the game is a crashing mess, not settings will correct the game. I relies on (too much) on mantle to operate. The online gaming is dreadful, falls off and crashes as well. I got close to a super computer gamer rig that's way past the recommended system, short of being a "" mantle"" contraption, but am really disappointed in this game...glad I got it on sale, but... now with the game becoming more crashed than not.. its not "all that" in the way of not terrible.  The thing shut off on me 5 times just this morning trying to upgrade armor on/in the camp shop. That add on with all the supposed neat stuff is not really all that neat of stuff either. It's all becoming make work for 70 bucks.

Where did mass effect go, O wait, this is ME in the "olden" days of your bank account...lol

I'm a bit surprised BioWare hasn't done the same thing, but hey, this is the official section to complain anyways. It's not like they're going to listen to every rants however. Specially when some of those rants are very rude.

There are different moderation styles certainly and I'm not particularly favouring one over the other.

BioWare seem fairly content to leave a feedback thread as a way to 'contain' grumbling, which the PC concerns thread has successfully done over 700 pages.

CDPR, by contrast, have shown they are much less tolerant to threads that are essentially 'I don't like x' that lack any constructive content.

I'm personally much more supportive of feedback threads that take issue with specific things in a constructive way

that a general whineathon...

To be clear, the PC Concerns thread is rarely visited by the Devs, though they mentioned looking at it. And there is very little constructive crit there; many simply venting about conspiracies, lies, propaganda, etc. Not to say there are not concerns, but seemingly these were made earlier in the thread. IMO, of course.

  • My elf mage inquisitor who believes in elven gods said that he thought Andraste pulled him out of the cave. WTF! No he didn't! I assume you're basing this off his non-committal replies to people (mainly that Chantry lady) where he says it might have been her, because he respects her and he's surrounded by desperate believers, no because he believes. At leaves leave that line as a conversation option so I can pick something different! The game assumes way too much about my character from his replies.

This is why DA needs to stop it with major character cameos.  All they can do with them is regurgitate the same old story with them.  It was the same with Leliana, you're back playing her babysitter, either teaching her to how to be good or convincing her to be bad.

Not to mention Loghain it seems that he is in DAI just to be sacrificed again, poor man, from one monster to another.

I Think this is due to the storyline originally only being written for a human MC and the other races were just added in after hence there is no difference in storyline and events no matter what race you are.

Cannot speak for the Elven choices, but Dwarven dialogue was full of options. Then there is always room for folks to misunderstand something said, just like in RL.

So you had different main quest dialogue to choose from?

Nit picking here:

According to rumors there's a toggle that allows you to wear your armor or w/e in Skyhold, but BioWare apparently hid it or something.

If true, that's a problem.

It's fine if the other characters misunderstand, but my own Inquisitor said this after the Adamant thing.

And he acted so surprised about how he got the mark, when he'd known about it ever since Cory told him back in Haven. Sigh.

it seems that no one has pointed out the lack of finishing moves/messy kills in DAI they were awesome in DAO each based on the type of weapons, they are important for melee combat.

I enjoyed that as well. I was hoping they'd bring that back too. Hopefully will return for DA4.

I had a thread for it a while back, the tumblr crowd doesn't feel gore adds anything to it and they were very outspoken. Personally I miss the finishers and also happily chatting with my party while dripping with blood. Those were dragon age moments.

Sadly, like tactics, another dragon age unique system, it all got thrown out.

Am somewhat puzzled over what a glitch in the writing sequence has to do with racial diversity in dialogue, but it's not that important.

  • No Blood Mages
  • No Shapeshifters (seriously! why bioware?)
  • No Healers
  • Bad hair options
  • I have to spend ages in the character creation trying to get my Inquisitor to look decent
  • Very few unique looking armors (seriously downgraded compared to the armor sets in Origins and Awakening)
  • The lighting in the CC is yet again deceptive
  • Eyelashes not matching hair color
  • Bad PC controls
  • No click-and-run
  • No origin stories
  • Major story driven choices are mostly just: pick option A or B
  • No "finishes" when killing something (those were awesome, especially on orges and dragons)
