This needs to be solved by the Inquisitor. I don't care if its in a expansion or dlc or different game. It just needs to be the Inquisitor.
Should Bioware resolve the Solas storyline with a DA:I DLC?

Solas is a god. He has been present from the beginning and it is unlikely a DLC or even a new game will 'Resolve' him.
He will be around

What? he was counted among the elven gods but that doesn't mean he actually is a god. He doesn't think elven gods were gods in the true sense of the world and since he is one that is more than likely true. We don't know for sure exactly what he is but there is nothing suggesting he was always around.

Please give me DA4 WITH the Inquisitor to conclude Solas' plot... or, if you HAVE to give me a new protagonist, at least let me play as the Inquisitor for part of the game too. Gotta keep that heart-wrenching connection going on.

I dunno, I'll leave it up to the developer's to decide, they know better than I do how to resolve it. I'm just kinda crossing my fingers that my Lavellan can choose to join him.

By the end of the main story, the largest organization in Thedas is investigating Solas' disappearance. It's not their main focus, but Leliana seemed especially irked that she didn't catch anything sooner; she'll want to tie up that loose end. Even with all of Solas' power and skill at deception, the inquisition will certainly uncover small bits of information.
However, I don't think Solas' story will be anywhere near "resolved" within DLC. At most, we'll be getting the first stirrings of what he's trying to achieve.
As much as that will kill me with impatience for the next game, ultimately it should be a fun ride.

I think the romantic part should have some more closure so some dlc there would be nice.

Solas ah Solas....he always reminded me of Maynard James Keenan (google that name and you will say WTF RL SOLAS!) but I digress....there must be a DLC or the next installment must involve the Inquisitor. No two ways about it. I much prefer the former in regards possible relationships being squared away with Solas as he explicitly states that he will explain his reasoning for dumping you. Not that it mattered to me as I felt he was a tad clingy. Not Blackwall clingy mind you (that guy has issues) but clingy nonetheless.
I do not mind Solas taking over Flemeth's role in future games. I will miss Flemeth, as well as Morrigan (more like I'll miss Claudia Black) but the current story arc needs to end. I would much rather it end in a set of DLC's as opposed to waiting 3-4 years. I would like to move to the north, personally. And for the love of Maker please no more Varric complaining about red lyrium.
If Sandal isn't in the next game, as well as a proper return to the Deep Roads, I'm gonna be quite miffed....

I would believe if there were a Solas DLC, It would be like Witch Hunt. Dropping clues behind Solas' motivations, but doesn't fully answer what he's really after.

I want to see Solas tear s#%* up so I don't think it'll be done justice with DLC or probably even an expansion. Maybe Lavellan can find him again briefly in a DLC but ultimately I'd love to see Solas in Tevinter working on a master plan in DA4. He's the Dread Wolf, he's got to do something EPIC.

I'd rather BW took their time with Solas. I may be wrong, but it seems like he's a segue in to a larger story, later on, so I'm not sure if a "resolution" would fit into a DLC. Not that he couldn't make an appearance, of course.
On the topic of DLC, I'd much rather see a specific quest, driven by the Inquisitor's background & some of the choices he/she made. Wouldn't need to take place after defeating Cory either.

Nope. Inevitably the final chapter of Dragon Age will be all about the gods... Inquisition was sort of a prelude to that and the next game which has Patrick Weekes as Lead which is extremely fitting will likely feature Solas as an antagonist and it will be about the elven gods probably.

I'd like a degree of closure for Lavellan, but the larger question depends on where Solas's story is going. Without knowing that, I don't see how one can judge whether it's new game or DLC material.

Yeah, sure, a wolf hunt dlc seems logical.

I suspect it will be something like Witch hunt: While continue the character story, it still open up more questions and will connect to next game.

Not DLC, but an EXPANSION PACK
If it is an EXPANSION PACK, then yes, it would be a good idea. But some piddly little DLC that maybe lasts 5 hours if we're lucky? No thanks.
