I really hope Bioware take this game as an opportunity to make something new and equally good in every department of the game, This includes the music.
I hope the same Galaxy Map music returns in the next Mass Effect

http://solarsystemscope.com/ has a mystical and relaxing soundtrack. But the old Galaxy Map track would be fine to me as well...

I love that solar system application Mister J! Music is great too.
Uncharted Worlds is an amazing composition, I have it playing any time i watch a space launch.
I hope Uncharted Worlds and Vigil return for the new Mass Effect. As for the new themes I prefer they take inspiration from the ambient vibes of Mass Effect (such as Liara's World, Illusive Man) compared to the military reminiscent tunes, though these will be necessary for combat sequences.

I think a soundtrack like this won't fit into the Galaxy Map. It has to be something slower and more monotonous than the one on the site.

Of course it should happen. Its an essential part of Mass Effect IMO.
A fresh take on it though? Sure. But still the same tune.

I want an easter egg planet where we land (If we could land) and see only a big lake with a tower-like formation in it, at night and with the Calenhad Docks theme playing, and only a little research outpost there, where the scientists are voiced by the same people who played Jowan, Wynne, Knight Greagoir and Enchanter Irving :3
