so i've looked around crestwood and found 2 blades.
looked for the group that were supposed to be at the fishermans hut. they werent there.
so i went to the valammar area. didnt find any blades.
went to the western approach and killed some of the white bandits. none had a blade.
is this quest bugged or is there some other place to find one of the blades?
I got plenty of assassin blades for my rogue (though I went for Tempest). Hafter's Woods in Hinterlands has assassins, also assassins in Crestwood respawn.

They are located only in Crestwood.

EDIT: I had no idea you could get them from White Claw Raiders or around Valammar. I've not had a problem finding the clowns in Crestwood. I stand corrected.
If you haven't drained the lake at Crestwood yet, the assassins they may spawn in the water and drown or something? I'm not sure, but I encountered it this weekend, where I went over there and found their packs in waist high water by the shack.

Actually there's more ways to gain items needed for spec than what wiki says. I always find it funny that I have more than enough materials for spec that I'm not planning to choose (or can't choose).
For assassin... What wiki says: White Claw Riders in Western Approach, Valammar assassins and Crestwood ones dropped those. I also got some from Harlequins during 'Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts', although it seems a little late. Those are the ones I'm sure of, but I still have a feeling those aren't the only ones I got... I think either Outlaws or Lyrium Smugglers in Hinterlands have a chance of dropping it... Can't be sure on that one, since I'm mostly paying attention to drops for mage's specs.

I can give you some of mine. After all I've gathered to get stupid seed...
I still don't have it because, of course, I've had to learn later on that it seems to be bugged.
So that's what those things are for... My champion inquisitor has like 30 of them.
Just forget assassin, and go tempest (aka dragon killer)
