nah, vision surgery is great, had it done almost 10 years ago and havent regretted it
still wear glasses sometimes though, mostly because i look weird without them

Economic instability. If it doesn't screw up your life, it does one decade or two of your life.
I hate when I put a contact in backwards and don't realize it until I have left the house, and then I have to decide to just deal with the discomfort or flip it and risk losing the contact.
Which brings me to my next thing I hate
I hate when all the good agencies(DEA and ATF, oddly enough the FBI does not, nor does OIG) I want to work for have uncorrected vision requirements. Like wtf, the logic being if you get into a scuffle you can have your contacts knocked off of you. I have worn contacts for 2 years now, and I box regularly. Obviously my partners are not trying to kill me, but they still hit pretty damn hard, and I have NEVER had a contact fall out. Ever. Anyway, not gonna let this limit what agencies I can apply to. So here goes vision surgery. Luckily its pretty safe and relatively cheap. Still annoying as **** tho.
It sucks when we're forced not to follow our favorite jobs that we have the most talents in them, because BS reasons.
