DLC, etc.) before they start hyping the next ME.
It's everywhere, like love.
Then apparently I am blind and only through divine intervention able to read and post this very message, because I have never seen any significant sentiment like that outside the DA sections, which means nothing because the ME section says the exact opposite, both obviously being biased.
Or maybe, if said consensus really is like love, your overwhelming capacity for the latter tips the scale, forming a significant majority on itself.
They working with a wholly new engine for the team and it's probably going to be open world and they need to keep as quiet as possible so they don't get a repeat of the ME3 mess. Of course we haven't heard anything.
