Exactly My favourite is the complete control over appearance and abilities of our outposts and strongholds Somehow that one didn't make its way into my game at all... Oh, I could change the banners and windows and the throne in Skyhold and I could build a tower for either the mages or the templars and either harvest more flowers or have a bugged chantry "upgrade". Silly me that, when I am told I will have a "complete control over appearance and abilities", I picture something completely else...

In DAO i was able to use 100 and more of different hairstyle and even import them from different games and manipulate everything with the toolset and others applications, compared to that level of customization DAI is litterally nothing.

I kinda felt the opposite. The american voice actress for inquisitor just sounded more...real to me. Less like someone who was trying too hard I guess. The brittish female wasn't too bad but both of the male voices were iffy to me.

I've heard the American actress on other games as back up voices, so that's all I can think of when I hear her. Kind of kills it for me.

And you will find the Witcher forum busy whining about the graphical quality of the grass and how the latest gameplay trailer makes TW3 look like DAI. I rest my case.

 

Oh, and don't count your games before they are hatched.

I am looking forward to TW3 but it is lazy and premature to highlight an unreleased game as being superior (remember Destiny).

 

The OP's points had 'some' merit in highlighting elements of the game that were less strong.

But the rude way in which they were expressed diminishes them.

I feel Alix (also the voice of Samantha Traynor) did a good job as the english female inquisitor, but I would fault the writers and especially the VO directors more than the remaining actors. For example the guy voicing the english male inquisitor is the same who voiced Zevran, the lovable Dragon Age version of Puss in boots. Yet he sounded bland here, because the whole character was bland to begin with, unlike Hawke or Shepard.

 

EDIT: My bad, Zevran is the american Inquisitor.

If the game were free like these forums and I complained that's rude.  Rude is making me pay $60 for a game with a recycled villain and the WORST HAIRSTYLES IN RPG HISTORY.

Rofl... that's the first thing I thought when I read that person's comment.  xD  I paid good money for this broken, boring, glitchy game, so I think I have a right to criticize it.

 

However, I don't feel like criticizing anything right now, so I'll just say that I agree with the OP and most of what's already been written in this thread.

Oops, sorry, Zevran is the american Inquisitor. But well, the same applies for him, since I honestly think the american Inquisitor was even worse than the british one

 

In DAO we all could see how good he is, he either phoned it in like Peter Dinklage in Destiny, which I don't think was the case here, because this is more or less a problem with all the Inquisitors or the VO directors gave him (and the others) wrong directions and let's be honest, the writing for Inquisitor is not stellar either.

Yeah, as I was writing my reply to Darkly Tranquil I was suddenly not sure, checked it and found out it was the other way around. The point still stands, somehow, both Inquisitors were bland. (will fix it in my original post, thanks for the correction)

The "grow up" thing is almost always a really weak way how to end your argument, but in your post it is even more so, when you are throwing insults and accusations around. It doesn't really make you look like a person, who should be telling others to "grow up", but quite the opposite

I love dragon age. I love the lore, the characters, the atmosphere, etc. and I believe the dragon age series as a whole and individually are great. So when I complain, it's because there is something seriously wrong and I am absolutely disappointed. It's as if the developers don't even care anymore and throw scraps at us as if we're starving. I just hope bioware gets it's act together and starts making games again instead of products.

The game sucks, we expected more when we were told we were buying somethng completely different.. tuck your tail between your legs, and go back to the Bioware office, tell them you failed to flip anyones negative opinion, of this terrible game..
