I don't care what any of you fanboys have to say, your opinions and preference are obsolete when it comes to this.
This is the beginning of the game and Bioware is supposed to be teaching people how to play the game and not tuning a game into frigging school work. That means they are supposed to tell the player that theyre supposed to click something on the map if that's what has to be done.
That's how it works. This whole BS of people saying figure it out, is completely out of line and totally idiotic.
Bioware is 100% responsible for me not knowing how to use the war table. They posted a tooltip saying do the operation and gave all of these useless tooltips that contained completely pointless information that does nothing, but yet cannot provide players with a useful tooltip with information about how to do what you're being asked....That's complete BS.
People never seem to think there is anything wrong, and have the balls to blame players for not knowing what was never explained.
Observation is not a valid excuse to not include instructions. When it comes to game play basics such ad this situation, If I'm supposed to click on something or know something is even interactive, then I better be told in a tooltip to do so.
I don't play this look anything up and figure it out crap because games are not school work, so people need to quit treating them as such.

No, your empty head is responsible for this.
What's worse is how people always never seem to think there is anything wrong, and have the balls to blame players for not knowing what was never explained.
If you try to fry an egg without realizing you have to crack it open you're the only one to blame, don't try to blame the chicken for not providing instructions.

I would love to watch the OP do a playthrough of Baldur's Gate.
Or Dark Souls ![]()

Games are meant for playing, and do not include outside research as part of what you pay for.
Want to do research and think that, then go to school. Otherwise the point to a game is to play it, not figure out how to play it, and requiring countless hours of brain numbing research, because the developers are too lazy and want you to do thirty job.

Why don'all you clowns just get lost already. Games are not school work and figure it out and looking things up do not apply and is nothing but an opinion.

But no one had to do any brain numbing research to play this. Well, no one but you.
Why?.....

Look you made a thread basically complaining about how you have to sort of almost kind of figure out how to do a couple of VERY minor things. Things that in the end are basically self explanatory and impossibly easy to wrap your head around.
Did you seriously expect a serious discussion when you made that OP?

I am posting this as a rant, and not for people's two bit opinion about what they think of me or if they think this is a troll topic or whatever. If others are not having problems good for them, I however am so people can keep thier two-bit option of/about me and their option about how they had/have no problems out of this topic.
Now on with the issues and problems I have with campaign:
1. The war table has no instructions. Says perform the scout the hinterlands operation, and then never goes over how the hell you're supposed to do it.
2. Two Haven quests, The right armor, & Requisition for weapons, both tell you talk to an NPC to do them, while not spawning the NPC'S you have to talk to in order to turn these two quests.
3. There is a craft and upgrade armor table, and an equip and upgrade potion table, but No craft potion table.
4. The equip potion table says to click an empty slot to put potion in it, but clicking an empty slot does nothing, and what happens when there are No empty slots, you wouldn't be able to put a different potion, due to there No longer being an empty slots to click as it says to do.
5. There is No way to assign ability/stat points that I know of. I am Level 3 and I have never seen any screen that allows point distribution that I have found. So I guess I have 3 stat points.
Nope. They took stat points out of the game. Apparently it's "too hard to learn". Despite the fact I understood the concept at age 6.

To the OP: I am a casual player of the DA franchise. I have played all three of the DA games. The developers of the games should not have to hold an individual's hand and take them step by step and click by click through a game. If you are that unsure about how to play the game, buy the book. But as someone else in the thread said, just click on something. Once you get the Scout the Hinterlands in the war table, click on it, then go to your map (via your journal if necessary) and get to the Hinterlands.
It is just not that difficult! (and I am an over 40 gamer!)

We use common sense and our brains, it's not rocket science.
It's not up to Bioware to hold your hand and explain every tiny little action to you, they do assume that people who are old enough to play their games are old enough to think for themselves and work things out. Good grief they have dumbed the game down enough already, if they make it any simpler a five year old could play, they take you through assigning skills etc as you level up during the prologue. As for the War Table, it couldn't be simpler all you need to do is highlight the mission then click on it, people have tried to help you and explain it to you but you are just being obtuse and rude in return.
Perhaps you should take the game back to the shop and trade it in for something more your speed because it seems Dragon Age is a bit too complicated for you.
