Aye, but it can work like that. Nothing changes if we sit around, throw our hands in the air and go, "Welp, nothing's gonna change"

Gotta work for that betterment for it to happen.

Eh. Human nature is to be adverse and non-supportive when confronted with people they don't know. Just look at how nearly every human in the world reacts to being a public bus, or in the subway. Everyone minds their business, keeps their head down, avoids eye contact or social interaction...

...but if the train or bus is late? Suddenly everyone becomes comrades in arms, ready to trash the terrible system that has inconvenienced their lives for less time than a commercial break. The shared commissary of suffering such wounds brings negative brotherhood, which dissipates the second the opposition is gone.

That's human nature. We're just not that nice to strangers and faceless groups (like companies).

What else are they supposed to show exactly? They've shown gameplay, the inventory screen, different areas in the game, bits of monster hunting side quests and a glimpse of the main quest to avoid spoilers. There's a lot of information in interviews and such as well. I'm really curious what else you feel they should share before the game is out.

I need to know which characters I can bang.

No. While TW3 looks to be a well crafted game, the lack of Pause and adult content shall be enough for me to pass on this series again. Maybe the next game will provide more mainstream characters.

It would have been interesting if we could have played a support character/ not so damsel in distress, but I suppose they want to complete Gerald's story. And in their universe a female char would require too much additional stuff (like completely new dialogue and probably having to convince the quest giver that 'yes you CAN slay the monster/do whatever') added...oh well...opportunities for the future...or indie games I guess:)

Loved the first Dragon Age and disliked the second and Inquisition was good in some areas poor in many for me..

Witcher 1 i absolutely hated, clunky, story chopped all over and limited loot, but Witcher 2 is like night and day to 1 i love it immensely its amazing great story, great weapons and loot, crafting etc, combat is a lot better as well, sadly it has Inquisitions "press key to find loot" but can't have it all i guess..

I have pre ordered Witcher 3 as i think it will be amazing, and the free 16 DLC was a nice touch, even if its cosmetic.

Uhh Witcher series has always had Adult content more than Dragon Age even?

I'll have you know I'm far to scared of people to ever engage in such communal destruction. :)

You wrong. You play only as Geral. We may get to control other charters for short time or few missions. Like in Witcher 2 Dandelion for small part of mission or Stennis. This best example of media blowing something out of proportion. Like DA:I have 40 endings.

Geralt is main character.

Not true i've read reviews you play as Ciri, Yennefer and Triss in parts of the game.

DA is by far my favourite setting of the two, but I honestly expect TW3 to be a better game than DAI.

I love the Witcher series, DA:O, and to a degree the ME series. My library is full of games from varied developers because the only thing I have loyalty to when it comes to gaming, is having fun. Also, maybe it's because I'm an old-school gamer that I don't mind different combat methods in games, since many games in the 80s had completely different controls and systems of play so we learned to adapt.

The only thing I'm worried about in W3 is pop-in at max settings due to claustrophobic LOD, something Witcher 2 has issues with. When I crank settings to max, I expect draw distance to be way out there!

Are anyone else worried that their loyalties may shift? I've felt very comfertable in the Dragon Age camp. I don't wanna be a Witcher fan.

What the hell is that even supposed to mean? No offense OP, but grow up.

You sound as if the Witcher success might have threatened you or your so-called "loyalties" somehow. Well here's newsflash for you - you can actually be a fan of both! Just as you can be a fan of Fallout 3 and New Vegas or Oblivion and Gothic 2.

Pretty crazy, eh?

Also Witcher is sexist standard macho wizard dude.

Ah, as usual. No Witcher topic is complete without someone crying about this. Good gig.

Yeah loyalty to a game seems pretty odd to me.

People should pledge their loyalty to me instead, and then send me money.

Deliberately missing out on other games because you love another? I might be able to understand this if it was about MMORPGs, but anything else is just odd.

It's not so different from players who refuse to play anything else, unless they can be female or male only - but that is more understandable to me because it's for personal reasons. Mostly.

They are not mutually exclusive. Your loyalty is not mutually exclusive. Your fandom is not mutually exclusive.

They are 2 different RPGs, play them both, enjoy them both. It is really that simple.

Dont worry. Witcher 3 will be a much better game then DAI. CD Project Red aims to make epic RPG with quality story and mission, not some offline MMO

I clicked on this thread thinking that it might be concerns that the game would be downgraded, a technical mess, or have obnoxious eurojank combat...again.

Instead it was fanbase drama.

....don't worry no need to thank me...I like being helpful:))

....but to not be so completely offtopic: did the nameless one answer the question 'But what can change the nature of a man?' ? I can't remember...

Witcher is awesome but it is a different kind of game than DA games. I follow both game genres.

 the "autistic" sense of humour.

I don't understand this.

@topic: Why do people feel they have to be a part of some faction? Is it really so hard to like both the Witcher and Dragon Age? I mean, I like both DC and Marvel, I like both Disney and Dreamworks, etc.
