Hairstyles are an abomination.

Highly questionably choice of lighting in the character creator. Or rather, it's highly questionable why they put the CC in the Fade.

Really bad clipping issues. If you cannot animate the characters around their accessories (on the armor, mostly), or even shields or weapons, it's probably better not to put those accessories, shields and weapons in the game. Any coat clips with almost everything.

The game series has afwul fans.

yep blind fanboys are indeed bad fans since Bioware would think they did it all right

even though DA:I is lacking in sooo many areas (story, side missions, gameplay etc.)

-Lack of robust party AI tactics

-Lack of talent/spell use via character wheel

-Audio often too low during out-of-cutscene NPC conversations/lack of zooming in during those conversations

-rng loot

Can't think of anything else.

They traded in the Arishok for Pillsbury dough boy with horns. :(

Disappointed with the way Qunari look they are to human.

Maybe add some grey coloring to CC and hair.

At this point much easier to say what was good in the game.

1. Dragons ''-majestic creatures'' indeed majestic.

2. Winter Palace.

3. Morrigan voice over.

I think this is it, everything else pretty much week, bad or awful. Some aspects have potential (creating armor\weapons) they just implemented it wrong. In truth they should apologize and offer total refund. Obviously it's not going to happen. The only way we can punish them is don't buy they dlc. This is the only way they will listen don’t give them your money.

I love this game, but some things stick out.

The menus, for instance. The game's menus on PC are the worst I've seen since Skyrim, but at least you could mod that (SkyUI made that game much better). The problems with the menus are the following:

- Everything is huge. You have to drag a skill tree around because it doesn't fit the screen. DA2 could fit all skill trees in a single screen. You'd still have to zoom in on the individual trees, but at least you didn't have to scroll through them.

- Wasted space. The scrollbar in this screenshot is not necessary, as demonstrated here.

- It takes too long to load 3D assets in the inventory menu, even on an SSD.

- Armor, weapons and accessories could be in one screen, not three. Instead of having to go back a menu and into a new one, they should be tabs instead, like in Origins.

DAI is about 1000 miles wide and about 20 feet deep.  Even out those two numbers to something a tad closer = win!

The hair is awful, especially for females.
No control of tactics. I enjoyed being able to set up my party to do things based on certain criteria.
Not being able to set up my attribute points the way I like.
The radial menu allowing me to use all of my spells/skills as need be. Having 8 quick slots is nice but I always found a way to incorporate my mages full arsenal.
No longer having potions and poisons fully available, again I like to have full access to stuff for whenever I might want to use it. I don't like this limiting of things.
No spirit healer. I know it really isn't needed in this game, but I'm going to miss my healer play through.
Fade-touched materials. The concept is great but if you want specific ones you have to spend too much time farming for them. Then when you get one you have to hope it is the one you want and not the other possibility since they all have 2 possibilities.
Armor is too similar looking, nothing truly unique. Except for Vivian, but we can't wear that look.
Skyhold never being fully repaired.
Skyhold's "upgrades" not really doing anything.

Don't get me wrong, I've been able to have fun with the game but it doesn't have the replayablity that 1 and 2 did for me. I might try for a rogue once I finish the restart of my mage, but right now it doesn't look like it.

Oh, and I miss the origin stories when starting the game.

I was under the impression that you could destroy the world as opposed to saving it. At least that was the impression of a few of the trailers. But that sucks that they'd advertise that and not have it available.

Also, the lack of various armours... All the armours you can craft and modify are basically the same thing. And I hate that humans have about 50 race specific armours and the rest of the races have about two, save for the qunari who have none.

Yes, that 2014 E3 trailer with Morrigan narration. Chalk it up as another Bioware lie or failure to communicate proper message.

Only needs DLC quest and the option to change weapons in combat. Bring back the Ogres, and gunlocks.

I was disappointed when I wasn't given the option to play as a bar steward .... I really wanted to step into the Fade and become God, or at least try to before all my companions dog-piled me and dragged me back for execution. XD

The terribly static world, everyone feels as though they exist just to give you quest or to be apart of the scenery. Complete a quest for someone and they will either stay in that same spot doing nothing or disappear for ever,

That house on fire in Hinterlands seems to have been burning forever, will it ever go out? The world of DAI just feels so amateurish, dry and lifeless, the thing has absolutely no soul to speak of, beside Crestwood, which is still a pretty 'meh' area to me.

This is quite possibly one of the most boring worlds to explore from a AAA developer, nothing changes, there are no random events, you do see ordinary people living

their lives or other adventures out exploring. Even my own Inquisition soldiers who are out there, the ones that I can actually see and interact with a lifeless and static.

They just stand next to a chest, which most likely contains garbage loot and they can't even move, can't even be bothered to help the Inquisitor, when they see him/her being chased by two giants.

