This sort of confuses me though. If he only eats humans why would a non human need someone to protect them?

Does divinity original sin have perma death? Or does the party have to be wiped? 

 

Also my 1v1 with that ogre was the stuff of songs. A more fearsome enemy I have never faced.

 

The game ends if the two main characters are killed (but I'm using a mod for four main characters but I still think it would end if the first two characters I created died as they are considered the main characters).

 

You need a resurrection scroll or spell to bring dead party members back to life otherwise they remain dead.

 

I recommend trying the game, it's pretty good.

I agree in terms of the combat, it's pretty in depth since you can play around with nearly everything and create an effect. The story or characters didn't really grip me. But combat makes it worth it.

Like in most Divinity games, the small side stories and small touches drew me in more than the main narrative. Part of that has to do with the humour. I honestly think Larian are the only RPG studio at the moment to do light hearted humour right.

 

I wish there wasn't so much exposition in the main story though, it dragged the experience down a tad. 

 

Will say that the combat gameplay is some of the most engaging I've ever seen in a turn based RPG.
