Reboot your computer. That will end the active process. Then, before you attempt to restart the game, open Origin, right-click on DAI, and choose "Repair Game". After that, you will probably be able to play, but you may have to start it from Origin instead of your desktop icon.

In any case, your description of the problem is like me asking you "my computer is not working, please help". If you were to help me, ask yourself what information you need to have a go at it.... apply same questions to your situation.
Try:
1. Describe your system ( IE: cpu, ram, OS, driver versions, patch version, graphics hardware)
2. How you started DAI. Did you Logon to origins, started the game via origins.
3. Q&A will provide you with clues on how to describe this info.
Good luck

excuse me but i described that the game has not been working since update 5 and i included a picture, which is more than most people give honestly. and i dont really know my specs and i cant really open up my laptop. i can tell you ive tried the shortcut(run as admin too) and origin and ive even navigated into the root folder and tried the .exe so excuse me for being a little confused and not knowing the "proper way" to ask questions.
