What if the "Dragon Age" comes to an end and for games 4-6 its about the next age? Example: Wolf Age, named after people find out the Dread Wolf has returned.
The last "Dragon Age" game?

Fine by me, it's still the continuing saga. Seems we have had long enough to be the Dragon Age and, killed enough of them for that to be near and end but, that's up to Bioware.

That's the Beauty of the series... Though, marketing may be a little peeved if they change the name.

There's still just under 60 years left in the age, so unless there are some huge time jumps, I think we'll be in the Dragon Age for a while - just the way I'd prefer it.

Well the dragon age is not just the time period, it's the iconic name of the series. I doubt it'd be a nice change if they change it. Confusion all around for newcomers and Dragon Age IS a cool name.

At the rate time is progressing in the overall series I don't think we really need to worry about name changes until Dragon Age 20 or so.

If they do have a new age, it better have a good name that's a lot better than any of the ones I'm about to suggest. the Dread(ed) Age. Magic Age, Lost Age, The Pride Age (Get it? because Solas means Pride...
) Or Elven Mumbo-Jumbo Age. (I couldn't think of an elven word that would fit.)

Someday they may do a spinoff or a sequel but there is still a lot of room for story development and the brand is powerful. I'd imagine that story would be set far in the future or past to allow for more creativity.

I think they could carry on the name and no one would care. or maybe they would. Bioware has strange fans lol.
No different I suppose then the next Mass Effect game. Won't have a thing to do with the last 3 or Shepard but I bet the term Mass Effect would be in the title. Like Dragon Age, it represents the series and not entirely the actual time line.

Mass Effect is named after the effect element zero has on mass. Dragon Age is named after the age it takes place in. It's a bit different. When the age ends calling the series Dragon Age will be a bit odd, but I'm guessing the bulk of players don't know that it's called Dragon Age because it takes place in the Dragon Age. So it won't matter to most people, and I imagine they'll do keep it just for the brand recognition. But it's got sixty years left, and I'm guessing BW will be avoiding big time skips like they had in DA2 simply because you'll have characters dying of old age if they kept up ten year time skips. Characters like Leliana and Cass are already in their late 30s.
Leliana was born just after the Ferelden rebelion, in Orlais (why she considers herself ferelden I'll never know). So that puts her being born probably around Dragon: 3 or 4. So she'd be 27/26 in DAO, and 36/37 in DAI. Cass is 18 during the events of that anime of hers. And I believe she's around 18, it takes place 8 years before the events of DAO. Which would make her 26 in DAO and 36 in DAI. Wait, DAI takes place in Dragon: 41. So, 37/38 for Leliana and 36/37 for Cass. Depending on when they were born. I explain this because people tend to ask for explanation when I say the age of a character.
Honestly I'd like to have ages of characters confirmed. Most can only be inferred, very few have confirmed ages.

Not all the games in The Legend of Zelda series actually feature Zelda.
We all know that Wand of Gamelon is the best Zelda game ever. You have both Zelda and King Harinkan, what more could you ask for?

We still havent killed all the dragons, so.... dragon age it is!
Wouldn't that make the next age... Dragon Age II?

I would love that. I am actually kinda done with dragons. Every video game is like, dragons this, and dragons that. Dragons are awesome, but they are done to death.

...I don't know....personally Dragon age is the only game where I kinda feel bad about killing all those mother dragons:)
....but the loot!
And I doubt they will change the name even if some future game isn't taking place in this age. The name is more about the universe. At least for me. It was the same with Baldur's gate...for me it said more that it was about forgotten realms and not that we will be visiting the city of baldur's gate....

To me, I don't mind the title staying "Dragon Age" or if they call it "X Age - the Dragon Age Series" - doesn't matter to me. I'd just like to see a different time period come around.

I doubt they would change the title, losing brand awareness is not worth nickpicking such things. As others have said, Baldur's Gate 2 had absolutely nothing to do with the city of Baldur's Gate and not many people complained.

That depends. DA2 alone took a decade out of what's left, and subsequent titles can also have significant gaps in the timeline rather than having one go right into the next.

Each age runs for 100 years...we still got about 58 years of the Dragon Age left. But if the game series can sustain itself, maybe we might see it seep into the next period with...I dunno, DA 7 or something.

It won't. This series is known by this name & would lose all of its popularity & renown if it changed.
no it wont, just because the age changes dose not mean it's set in a diffrent univrse it would still be the same game just in a diffrent time like the saints row games, they are set in the same univrse but are set in a diffrent time

The Age of Red Jenny - Named due to the collapse of the noble system in Orlais in Dragon Age 9:98 thanks to The Friends of Red Jenny. Yep, Sera took Solas' guerilla advice.
