I don't think I've commented on what I find terrible about DAI yet.

Hmm, let's see.

- Short and rushed main story with pathetic ending and pathetic villain.

Yes, this bugged me as well - I found that the DA:2 version of the Cory battle was much harder and more interesting.

Also I don't understand the ending - is he burned up? or has my Inky just sent him to the ONE PLACE he wanted to go most?

(And if it's a case of him burning up, why? He was linked to the anchor by the orb, so surely it wouldn't immolate him unless the power is controlled by the Inquisitors emotions and directions - which is not really shown.... if this is the case, it could have easily been fixed with a quick conversation in the Fade; something along the lines of::

Companion - We're in the Fade, how is that possible? We should all be dead, what did you do?

Inquisitor - I don't know.... we were falling, I opened the Rift and just ... all I could think was, please - don't let us die.)

I tried to move the tactical camera through edge panning and a hand reached out of my monitor and slapped me in the face.

Legitimate annoyances with the game (None that I'd consider to be too terrible but they're things I personally disliked.)
-Where'd the desire demons go? I'd have liked to see them in the new engine.
-The lack of children in the game is odd, especially considering there is already a model for them.
-The lighting in the cc screen is wonky.
-I didn't like the way Hawke was handled or written. It felt like no matter which personality you put into the keep you got a harsh and serious Hawke instead.
-Multiplayer was unecessary and took resources away from the rest of the game.
-Too much MMO/Skyrim "inspiration". If I wanted mindless fetch games I'd play those more. I want a story driven Bioware game, not freakin' WOW.
-For a brand new engine that was superiour to the old I certainly didn't see much variation on body type in NPCs or ambient characters.
-No console commands for PC was a tiny bit annoying.
-I would have liked some more ties between side quests and the main quest, more motivation.
-I missed the more intimate camera angles for conversation of previous titles.
-I don't like how mounts cancel out interaction and party banter. I want to use my battle nug but I wanna bond with my companions too!

That's really all I can think of right now. All minor annoyances to a game I thought was pretty great (not perfect but great).

There you go feel the powa of the dark side ;) seriously though thanks this feedback may be harsh but it helps the gaming industry in the long run. Imagine a future where the only games there are is crappy p2win phone games like clash of clans? Cause that's the way the industry is swinging right now if we let it.

Women's Hairstyles Long Ponytail would've been good. Shiny crap needs to go and Black would be a nice choice like Cassandra's look not bluegray mess.

Romance options suck badly

Cullen recovering drug addict

Iron Bull drunk

Blackwall criminal

Solas afraid of commitment

Leliana nun

Josephine politician

Cassandra religious fanatic

Sera immature

Dorian gay

Would rather romance Alexius Gregor or Servis at least they had their reasons for doing what they did and seemed well rounded as  characters.

Bioware employees should be forced to actually play Skyrim or at least read the massive prima guide book to characters, leveling enemies and technical skills involved in that game. I play Skyrim on xbox360 and pc. I am trying to do a second play through on Inquisition but I don't know if it's even possible for me to be so restricted after playing Skyrim through so many times and it's still not boring me to death like Inquisition did. 200hr play or 3000 hrs plus play you get the idea.

Absolutely disagree Bioware must forget skyrim exist. Skyrim is big sandbox game, DA is not.

Think like this you order food and it was delicious.

You order the same and you get something different but still liked it.

You order same again and get burned mess.

Would you praise chef?

So being a fan means being blind to every and any flaw the game has?

Being a fan doesn't mean you have to blindly love something to the death. Being a fan, among other things, also means you care. You care about the franchise you are a fan of. And you would like to see it continue and be worthwhile of your support.

Right now this franchise stands on a verge. The next game, if done well, can save it. If done poorly again, it can ruin it for good for many people that have supported BW for all those years. And that is where criticism and feedback comes in.

