Instead of Stroud why not an Awakening Warden?

I just think that there was too much focus on making him entertaining and too little focus on developing his character. It makes him come off as a joke character to me. Sera may be similar in her humor, but I think that she benefits from having more of her personality being explored.

To remain on topic, I probably am more invested in Stroud's well being than I would be in the well being of any of the Awakening wardens. That's not to say I don't like chose companions, but I guess I just never had much of a chance to get very attached to them.

And you had a chance to get more invested in Stroud? You interact more with the DAA companions than you do with Stroud in DA2 and DAI combined.

I didn't need a chance to develop an investment in Stroud. I liked him upon meeting him. I can't really say the same for anyone in Awakening except for Anders, really.
