This is not a complaint just something they could perhaps address. Its something that's been complained about too much but those complainers missed something while complaining about "lack of tactics" they dint mention how the games camera could be more user friendly if during battles it stuck a little closer to the controlled character and allowed you to strafe without locking onto enemies because the lock on feature really sucks.
It doesn't factor in "closest enemies or most endangering enemies" it just goes from enemy to enemy even if that enemy is 15 meters away and your fighting two low level enemies one meter away, forcing you to go into tac cam when switching to different lock on enemies to prevent wasting a move. (gladly shield bash and revenge slash just reboot if you miss or hit an object. same with some archery attacks)
Also a lock on feature wouldn't be necessary if the attack button wasn't a hold down to attack continuously or click to attack and just Click to attack, click multiple times to continuously attack. That way each time I input a regular attack I can switch targets in between, utilizing my stagger attributes to attack multiple enemies at once with a One handed weapon from all angles (even better cick multiple times in a ryhthmic fashion not button mashing to boost critical chance and damage to armor or guard. Lords of the Falen Implements this idea but that game has other short comings that overshadow the idea,)
I appreciate the different animations when you attack an enemy to the side (if to the left you'll use your shield or do a thrusting attack and if you keep moving forward witht the movement stick while attacking the attacks are different but idk if this affects DPS or what. Also idk if holding the attack button or clicking it multiple times will show a difference in DPS.
Also if the camera was down and over the shoulder like in mot third person games instead of always wanting to go above (instead it should allow me to attack above or a ittle higher ineatd of moving to an overhead camera. Why move to an overhead cam when you can do that at the press of a button.) This would also add to the more action oriented gameplay which I like when facing a horde of low levels or after ive positioned my companions so that no enemy is left ignored and everyone is attacking a enemy and spaced out enough to not hit each other. With a better, closer camera it may limit field of vision but it also makes toe to toe duels seem more paractical esepcialt when its two swordsmen fighting it out. I know this game doesn't use a realistic hitbox or anything like having to time your parry with they enemy attack or what not . I think im referring to the fact that its based on DPS and not a straight up action games contact or Hit detection. In that way, DAI is more of an old school RPG rather than an ACTION RPG.
But if you look at Dragon's DOgma and its idea and concepts for combat and skills and classes then and playable action sequences (terrible A.I. No auto lock nor does my character lunge forward when attacking resulting in many instances where, because its a game and I cant quite judge depth of field, I miss enemies by inches instead of the game factiroing my forward momentum or simply factoring in the movement stick being pressed forward and changing the snimation slightly so I take a couple steps forawd or lunge forward before attacking instead of stopping in my tracks and completely overriding the charging or running animation and switching straight to whatever attack I make like stp animation. ANways...there it is another lazy rant from The Lazyest jester in town. That's why im number 13 out of 13. There where 12 desciples but the devil had 13 Jester's.... its a legend im working on BTW...
P.S. CAMERA/PHOTO MODE even though tac cam with no hud is virtually photo mode but without the features and filters and all the things you saw in Mordor's photo mode and Last Of Us if you played those games. It makes screenshots easier and allows for angles you wouldn't be able to get with a free roam camera or the regular game camera, placing it right in the game and getting any kind of shot you want. I wonder what kind of objections the overly cynical will have towards photo mode. Or the overly hatefull "I hate your idea cuz im a brooding a hole" types.
This Game needs a photo mode where it simply gets tact on to tac cam. Press a certain button while in tac cam and it goes into photomode with a camera that has more versatility then the tac cam like beng able to pan all the way down to the surface of the ground and look upwards and perhaps it would be limited to the player you are currently playing as or a full 360 degree sphere of viewing.