I can agree with you only on the sandbox part but do not under any circumstances advertise open world game when it is nowhere near that, if I go somewhere I am not supposed to be and get my arse kicked in Skyrim then I can figure that out on my own I don't need a babysitter telling me you can't go here, you can't go there ect that is what it felt like to me. I'd like to have a massive game that would crash Thedas and Mundas together where you can have a Dragonborn meet an Inquisitor say the mages don't want to be locked up send them to Skyrim to rebuild winterhold have the Dragonborn agree to get rid of the dragons in thedas. Then figure out the that the whole thing was caused by some sort of experiment in Minrathos or something. I think both companies have done a lot of work but I am disappointed with Inquisition, I forgave them for DA2 repetitive areas but the story is starting to lack in meaning as well as gameplay now. We'd all like to see DAO writers work for Bethesda now I think it would be interesting if nothing else.

Besides what everyone has already said about the plot, for me the armor lacked inspiration and variation when you put them on your Inquisitor. They looked amazing and diverse on other characters but, playing a rouge both times, I literally could not tell the difference between one set of armor and another. And from what I can tell there's only really 4 different sets within each class.

Also the lack of color variation in the CC for things like makeup and tattoos. I feel a bit fooled by the color spectrum format they chose to go with when the color you pick isn't actually the color that shows up on the character.

And a personal grievance of mine--if Alistair is both your wardens LI and a Warden himself you get a good bit of dialogue of him talking about her. He talks about how he misses her and how they are happy together and it's great. If you make Alistair King? Not one word about the Queen. You only get maybe one small line in the war table letter the Queen sends about 'keeping her king's lands safe'.

If I wasn't a fan of the FRANCHISE, and love it as much as I do - then I wouldn't 'waste' my time on these forums sharing my experience and giving feedback that (I hope) comes across as constructive. Yes there are many negative aspects addressed, but if 'fans' don't take the time to give this feedback then Bioware will think everything is wonderful, perfect, blah blah blah and continue on in the same vein - which may end up with these self same 'fans' jumping ship and Bioware having no clue why.

So... you can give your opinion but people who are not so pleased with the game can't? And alas, you actually don't think this game is perfect so why do you get annoyed at people who voice their disappointment in some of the very things you just mentioned on your second post? I'm genuinely confused now...

I never said they couldn't express their opinions. Everyone is entitled to that right. It doesn't mean I have to like what they have to say. I was asked what bothered me about DA:I and I stated it, nothing more.

No I would leave the establishment where I was served what I consider to be a burnt mess and never come back again. This is for example what I did with The Elder Scrolls franchise after playing Oblivion. So now Skyrim's fans don't have a dubios pleasure of reading why I hate their beloved game under the guise of "constructive criticism".

A response to all the people who say that a future of a possible DA 4 is decided on these forum pages. People, let's be real. DA 4 will be much more like Inquisition and much less like Origins. We all know that.

PS. I must apologise for using a no-no word in jest in my previous post. I didn't realize that it was forbidden to use profanity words to discuss a game which is up to the ears in profanity words...

Certainly won't be decided from these forums but there is also likely to be some consideration given to what is said on these forums so perhaps "slightly influenced" might be a better statement?

Yeah, we all have the feeling it will be like DAI - because of financial success and GOTYs. But that is even more the reason to offer feedback now and let them know in some way, that it in fact isn't as great as all those paid reviews claimed it was and it certainly isn't what we want. But the shitstorm after ME3 release made them do the Extended Cut, so there is still the fool's hope BW can see reason once more.

Don't apologize, I seriously doubt anyone here minds a swear word. The mods do however and that is why it was automatically censored :)

Extended cut was literary middle finger from Bioware. They added refuse ending. "Don't like our ending fine you lost everybody die" They not stupid, they understand exactly what they did wrong, but of course they not admit it. I am just surprised so many people accepted Bioware "fix" ending, when they fix nothing and even put more plothols. Simple attitude to customer "Ok you to stupid to understand our ending, we explain it to you" But Bioware not= Bioware. I prefer DA team at least they don't pretend lick our .... , David Gaider response sometimes "don't like it deal with it" It's not good for someone, who sell something but at least his honest.

