It would be a nice addition. That way I don't have to carry around a purple sword if id rather it looked like a proper steel or obsidian sword. Mmmkay. Also being able to name every weapon I find would be sweeeeeeeeet. Except for perhaps the unique ones idk, DISCUSS!!
Tinting Weapons and Naming or re-naming weapons...

I agree. It's a simple enough addition, I was a bit disappointed that it wasn't included with the armor tints.

Weapons don't change colour based on the material you use though. Unlike the Armour cloth

Yeah but once the Emporium gets here I kind of want them slaving away on the DLC.
I want to know where this is going.
The armor tinting is great, but I can put up with a weird looking weapon if it means I get to see the next chapter of the book.

They do change color. Based on which metal you use to craft it, same as the metal in armor.

Yeah, yea they do. Lazurite, Neverrite, Dawnstone are all blue or purple shaded and your blade will hve a bluish or purple luster. Osidian and Onyx are darker, iron is iron, while Veridium and serpenstone is green while Stormheart (that right?) has a more darkish teal green luster. Bloodstone is obviously dark red. If you make a weapon with a certain metal as its blade or in the main DPS slot then that's the color blade you'll have, Making a grip or pommel or shaft or anything else metal will have a metal metallic color based on the metal you use and so on. Your comment is boggling my mind, Not trying to be a jerk im just wondering how you didn't notice this. MAybe u will now? lol sorry.

Interesting if in his game they really don't change color. Or mabe he isn't using an HD TV or is color blind to the point of seing only red blue and green and has never used bloodsgtone veridiu, or lazurite yet? Maybe his game is an anomaly the one and should return to the source or save trinity.

Yea but ya know im really picky with visuals and aesthetics and some colors are ok even if I don't prefer them but the purple of awnstone and neverite or the green of veridium just bother me. Plus I like Onyx and Obsidian color for blackwall as I made all his stuff black and silver... lol. All Cole wears is red and black and then later on all black and white or Pyrvault or Pyrsault or whatever that cap is you can buy from the vendor in skyhold. its the metal that makes things look kindslike greyish steel with the details of any engravings sort of minimalized. Its a cool looking color but anyway he wears all white and black now. Cassandra wears Dark shades of blue or black, and silver with yellowish orange/drakestone color or dark green and a bright color (haven'tfgured out her color scheme yet so mostly I go Templar with her o Light blue, blue and then orange yellowish or bright silvers and such. Solas is A spirit of Lighting Rift mage so he is green and black or purple and black or the right shade of purple and stromheart color green (I only jnow the metal types not the cloths or many of the leathers) while dorian wear orange and blue or orange and dark colors. or red and orange. As he is PyroNecro Mage of the Spirit. Sera wears Plaidweaves and blues and unmatching colors to fit her trashy like personality. She also has a rimmed hat. Vivien is the queen of Ice (literally a Bia***) so she wears Blue all shades of blue silver and some dark leathers. Iron Bull wears Purple striped stuff or plaidweave with red or obsidian armor. Myself I wear Black (Great Bear leather) trench coat or battlemaster coat with obsidian gaultlets of metal and a warden helmet. I got sick of the Inquisitors helmet and the warden helmet goes well with the trench coat. But Blackwalls Warden Helmet either onyx or Silver. Varric wears whatever matching colors to toned cuz he's slick like dat.
Spoiler
Kinda....
THe change of appearance of the characters tarot cards? Happen more than once? What it means. Idk how to hide sentnces so ont look ccuz its a small spoiler and I don't wan to visit the spoiler page and have something ruined cuz ive only gotten to the mission after the Ballroom Blitz shenanigans which was a nice touch could of been done better (actuall stealth combat idk....disguises. The whole mission reminded me of hitman games) But anyway SPOILER...
Cole's card is now like his senior picture as he is becoming more human I can understand.
But Because of a choice I made Varric's card is red with demons in background like he is tormented and im afraid to bring him into certain areas or near red lyrium. (I ddoubt it would have any affect but still id like to know if all characters can have this change and what they mean)

Staff grips and blades definitely change colour. I'm currently rocking a pink dawnstone Archon blade on my staff.

Different teams. The kind of DLC that adds content is a massive joint effort by the writers, scripters, level artists, etc, and it doesn't really involve those involved with items.

I noticed this wasn't included too, which I thought was strange. But weapons aren't really as "in-your-face" as the armor was. Weapon tinting is much more subtle, and easy enough to get around something you don't like by using a tier 2 instead of a tier 3 material, for example. The customized weapons are so OP anyway, I currently kill on nightmare mode with tier 1 weapons and tier 1 materials across the board.
