I'd like to request a patch that gives us the option to turn on auto-healing, which would take effect after each battle - like the auto healing in the previous games. This can be an option in the "Gameplay" menu, so if you don't want it, then do not select it. Thank you.

This could easily be implemented while playing on Casual.

Yup. Exactly. I'd really like it to be an option since casual play is an option. There's nothing very casual about restocking potions every five minutes. :/

The game is just all over the dang place. Kinda like everyone at BIO that was helping make any desicions at all had multiple personality disorders. On one hand you have them saying we wanting to make it harder and not allow unlimited health to the player based on mana regen. On the other you have Gaurd, Barriers, and completely free full insta heals which are limited but really make no sense in the whole scheme of things. All this wonky system does is wastes the players time with loading screens between battles.. and more or less gives total imunity based on cooldowns instead of mana.. derp? Yea maybe someone can explain how that is any more difficult instead of just more frustrating?
And +1 for you idea it's something they left out for really no "good" reason other than adding to the amount of loading screens players have to sit through unless you wanna go into ever other battle on less than 10% health? Obviously this is less of an issue later game when defensive upgrades are capped at a much higher level an armor gets too strong but early on it's just a crapy system.
This is what I do,
Just use the heal over time potions after combat only. Think of them as your regen out of combat. And upgrade them fully ASAP and this whole issue becomes much less of an actual "issue". Sadly you won't get them fully upgraded untel midgame/lategame so pick all the elfroot you come across until then lolz.

Yea I think lower difficulties do have your dudes come back after dying with more health.

Doesn't casual already give you like... I dunno, almost all your health back after you die?
I honestly don't bother with the reviving thing - it's very inconvenient and makes battle that much harder and that much less casual. If someone happens to die right next to my character, then I might attempt it.
But I'm talking about after combat and no one has died, but everyone already sucked down a bunch of potions during combat. Afterwards we're all on extremely low health and now I have to stop everything I'm doing and warp back to a camp to restock. It's tedious and not very fun.

Yeah, so much this. It's tedious to have to load over to a camp. Load up to rest/restock. Load back to an area that was somewhat NEAR where you previously were, and then try to retrace your steps with respawning enemies and more battles that result in a depletion of potions.
I just think auto heal should be an option you can toggle on or off, especially if you would rather continue on your path.

Just load up all your team mates with regen potions and harvest lots of elf root...seriously. The game is incredibly easy even on nightmare. Run at least 2 mages with barrier and never really need to use potions.
I'm trying to do everything to make the game more challenging:
I currently play with a mod that majorly reduces exp gain to avoid leveling too fast http://www.nexusmods...tion/mods/307/?
I don't ever use barrier because it's OP imo
I restrict myself to 3 party members
I restrict myself to T1 schematics only for weapons/armor (T2 and higher is too OP)
I don't use FOCUS abilities
I don't use jar of bees
I don't take potion upgrades
I don't take Knight Enchanter

Take my insight for what it's worth to help you play the game without running into this issue.

I think you want us to be impressed with your gameplay, I just believe your bragging is redundant.

I used the handicaps I presented in my previous post to draw a point. The game can presently be played with current mechanics to avoid the desire for this auto heal option.

Play with Healing Grenade, Regen Potions and regular potions all upgraded and on casual and with 2 mages doing barrier and with full party...I don't think this will be an issue.
I hate grinding too, and I just pick up herbs as I quest...and I end up with a substantial amount.

Don't honestly think this is a brag here guys. It's legitamately usefull information especially for newer players. Especialy the regen potion info. Much of this you likely won't learn about tell quite a lot of hours of gameplay. Sadly knowing this much about the mechanics can RUIN your experience though. So close your EYES lmfao
Serously though the mechanics are just broken on soo many levels it gets hard to play at all after awhile. Thankfully I didn't pay attention to things well enough to find most of this out tell well over a couple hundred hours. If that makes you feel any better lolz

Regardless of everyone's tips and tricks - I want auto heal back. I've beaten the game three times. It's not like I need advice on how to play. I just want auto heal back.
Exactly. It's our choice on how we should be allowed to play the game. Many of us just wants to enjoy the options the game have to offer that aren't forcing us to fight all the time. I personally just like going through the game fast and making different decisions, skipping the scenes that I already know and avoiding as much fights as possible when I can. An option to recover HP automatically after battles wouldn't be so bad.

Same, and if they allow it to be toggled I don't see why anyone would have any issue with it. Actually I don't see any issue even if it's NOT toggled. Especially if it's only out of combat regen.

Ok this just shows how crappy of a job BW did of explaining stuff. Resources don't use up inventory space and never did. Although, why tier 1 plants cost as much as they do is beyond me.
Edit: I don't use patch 5 yet so maybe that has changed.

I know the valuables took up space. The crafting stuff I wasn't sure about, but regardless the sheer amount of grinding and looting and picking up stuff was a storage nightmare. My response about the storage chest was mainly a jab at the initial lack thereof and how absolutely dumb that was. lol