And a swear word I don't understand I used for some I get warnings for mostly not. And you can break forum rules if it's from game or it's art.

That only works if you don't care about the franchise you're abandoning. For fans, though, it's more productive to give feedback so future installments can be improved.

Boring filler side quests

No dialogue for side quests

No choices for side quests

Harvesting roots and ore

Not many choices

Dull PC with no real backstory

Too much focus on creating an inoffensive PC

No friend/rivalry system

Racial options don't matter

No consequences for choices.

War table missions are pick ABC

Resources don't matter

Being a leader doesn't matter

Maps are too big and pointless

The DAI world is lackluster overall

No tactics and too much babysitting companions

8 slots for skills

The rude people who will find anything to ****** about in a great game as though they could make anything even half as good.

I can't build cars, radios, televisions or make movies or games but if there's something not functioning as it is supposed to do, i will tell the one that built or made them and i think it's my right ot do that. And then again, who are you to tell me that's rude or even i'm rude doing so? Please go check yourself. :P

Things for me that made me quit DAI:

- Reading about the crap ending after all the quests i already did 150+ hours into the game.
- Getting more and more frustrated about the tactical cam.
- No tactics or something similar that you can even say has something to do with tactics in the game.

- Party member, AI and environment collision (Camera behaviour in caves is a stunning example. How bad is that?)
- Enemy and friendly AI that show totally akward behaviour. (Hold position doesn't work, party and AI running into AoE, archers and mages running into melee)
- Giants flying into the air losing HP.
- Fighting from scaffolds or any other high ground is ridiculous when not even impossible.
- Party members as well as enemy AI falling through bridges and scaffolds and 'flying' back through them (not using stairs, ladders or walking around them) in case of battle is being fought on two floors or more at the same time.
- Feeling ripped off because of buying the Digital Deluxe Edition that frankly said comes with nothing extra that's in any way usuable or gives you any advantage in the game.

-_-

I didn't care about the 4th ending (and honestly felt it is just as bad as the green magic - everything we worked for meaning nothing at all in the end). I liked the extra cutscenes and the slide-show epilogue. EC didn't create any extra plot holes I can think of, it actually managed to fix some of them. Also, it was something not many major companies would have done. It would be a middle finger, if they released it as a paid DLC, but for free? Infinitely better than doing nothing at all and pretending everything is fine like they are doing right now :)

I think i have a right to complain about DAI and Bioware having  dragonage_16.pngdragonage2_16.png below my username and being 'Member Since 03 Nov 2009' . I could also add masseffect3_16.png but that one never left its plastic seal cover after i read about the crap ending Bioware decided to build into ME3. ME and ME2 where great and i did not want to have them spoiled by the crap ending in ME3. (It seems ME3MP is great but i'm more of a SP)

Same goes for DAI. After reading about how the story will end (at that time i was still coping with the other crap in DAI) i decided to quit playing DAI. It's the complete picture; gameplay, storyline, character builds, story ending, that makes me want to play the game and enjoy it.

As said, being around since long, i do have the right to complain and don't tell me i'm a troller, spammer, anti-Bioware or whatever else. I even told some of my friends to buy DAI or buy the whole DA package and start from the beginning. Now i feel embarrassed i told them to buy this beta-DAI!

- MMO-type fetch quests

- no animated dialogues

- no cities (only a marketplace...)

- all the work you put in your inquisition or in the side quests don't pay off in any way

- rushed and unpolished ending

- no twists and turns in the story. no real drama or pressure.

- sloppy cutscenes and dialogues

- character developement is way too simple

- very short main campaign

- the villain is pathetic

- can not really connect to the pc emotinally (maybe because he has no real background or family or anything, just washed up on the shore)

- hairstyles are ridiculous

- terribly boring romances with unattractive partners
