I really enjoyed getting to see Oralis in Inquisition, and I'm completely on board for seeing more of Thedas. I don't know why, but I really want DA4 to take place in Tevinter.

Actually, no. I know exactly why:

  • Fenris, DA2, talks a lot about Tevinter and how things are done differently.
  • Feynriel, DA2, going off to Tevinter to lean how to control his magic.
  • Anders, DA2, talking about how Tevinter mages are the only ones who sought to reverse demon possession.
  • Dorian, DAI, talking about going back to change his home land for the better.
  • City Elf Warden, DAO, has family that is captured, shipped to Tevinter, and sold into slavery (I would really like to get some closure to this storyline, pelase!)

I'm all for going to Tevinter in DA4! Who's with me? Let's go!

Ever since Laidlaw said we were going North, everyone and their mothers have been clamoring for Tevinter. Personally, I'd much rather want to go to Rivain or Antiva, but those don't seem to have as much story importance or as many hints pointing there as Tevinter.

Does it really matter where we go to pick flowers and mine iron?

lmfao - too true.

But in all seriousness, OP, yes I want to go to Tevinter. ::turns and looks at lurking devs:: Preferably without all the damn grinding, thnx.

  Fair point. Tevinter minus all the flower picking and iron mining.

Ever since DA2, I had been hoping DA3 would take us to Tevinter.  So, I've been clamoring for it for a while...

I would go there if the next game happens to be titled "Dragon Age: Exterminatus" or something similar. Isn't that the next logical step after Inquisition anyway?

I want to go to Tevinter.... 1000+ years ago... when a group of mages prepared to make their assault on the Fade.

It seems like Tevinter would be the logical setting for the next game. Though if the stuff with Weisshaupt doesn't get resolved in dlc, we might have a game in the Anderfels.

I have that in my head a very real possibility...

It would be nice to have companion options for many of the "lesser" quests, looting, picking flowers and mining to name a few, sadly all missed in inquisition.  Tevinter is the source of the rage that the old one talked about, likely isolated ruins filled with all manner of cursed and demented demons along with rare loot.  Might need some religious quest just to open the places up?  I think someone posted a trading post quest along these lines, it's been a while.

Yep, and a little more gameplay mechanics from Origins at the same time please.

Tevinter, let's go! B)

I would love to see Tevinter.

The best scenario for me would be a completely new tale with none of the characters from the previous DA games. We could have lots of Tevinter politics and power play and hopefully the freedom to play a truly evil character, who schemes and plots his or her way to domination. That would be good.

I would love to see Dorian again, since he said he'd go back. But all he'd have to do is pop up at some point. He doesn't have to be a companion.

And I think it would also be nice for people who gave Fenris back to Denarius to see him again - also just as a quick cameo.

Otherwise, yes, all new people. And I do like the idea of a power play. A slave origin would be interesting too.

It would be intereasting to see Tevinter in the Game. There are many plots there wich they can choose from...A war with Qunari, truths about Andraste and Magic...Maybe a 6th Blight!Oh!That would be very cool!!!

But unfortunetely I've to desagree with you...I'm very deasapointed with the treatment they gave to Orlais...Val Royeaux is just a tiny commerce point...Leliana told me so much about it,The Grand Cathedral,The Circle and plenty other things that i miss there...

I remember when I really wanted to go to Val Royeaux but then DAI came and Val Royeaux is probably my least favorite place now. To be honest, I don't care where we go. Yes, it would be nice to go to Tevinter, Antiva, Rivain but what difference does it make if in the end we probably won't get to explore big cities with different cultures and people? We'll probably get another few dozens of maps with nothing but wilderness in it so it doesn't matter if it's a forest in Tevinter or a desert in Antiva, it's all the same in the end.

I kind of want to go see the dwarves and the deep roads again. Sick and tired of forests...

And if they're doing tavinter, I want a city, val royeaux being one screen was just the lamest thing in the world. We never got to see Orlais, we saw a couple of shops on one street. Denerim in origins was way better done.

"here's the capital of orlais... but we're not going to show it to you". Pfffft.

This. Seriously, what kind of rpg doesn't have cities. The largest population in DAi was the town of redcliff.

I want to go to Tevinter, but only if a big city is part of the "playground". Val Royeaux has been one of DAI's biggest disappointments. It looks like a toy village.

The size was a disappointment, but to be honest both Val Royaux and the Winter Palace had a very...toy-esque feeling. A friend of mine described it as 'Disney fantasy', meaning it looked nice, but felt very clean and artificial. A lot of DA:I conveyed that feeling, strangely enough. Even the ruins.

It's all relative of course, but there was nothing about DA:I's environments (pretty though some of it was) that really stuck in my mind. I do remember some individual art assets I liked - who were then repeated a thousandfold in the game.

No, I'm not having high hopes of Tevinter, but who knows...

Tevinter would be ineed cool. But with blood magic, DA2's style of combat, more grey, darker and gritty decisions (since we would be dealing with slaves... I could so picture playing as a son of a powerful magister), with an actual city (not a bloody Potemkin village) and without damn FedEx quests (they have slaves for that ... hmm, I could also picture playing as a slave... and naming him Maximus). But no matter where the game will take us (still hoping we will one day see Kal-Sharok), I will be worried about it not delivering in all aspects (except graphics of environments, FB3 is good for that).

Just as I saw you as the last person to reply in this thread I knew this is going to be about hair :D :D Also finally having hair with at least some level of physics would be great, the fact we didn't have that in a 2014 AAA game, that places so much emphasis on our characters, was just shameful.
