Hi everyone, im one of the modders that is working on DAI, so far I am working on one hairstyle at the moment but im hoping to make more for all races/genders specially for Qunari.
here is what i came up with so far, its not finished yet, still working on it....
Is there hope for us?..

Nice, whoever made those god awful hairstyle for this game, didn't really think it through. I will say that DAI has thee worst hairstyles I have seen in any game's CC.

I'm doing a test run of the hair I have now, if anyone is interested... but be warned .. as its not completely finished yet, there will be some problems, for example the hair WILL show up only in CC and cut scenes for now, but when u get into combat mode or just walking around it will go back to its vanilla state. This problem occurs because I haven't modified the level of detail of the lower res mesh yet
Why I want to do this test is because I want to see if it will work for everyone.. so please post, and let me know if u want to test it out in the state that it is right now

First of all males and females should have different hairstyles, not share them. There is nothing more cringe worthy seeing a male NPC have a hairstyle with a bun or Celene's hairstyle.Secondly, each race should have at least three hairstyles specifically design for that race.There is only one female hairstyle that is tolerable-the shoulder length hair with bangs swept to the right, the rest to me are just butt ugly.One of the reasons I'm waiting for Modders to come out with far better hairstyles then Bioware's own crappy team who lack imagination for hairstyles. The developers should be embarrassed by these hairstyles. A mullet may have been cool back in 80s or even on Macgyver, but for a Dragon Age game? No just no. Can you just imagine if Gandalf wore a mullet?
I understand your frustration, but to the same token, I personally don't think its called for to talk "down" to BW's work. That said , yes the hairstyles that they have now, may not be to everyone's liking, BUT you would have to think of it from their perspective, like perhaps they have ran out of time, or they needed to spend those kind of resources elsewhere. The DAI team is very talented and i bet 1 mil$ that they could make hair 100x better them me, but I don't think its fair to compare a modder to a professional dev. A modder has the luxury to take their sweet arse time with anything while big company devs don't have that, they are constantly under stress and time limits on what they can do.
Will we be seeing some of the hairs you posted here any time soon, or is it still too limited for those? 
And I appreciate you defending the devs, but hair -- for our characters, at least, special NPCs look fine usually -- has consistently been a weakness in DA games. It's like Bioware doesn't realize just how much people care about their character's appearance or something, or they get people with a good sense of style to design, say, Josie's hair and then ... somebody else to design the CC hair.
Will we be seeing some of the hairs you posted here any time soon, or is it still too limited for those?

Since I made those hairs a while back my PC got messed up, so I had to re install my windows and i basically lost all my work BUT to answer your question, some of those hairs Ive made i could redo to a certain extent but it will take me some time. Right now the tool we are working with is pretty limited so we cant import custom meshes, like say port hairs or armors from other games, or even import something made from scratch. Right now im basically just manipulating the existing hairs that are in the game
Great work Adela. Will play Inquisition again just to see how lovely custom hair looks.
Small request/question: if its possible to make more hair in the future could you, add a bangs hairstyle to the list? For example the NewSea's Paulina or Lucia+Sesame hairstyles for Sims 3. (The original CC has no good bang hairstyles to hide eyebrows. )

Hey, Adela, I've been trying to contact you via the DAI Tools forum, but I do not access to post there. Keep up the good work, and I hope you make a ponytail mod soon, preferably one that resembles Zoey's from Left 4 Dead 2, model can be found here, http://tf3dm.com/3d-...zoey-54861.html for reference.

Oh my gosh I had no idea you lost your work. That is SO demotivating, I'm sure.

It is a grate news. I'm working in 3dsmax and always wanted to redesign helmets and hats, but I assumed that it is impossible. Tell me, can I import-export mesh from DAI to 3dsmax and back? Also my textures with normal maps?

Is it possible to make wavy hair? Say, making the "ponytail" real ponytail with wavy locks?

That's really cool. Nothing unrealistic like the anime or glitter hairstyles we had in Origins, just something nice and simple. Fits the game so well!
Too bad I can't use it on the PS4, but it's fantastic for every PC gamer out there!

Yes because they rather focus their time and energy on other things rather then improving the game's CC selection. But truth be told you did something that the Devs never really acomplished, giving us the cool hairstyles. And that really means a lot to us players. If The DAI team is very talented as you say, they wouldn't have come up with these poor excuse for hairstyles within 4 years of development. i'm thinking it's down to laziness seeing that they focused on useless war assets and side quests that serve no purpose to this game other then to waste our time. It's an interesting idea though, but poorly executed with basically zero impact on anything.
Ahhh, this makes me so excited and happy! Adela, you are amazing! Thank you so much for all the time and hard work you've put in to make DA:I an even better game.