The AI in this game is disgustingly horrible, it's like they put 0 effort into it, enemies are damage sponges, your companions are just brain-dead idiots who can't tell the difference from a 5ft drop or a damn cliff. They constantly walk onto glyphs, backflip off the cliffside or just cast barrier on one person, not to mention being unable to jump or a go around a simple 2ft wall.

The companions are just so DULL, we've got stupid childish girl who refuses to see reason or common sense, the "I'm cool with everyone and will bone anything that has a soft orifice for me to put my junk in" guy, the suave gay guy with daddy issues and hideous facial hair, the stalwart by the books dry humour with a dark past guy, the annoying political and cold lady, the bald wise and boring dude, the charming everyone loves me dwarf and whoever else I can't remember.

The combat is pretty tedious with boring skills powered by skittles, the limited quickbar, the dumb AI, the ugly as sin weapons and armours and the drab areas in which you fight.

Worst, most unintuitive Inventory System/UI ever made ? (PC version)

No option to play the entire game with a functional Bird's eye perspective.

No click to move.

lol. Every time my rogue uses Twin Fangs, I wince internally, because the sound-effect that accompanies it is like nails on a chalkboard and the purple neon streaks that explode behind my character bring me close to an epileptic fit.

Am I a stealthy rogue here or an Arcane Warrior? It's easy to forget.

I might go on and play devil's advocate here and say they retained the UI for people who wanted to play with a controller on their PCs. A good PC port, however, would have had an alternate UI, maybe size options for the various UI elements, and perhaps not being restricted to rotating through your party/inventory and having to wait for everything to load. Inquisition's UI is quite awful.

Probably yes and that is saying something. We had Skyrim and first Mass Effect. Who would have thought back then that we will see something equally as bad or even worse.

But, you know, it was after all made for PC gamers and the tac cam is just as we would expect from Origins. True story.

I totally support the points you all mentioned before me. But what really is bothering me about DA:I is the fact that many elements of the game just say: "Not made for fans". I played a lot of Bioware RPGs (all ME games, DA:O and DA:2, NWN, BG, Jade Empire, KOTOR) and liked them all, but DA:I was a disappointment.

It seems that's just "optimised " for adressing the largest amount of customers possible. This excruciating auto attack for example. It's annoying that you have to constantly hold the LMB and follow your target manually in a RPG. It's just a feature which forces more "active" elements in the game, although they don't do anything and can't be influenced by the player. When I have to attack manually, why not atleast bring in some features like controlling the blows direction and force? Or which RPG doesn't allow you to customize your character by spending your attribute points manually? It's really a shame that Bioware removed a lot of features completely which some players tend to find too complicated instead of thinking of their fans. Another good example is the tactic menu, which is a bad joke in Inquisition. I really don't understand why Bioware wouldn't implement an automatic option (like it's now) and manual option (like in DA:O oder DA:2). This game was made to be simple, you can see it in nearly every gameplay element of it. Even on nightmare most fights are a joke (playing a warrior or mage it's nearly impossible to die). You possibly can't do ANYTHING wrong in the dialogues if you don't want to, you really don't have to think a second about your dialogue choices. Even the dialogue choices for romances are marked and they even contain quests like "get me this and that and I'll sleep with you". And most of the game time is filled with boring running around and grind/search-quests plus those more than boring standard-dialogues, which are on the same level as the dialogue of MMO quest givers. It just doesn't feel very authentic.

Ironically, Bioware implemented an optional quick start and auto-spec feature in DA:O, now you areforced to use it. I really wonder how the long-established developers of Bioware see DA:I. I think they can't really say "that's a game our fans will love", it's more like "that's which hopefully everyone buys and can be completed sucessfully even if your blind and deaf".

It's downright insulting how much we were misled about this game.

It is even more insulting that people are still being misled - http://www.ea.com/uk...age-inquisition

See this for example:

"Change the World - Your actions and choices will shape a multitude of story outcomes along with the tangible, physical aspects of the world itself."

or

"Play Your Way - Completely control the appearance and abilities of your Inquisitor, party of followers, outposts, and strongholds. Decide the makeup of your Inquisition forces and your own style of combat."

or

"Discover the Dragon Age - Freely explore a diverse, visually stunning, and immersive living world."

This is just disgusting.

And most of the game time is filled with boring running around and grind/search-quests plus those more than boring standard-dialogues, which are on the same level as the dialogue of MMO quest givers.

I completely agree with your whole post, couldn't have said it better myself. I just want to point out that it is kinda funny (and sad), that even bloody SWTOR had more engaging side quests, which were better presented and better tied to the main story (which also managed to connect all the planets in a really enjoyable way) :D
