List what's terrible about DA:I

Also I must say that SWTOR is actually better single player game than DA:I even though it is a MMO. That makes me pretty sad.

Your opinion about the game maybe different to others. That does not make them rude when they express their dislike of the game.

Replaying this game a second time after having playing more than 120 hours on the first file shouldn't feel like a chore and boring. I guess this means I won't be replaying the game in a while, unless DLCs start making the game interesting again.

After finishing my 2nd playthrough, I just want to vent.
The games problems:
- Fetch quests. Too many pointless ones that Bioware added just so they could brag about how long the game is.
- Schematics being random. Big fat FU and makes replaying a b*tch.
- Attributes boost being stuck with talents/weapons.
- 8 talent limit sucks.
- Mage needs more talent trees. It's all elemental magic.
- Skinny male elves have terrible arms.
- Need better hair for CC.
- Race feels irrelevant.
- Some companions won't get lost. What's the point of disapproval if it has no consequence?
- Last mission sucks. No consequences or big epic moment.
- Companions should turn on you if you get too much disapproval like DAO and DA2. Don't know why they all stick around when they hate you.
- Cory sucks as a main villain. Should have gone with Solas.
- The main story is too short.
- Orlais Civil war should have been explored more and not end with just one mission. Briala, Celene and Gaspard aren't fleshed out in this game compare to the book.
- The Mage/Templar war ends too suddenly.
- Tac cam sucks.
- Why does my rogue glow when I use attacks? Can they try to not turn this into a skittle fest.
- Nobody important except Blackwall can die, the game has no consequences.

It is exceedingly irritating to have the game crash repeatedly three quarters of the way through a dragon fight. The upside is that the crashes are discrete from the rest of my system. The game simply quits, leaving me at my peaceful desktop, while I'm not so peaceful in my chair.

I tried getting into it again with my second playthrough but just couldn't continue. This game is such a disappointment. Even ME3 had me coming back a second and third time despite the ending and the auto-dialogue.
Bioware is going down the drain.
Friend, you forgot your English language here. You see you accidently used the present tense, allow me to help you.
Bioware has gone down the drain.
You see, there you go. Isn't that better?
It was going down the drain with ME3, now is it has alreeady gone, as in proved beyond any doubt. Much better.

Hair and JUMPING hate the jumping ![]()

PC control/interface. Not fun.
Inventory screen is confusing.
Also hate the jumping.
I didn't like the healing system. I much preferred the old way of having mages able to case healing spells.
The guard/barrier system felt tacked-on and unecessary.
8-slot skill limitation was irksome.

- Fetch quest. Way too many. And are designed to waste time.
- The hair, and generally, the face. But the plastic hair is just terrible. I mean, if they must, go and rip off a Syrim mod called ApachiiSkyHair. But for gods sake, do something.
- Jumping. More Jumpng. And the invisible walls that require you to.. jump some more.
- Race locks outs; level lockouts; and the whole Power system. Forcing you to run fetch quests. Or cheat (which sadly, I've done just so not to have to run the fetch quests again).
- Lame romantic scenes. Look, I'm not expecting a Hollywood love story or porn or anything. But something better then a cheap latin soap opera would've been nice. Terrible writing.
- The 8 slot bar. I mean, why? Why? And adding to that, a VERY limited tactical syste,. Frankly it's not even very tatical.
- Cory. I'd had harder fights fending off bandits in Skyrim. I mean, com'om! This guy is suppose to be a demi-god. And a level 16 on hard level can take him down with ease.
- No healing. This potion system takes the fun out of healing.
- The combat sucks. Boring and the same button mashing over and over. Playing a warrior is a bit better becuase you have to position yourself. But a mage is freaking BORING.
Those are my main highlights. I have a bunch of little things that bother me too. But i can over look those.
All in all DAI does not have replay value. Save yourself the time; if you want to see different love scenes go to Youtube. Maybe more DLC's will change this . But right now, it's going off my harddrive.
As a side note, despite ME3's ending, I STILL have ME1, 2 & 3 on my drive. And I still have DAA1 and DA2. Those have replay value. Oh ans Skyrim too, of course. With the mods, Skyrim will always have replay value.

