I wouldn't object. I often roleplay all sides of a conversation.
I also don't particularly mind what BioWare actually did in DAI. Nothing Hawke said violated my headcanon (which is amazing, because my headcanon contradicts much of DA2), and NPC comments about the Warden actually reinforced my headcanon.

why dead? so you dont have to fuss with them again?
a tiny introduction: i don't consider Hawke or Inquisitors my chars. they are BW creations with absolutely no room for my ideas
as i've said, i don't think i would be able to RP two different people (for example warden and a new PC). and i don't wish to see my warden spouting nonsense like Hawke with whom i didn't connect at all.
do i dislike the idea?
only if it's not optional. and it is. unless the game choses to ignore my choices in my canon PT, like... killing Leliana sacrificing the warden?
