Mass Effect: Ashley

Dragon Age: Liliana

 

Winner: Dragon Age. 

 

I don't know, I feel like back in midevil times love seemed to mean alot more than how it is in today's world. Like for instance on my Ferjis playthrough I slept with ashley then slept with Miranda and broke up with Miranda and told Ashley it was a fling with Miranda and asked for her forgiveness. After some time and space I got Ashley back. For Draven sure initially I started with Dorian but after I broke up with him I told Cassandra what I've done and told her she was the woman for me. After the "romantic moment" she felt attached to me. When I made Cassandra divine she felt heart broken because of our positions but felt still devoted to my character. Frankly i feel the two different era's treat love a bit different.

 

As far as "hygene" is concerned defenetly MASS EFFECT. There was a show I watched last year on SYFY where two teams where either caveman or future/modern tech. When the cave people lost they got mad because they had to hand cook, eat, and clean themselves while future/modern tech people had cell phones, microwaves and hot showers. All I can give cave people were "team work" since Mass Effect people use guns and semi squad orders they still tend to act like loners here and there. DA seemed to be way more unified.

Winner: Liara simply because I've spent more time with her than with Cassandra.

If I had to choose between the two, I wouldn't!  Leliana could take the place of my shep and have little blue babies with Liara after saving Thedas from the archdemon Sovereign.

 

In all seriousness, between the two I'd give the narrow margin of victory to Liara simply because her relationship unfolded over three games.  If Leliana got the same treatment I might melt into goo...

DA: It is not a possibility for me to choose between Alistair/Fenris/Cullen. 

 

ME: Kaiden, Kaiden, Kaiden. 

 

Kaiden.   My sad panda, the universe's sweetest badass, Mr. Perfect, Sir soulful eyes. 

 

 

When I'm playing male (defaultish)

 

DA: Leliana/Isabela/Dorian

 

ME: Miranda, ftw.

Dragon Age: Don't know, I've enjoyed Leliana's romance with my female characters and had a male Warden for Zevran and Morrigan that I enjoyed. 

 

Mass Effect: Garrus

 

Overall I'd say Leliana I guess, partially because my female Brosca romancing her was my favorite playthrough

I would always choose Garrus despite him being a weird alien spacebird-thingy. His personality is much more interesting and entertaining to me than Cullen's is. Cullen is just so bland and meek. Plus, I only really began to like Cullen in Dragon Age: Inquisition, but I loved Garrus during the entire Mass Effect series... AND THAT VOICE! But seriously, I've yet to find any LI's as captivating as Garrus, he is an easy-to-love character even if you aren't romancing him (in my opinion), he's like your best friend in the entire friggin' galaxy! Always by Sheps side no matter the situation. Oh, and the additional romance scenes and dialogue with the Citadel and Leviathan DLCs made it all so much better. 

 

Just give me a Garrus... please, WORLD, PLEASE!

I think Isabela is still my favorite romance, Liara comes really close during ME 2 and 3.

I don't do well with tough choices My favorite two dragon age romances are actually tied. Since I seem to like chantry boys... except for Sebastian. He can stay way OVER THERE. And then there's Garrus... who I'm only capable of romancing in mass effect. I've tried the others, and none of them can make me change my mind

 

Dragon Age: Alistair and Cullen. (I like Carth a lot, too... but it's KOTOR)

Mass Effect: Garrus.

 

So um... as much as Cullen likes calibrating the trebuchets, and I find Alistair extremely witty. Garrus is still my favorite romance... bar none. Might be because Garrus was what initially caught my interest when I watched my husband playing it! Then I never looked back.

Oh, yes, that dreamy voice that makes you melt a like an ice cream in the sun. If one could fall in love with just a voice alone, Garrus' voice would definitely be that voice. And think he looks hot as hell, no matter being an alien.

I actually noticed Nihlus first and thought "Holy horses!" but then later on Garrus showed up and I was completely sold. Too bad Garrus wasn't an option in ME1 because my Shep was already then totally his.

Mass Effect: Garrus

Winner is currently Garrus, largely because of Citadel dlc and with a little help from the MEHEM. I love the Solas romance though, and the winner could change if there's some good dlc content for it.

ME 3: Kaiden or Garrus, so hard to choose.

 

I only romanced Garrus recently as loved his storyline. But ah, the drama of romancing Thane in ME 2 and then his "departure" in ME 3.  So Shakespearean in a tragic way! Aria's bar calls to me after the hospital visit. I wake up on her couch.

ME: Samara hands down. I'm a sucker for tragedy, and she was such a complex and well-thought out character that I fell in love with her easily. 

 

DA: Merrill for much the same reason. A lot is made of her naivety, but she's no joke. She's dangerous and everyone underestimates her... that's why she's so successful at keeping demons at bay. That's why she's so frightening. That's why she's so freaking hot. 

 

Favorite of the two? Can't pick.

In general, I feel like there is more of a connection with the ME love interests, but that's because Shepard and this relationship developed over the course of several games. The VS romance had it's ups and downs as romances do, and there was a lot of baggage carried over from the ME2 romances to ME3 (even Jacob, crap move though it was, had something different happen)

 

However, the DA interests gave me more freedom. I could bond with whoever I wanted, particularly in Inquisition (and I could get shot down by folks like Cullen or Sera, and that's something that happens in life. Only Samara turned you down in ME). I also didn't feel like I was being pushed towards one choice, like ME felt like it was doing with Liara.

Each time I see and hear Cullen I can't help myself but think of him as "Alistair's clone that lacks sense of humor"

Out of those two I'd go with Isabella any day but, SWToR's Kira Carsen wins it for me. She's my fav Bioware romance

IMHO, Liara's romance is the most accomplished.

In general, I like ME companions over DA. Feel more connected to them.

DA: That's a really tough one. Zevran and Dorian are quite the charmers, but Alistair and Cullen are real sweethearts. Fenris, on the other hand, well... any more broody and women have babies in his name. :-p Anders is ideal for tragicness all around... Cassandra is tough and yet so romantic, I can't help but go 'Aww...'

Screw it, I'll pick Alistair since he's first alphabetically. And because he says one of my favourite 'battle cries' that always makes me laugh: "New tactic... bite... ankles..." 

With that said..... Can't I have them both?