Your prejudice and flaming is obvious. Whether you personally can create a game is not the issue. The issue is about having shelled out a load of bucks are you happy with what you paid for!!
Personally as a DA and Bioware fan of long standing I have always had the greatest admiration for their products UNTIL NOW. I loved playing Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Gate Shadows of Amn and Throne of Bhaal, Neverwinter NIghts, and the expansions to that, Dragon Age Origins, DA2, and MassEffect 1, 2 and 3 (apart from the ending). By comparison this game sucks and the OP summarises all the key let downs as far as I am concerned

I only got thru the game the first time because I kept thinking - It has to get better, this is Bioware after all.
It didn't.
I don't know if it's their doing or their publishers but they've succeeded at taking what started out as a GREAT game and franchise in Origins and totally ignoring everything that made it great to produce a totally lack-luster game with excellent graphics.

I would have done similar like in DA:O Morrigan and Alistair are great. DA:I romances was just joke. Literary Iron bull romance was just one giant joke.

You can blame EA as much as you want, but game was made by Bioware made a lot of bad design decisions witch have nothing to do with EA. And I doubt EA write the script. Bioware just don't know what they want to do with DA. ME story just got worse each game but at least gameplay only improved, they made shooter and stick with it. DA everything just get worse and worse.

Actually, I doubt it was that long. They have to write them get them checked over, then approved, translated, ect. If something goes wrong they also have to backtrack and rewrite.

I'll keep it simple, and stick to the classics.
- No passive out of combat health regen - yeah, yeah many people love it, I don't, so there!
- Only eight slots on the action bar - this is teH suXX0rZ!!111 I simply cannot understand how any developer thought it might be fun to have us learn all these spells and abilities, but not be able to use them... unless it truly was down to it being a console port, and they couldn't be bothered to make a proper PC interface.
- No proper tactics screen - Oh.. how I yearn for even something as simple as "Self being attacked by a melee attack / activate stealth"
- I cannot rename my saves.
- Mods are a sod to install.
- Iron Bull's beard is untidy
- The 'plant seeds' function in Skyhold's garden just doesn't seem to make much sense, or at least it doesn't function as I expected it to.

Ok, here we go:
- The 8 ability slot limitation. One of the most horrible game design decisions I have ever seen.
- The skill trees aren't bad on their own, but together with the 8 ability slot limitation they are bad, because you have to take abilities you will never use, since there is not enough room on the hotbar ... great, just great.
- The hair. Hair, beards, eyebrows, all of it is pretty bad.
- Why can't I hide the helmets of characters on an individual basis? I want to see Vivienne's "helmet" because it looks great and it seems her face was designed to fit that helmet. But I don't want to see my male Inquisitor's "mask of the grand duchess".
- The 8 ability slot limitation.
- The RNG loot system. This isn't supposed to be an MMO. It's especially annoying in regards to merchants and the short list perk. If you don't use safe/reload/restart schenanigans, your chances of getting superior armor schematics are pretty slim, despite having spent a perk for it.
- Why are some of the best looking weapons in the game not available as schematics? Refined Greatsword, Inquisition Shield and Inquisition Longsword ... there really should be T3/T4 schematics for these weapons.
- The lack of a tactic to tell companions to keep their distance from enemies. A simple switch option melee/ranged. If switched to ranged, characters will always try to keep a certain minimum distance from enemies. This is really missing and greatly irritating.
- The male elf bodies. Solas's body type would be perfect for male elves.
- The over the top abilities for warriors and rogues in regards to animations (leaping shot, earthshaking strike, mighty blow). The animations are a bit silly IMO. One of the best animations is "block and slash" from the two-handed skill tree. Simple, but good looking, doesn't remind me of an anime (not that I'm against anime style, but it doesn't have a place in the Dragon Age setting).
- Companions disappearing when you mount up (so no banter) and the mount being painfully slow
- Pointless MMO-style fetch quests
- Did I mention the 8 ability slot limitation?
Don't get me wrong, I love this game, but at least the 8 ability limitation and the hair really need to be fixed.
