BioWare, please let us wear our armour in Skyhold. The body models for some of the characters look atrocious in those pajamas. And the pajamas in of themselves are atrocious/hideous.

Let us wear the armour that takes up nearly half our gameplay to craft.

edit: PC players, this doesn't concern you... I mean... unless you need a link to the nearest mod. ;)

With decent hairstyles, expecially for Qunari, having the chance to getting rid af those horrors we are forced to wear in Skyhold is one of the most asked thing about DAI. But the only swer we have got was a "is possible, but is not our priority". That means "we could, but no."  <_<

Just sayng: with cheat engine people on PC can use the armour in Skyhold. That would be all that we need.

It makes crafting armour feel pointless, aesthetically speaking. I can't even look at my armour during Skyhold cut scenes. This really feels like a giant corner being cut. On top of that, why isn't this a priority? Isn't part of the fun of a video game the eye candy? Beyond that, isn't Dragon Age considered a video game in which you create a custom character? This should absolutely be a priority. Maybe it should not trump all other issues, but if BioWare is having to triage their issues according to priority, then it's time for them to re-evaluate the business model - hence, don't release broken games. I'm not saying the pajamas indicate that the game is broken, but if there are far worse issues out there taking precedence....sounds like a broken machine to me.

Would it be so hard to add it to a patch? We can wear our armor in Haven, why remove it for Skyhold? Quizzy looks silly and unprotected in her PJs. The most important person in Thedas right now walks around unprotected....yes, yes Skyhold is the home base but...assassins anyone? Ben'hassrath spies have infiltrated after all.  <_<

There are already lots of mods that change the look of the Skyhold PJs.

Mods that re texture them into some other color and pattern of too tight pajamas. CE had a toggle to put armor on in Skyhold but, that isn't working right now, still needs updated for patch 5.

Too tight PJs, IMO, in any color or pattern are still the same too tight PJs. Recoloring would offer a bit of variety but still it won't cure the problem of spray paint can clothes in Skyhold - armor cures it.

I am a PC player and I agree. I would love to wear my armour in skyhold. Then maybe I can play elves again. (I abandoned both male and female elves when I hit skyhold. Just gah)

The mods that recolor are nice for some I'm sure, but they won't help my dislike of how the elves body models are done and in skyhold cutscenes well, I just can't do it.

The "PJ's" don't even look like PJ's.  They look like and overly tight leather outfit to me.  I've had a lot of PJ's in my 30 plus odd years on the planet, but none of them have been leather. Maybe they would bother me less if they looked like the ring velvet or looked shinier like the Royal Sea Silk.

Having said that, I do like the pants and boots.  I think we just need some kind of alternate top.  Maybe a little looser looking for both genders?  Iron bull and Cole have options for looser looking pants on their armors.  So it can be done to have stuff be more "casual".

This thing we wear in Skyhold must be one of the horrible crimes against fashion sense in the history of video gaming. Get rid of it, I agree. Unfortunately, even for PC players this is currently a problem since the CE script has not been adapted to the lastest patch and of all functions, it's the Skyhold Outfit script that ceased to work.

Get rid of this damned thing and give us our armor in Skyhold, Bioware! Retexturing is not enough since the model itself is the bigger part of the problem.

Given the relatively dilapidated look of Skyhold, even after completely upgrading, Assassins would likely be overkill.  All the Inquisitor needs to do is fall thru one of the various gaping holes in Skyhold's defenses or get caught in a strong crosswind in the hallway leading to the War Table room.  Then POOF!, no more Inquisitor!  On Topic, Bioware seriously needs to Patch DAI to allow the Inquisitor to wear armor in Skyhold on all platforms including PC...

I am on the PC, but I still support this.   My paranoid rogue was not the type to run around without armor after leaving Haven, and I don't want to use the Cheat Engine for that option.  I feel that it should have been available as a choice early on.  I never minded the style of the clothes, only the color.  I do find it very weird that there isn't a toggle for armor at Skyhold.  After taking a look at the CE code for myself, it's literally as easy as changing a 0 to a 1 to implement.  I have no idea why the design team thought that those clothes were a good idea after the events of Haven.  Since I know it's truly as easy as a toggle setting, I would love to see this in game.

