"There comes a time in every project when you must shoot the engineer and begin production."

I am ecstatic that there was an engineer shot in Edmonton before Christmas 2014.

I am thoroughly enjoying DAI despite its flaws (which seem to be deminishing with every patch), and am thankful that DAI did not get delayed until 2015 or 2016.

They shot all the Q&A testers, that's would explain all the bugs on release and why they need the community to be their new testers.

Wait,,, Does that mean they shot all the community beta testers too? Because bugs were released with the patch even after the community beta testing.

There is a misunderstanding.

Q&A simply report their findings and have no power to enforce bug fixing.

I think the real question is, who shot the quest designer?

After finishing the Wicked hearts and wicked eyes quest I have it on good authority that the rumours of quest designer's death were greatly exaggerated. I mean it's not New Vegas but it's still pretty damn amazing.

This game needed the extra development time. Too many aspects of it feel unfinished, and an ungodly amount of interesting planned features were cut.

DAI had an extra year of development time, and its release was delayed twice.

Given that DAI has won hundreds of game of the year awards, EA/Bioware made the right decision in releasing the game before Xmas, and avoiding releasing DAI simultaneously with Witcher 3.

How much longer do you think the game should have been delayed???  2016???  Forever???  Until it became "perfect"???

This game is massive. For a game on the scale of DAI, the standard development period was not enough.

Bigger game should mean more development time. When it doesn't, the size of the game leads to dilution of content.

Three years of development is not enough???

If the game took any longer to release, Bioware would have been accused of lollygagging.

Many were already upset that the game was delayed a year.

Three years was enough time to wait to shoot the engineer and get on with production (game release).

You're right. There is a misunderstanding. They weren't all shot. Some were poisoned! :o
