And if they will remain so silent about both newME and DA franchises, then I'm afraid it will mean EA is going to close BioWare. Twitter posts and forum talks about these games is nothing. Just talks, like the talks about Half Life 3. I expect to see trailers and demonstration of gameplay. I expect to see official newME website with screenshots from the game. Right now I see nothing that indicates that BioWare is alive at all.

...One more bad sign. They developed the game that should be developed in two years for much longer, and released it full of bugs as if the half of the company was fired and the remaining employees had to release at least something.

Too many reasons to worry.

Oh my god, just go sit and play Killzone Shadowfall or whatever game you've now decided is the greatest ever and quit being the lowest common denominator. You're the reason we get crap games that full of bugs that got rushed to fit into a two year dev cycle.

Yes, Talimancers were too much for BW to bear. They shut the whole thing down, the end.

You don't like the Tali sweat?

How could I forget about this. I know the reason why EA will never close BioWare. They have stable money maker - SW MMO. But unfortunately, this may not be enough to sustain all other BioWare projects. So, reason to worry about new Mass Effect still remains. Silence is a bad sign. And silence on upcoming E3 will only mean ME quiet death.

It's not dead.

Don't sit in a corner with a tin foil hat.

They just aren't saying anything. They don't need to say anything. BioWare is fine. EA isn't going to close them.

Dragon Age and Mass Effect are fine.

Stop worrying about it.

You're overreacting.

Until recently, the reason for the silence was that they wanted full ahead on the Inquisition hype train. They were riding that train until well after launch with the massive success the game saw in the GOTY awards in the last few months.

Even then it depends on how close to being done the next Mass Effect they are. It's confirmed that it's a thing, but you don't want to start ramping up the Mass Effect hype train too early.

Silence at E3 isn't the death knell for Mass Effect.

Naw, EA and BioWare are a corporation. And corporations are always willing to run an idea and product into the ground until it is no longer profitable. ME3 was the best selling game in the series. There will be another one.

There is money to be made. And thus EAWare is in.

Silence is almost never a death knell for a major franchise if it has ownership. Jurassic Park 4 has had wave after wave of delays and rewrites and everything else, but I never had the impression that the franchise was done because the groundwork was laid and JP has been a titanic moneymaker. I see ME4 in the same light. There have probably already been rewrites and other developmental snafus, and those are undoubtedly going to delay the game's release.

But I don't see how that's a bad thing. ME3 was rushed and look at the mess that ensued. I would much prefer they take their time, and I'm in no hurry. I care about playing as Shepard and the team again, and don't expect that to happen in vanilla ME4. So the release of this game is of little interest to me.