Sure, I could mod, but I'd rather see everyone get this option, or at least an option to recolor the Skyhold outfit without a mod.   That outfit color is ugly, and I have hated it since they released the footage of it back in Beta.   Making the outfit beige to hid the dirt effect was a poor solution, and one that turned out just hideous looking.  The dirt disappears after a minute or two indoors anyway, so I think having a variety of colors would be worth a little dirt.  I do know that wearing black clothes on my Inquisitor during judging felt more...authoritative, I suppose.

The dilapidated state of Skyhold kinda reminds me of this situation from Robot Chicken Star Wars.  Poor Palpatine can't catch a break...

I wonder why Bioware is so hesitant about this. This must be the one point of criticism about which pretty much everyone agrees. It's incomprehensible that we're stuck with what's clearly a testing outfit.

I agree and that says a lot to me.  The BioWare fans can be fickle and are often at odds with one another, sometimes to extreme degrees.  While I have heard a few defending the style of the outfit (I think the style is fine, other than too tight on the guys,) no one is defending the color beige.   If the devs explained to folks that the dirt creeping up on the armor and clothes is an intended (if an utterly stupid) effect, gave us either color options or the option to wear our armor, I think players would be happy on that front.  I think the largest amount of mods on nexus is the pajamas, and that's weird to me.   I find it strange, because you'd figure that with all of the rest of the customization options, something as basic as this would have had more choices as well.

Also, I'm also with the OP.  I spent a lot of time and effort in the game getting my armor together.  Including color choices and overall style as well as stats.  This also isn't cheap, and if they refuse to give us recolor options, then let us do that.   Some of those armor sets look even better than what modders can offer with the clothes in some cases.  Not knocking on the modders, far from it.   They've done some amazing work, some of which I use.  Sometimes though, I prefer the look of the in-game armor for characters like my rogue and my warrior.

I want the choice to wear that at Skyhold and toggle it off for moments like the romance conversations.  I don't ask for toggles usually, because I know that most of the time it's easier said than done.  This isn't one of those times, since I literally know it's as easy as flipping OFF to ON.  I also wonder why it's so important to the design team that we are in stuck in that outfit no matter what.  I've seen the screenshots of the armor at Skyhold.  It looks like the armor itself was lit and shaded correctly for cutscenes, so no clue what the hold up is.

I don't get very cynical often about EA, or BioWare, or the game on the forums.   Most of the time, I try to stick to the idea that life is too short for that.   Plus, I think others in the BSN have the bitterness covered.   ;)

However, I would be pretty damned annoyed if an option that should have been there from the start costs money.   This should not require a pay DLC, due to the fact that almost everyone that I've talked to on the forums, on nexus and IRL hates the color of that outfit.  I'm not trying to be demanding, but they should give us an armor toggle for Skyhold without charging for it.

My husband calls it the Skyhold Onesie.  Or the Skyhold Footie PJs.

If they get ride of the PJ...doesnt that mean it will change for all Platform ?? So those who modded their PJ to a darker one on PC lose it ? And Those who actually like the PJ lose it too no ?

Personally, I hope they just give us a toggle, and keep the PJs in, hopefully with some recolors.  :)

I honestly don't understand why is this so hard to implement. An option to just wear armor is enough.

Maybe they will implement it (or some other solution) along with the Black Emporium DLC/patch. At least I hope so.

Totally agree with this

If you're going to have the player wear something compulsory at least make it look good. I get the impression they went for the bland look because they didn't want going for an obvious style to conflict with player tastes. In doing so they've just made the player run around in something thats... Bland - Which makes me think, why bother at all? Just leave us in our armor. Something I had a say in putting together and like the look of!

That would be the easiest and faster solution. But I would not turn down the chance to wear something different either.
