Edit: for clarification: Soldiers peak had dissapeared from the map, i had to take the mission to make it appear again. Loading an older save did not help, it seems this was a game-wide bug, not confined to my savegame.

I'm having the exact same problem; my DLC items for this (and only this) are gone, and it's not on the world map.  Tried clearing cache and starting the service manually to no avail.  Oddly, I still have the abilities.

I have the same issue , i have all the dlc installed but when i get into the game , i see some of them are unauthorized content. ive found a way to fix it , its pretty the same way i used to make them appear in the download tab ingame.

Windows key + R
Type :services.msc
Found Dragon age and start it manually

it will unlock all content you have downloaded. It work with windows seven , i dont know if its a known issue from guys at bioware support , maybe they gonna fix this in a futur patch. you gonna have to do it every time before you start the game until they fix it.

hope this help

I can't manually start the program, it gives me some sort of error. I opted to reinstal the game and hopefully fix this, if not then.....did I pay extra for nothing? <_< No offense, but first I lose my second playthrough because the game crashes when I use Shale in the Fade and now I lose all my DLC (unauthorized) ....and of course EA support hasn't responded to my petition (which I might add is 1 week old!)

I have a similar issue with my game.

I can play it when logged off, but when I log in (with the same account I use here) it says the Stone Prisioner is not available, but the blood armor is available...

I have finished the game offline, but my highest character here is level 6... and the strange thing is that my achivments show on this site, but the characters dont upgrade.

Also its strange that I can play the game offline with all the content I have, but online I have to turn off some of it, simply doesnt make any sense...

The game is very good, but this service is terrible.

Very terrible, I can't bring myself to buy new DLC if this persists and EA support is a joke, they don't give two cents about their customers. Once you paid them they use the money to make a new game and another and another.

I keep wondering what they told Bioware to let them be the publisher. EA is the worst company out there. (darkspawn in disguises)

Yes, I just had this happen to me as well. I'm playing DA on the PC through Steam and I have clocked 40+ hours in it so far. I played it fine yesterday. Today it tells me that some of my DLC (Shale, Warden's Keep, and some ring) is unauthorized. I am the only person using this PC and my account, so no, this is not a question of someone else logging in.

I am right now effectively shut out from the game in that I can't load my latest save, unless I disable the "unatuthorized" DLC. This is something I'd rather not do, since I actually paid for that DLC.

Why should I buy any future DLC, if you can't sort out the basic service?

I have this problem as well. I just had the hard drive that I had Dragon Age installed upon fail and re-installed it to my primary OS drive and when I go to play the game my Collector's Edition, Memory Band, Warden's Keep, and Stone Prisoner all say my account is Unauthorized for them, but when I check what is authorized on my account here on the Social site, I am told those items are associated with my account.

I have done the troubleshooting that is listed here on the site at the sticky at the top of the page and no change. I am able to use this content if I am not playing online though, so I am not sure where to look next for a possible solution.

One other thing I noticed is that Wardens Keep and the Stone Prisoner are both under the available tab for purchase when I am logged in or when I delete all my DLC content. If I do delete my DLC content all the other DLC that I am entitled to doesn't show up on my list to install even if they aren't being labeled as Unauthorized before I delete them.

If it matters, I am using Windows 7 64bit with a digital Steam version of the game.

I'm experiencing the same problem, and the log out/ log in seems to have done nothing. Even pulling the Net cable and playing offline, the content shows as unauthorized. I've been trying to run the updater service, but since I recently reinstalled windows, and did not reinstall the game (its on a different hard drive) the service seems broken, and doesn't show up with the services.msc command. I can find the service in the bin_ship folder, but I can't run it from there.

Any suggestions for how to get windows to see it? Or does someone know another tool to execute it? Or do I need to reinstall?

EDIT: Nevermind, was able to install service via installutil cmd as detailed in the FAQ section 3.2.4 http://social.biowar.../58/index/81613
recognizes the dlc as authorized now and allows me to load.

Sorry for bumping this, but I would really like a reply here.

Like I mentioned earlier, I have played DA on the PC through Steam just fine and have clocked 40+ hours in it. Then suddenly the other day, the game informs me that some of my DLC is unauthorized and wont load my saves unless I go off-line.

Let's go through that again.

I played just fine one day. The next day my DLC was unauthorized. I'm the only one using this PC. Nothing has changed at my end.

To rub it in further, my profile on this very site lists my DLC as authorized, yes, the same DLC the game claims is unauthorized. Seriously, what is going on here?

This happened to me, I fixed it by re-registering the game.

social.bioware.com/user_bw_games_register.php

I registered it when I bought, but site seemed to have lost the registration.

Well, I'm glad that worked for you, but according to this site my game (and the DLC) is already registered.

This is usually a result of the Dragon Age: Origins Content Updater service not running.  To manually start it run services.msc and find it on the list of services and start it.  I think its supposed to start up when the game starts and shutdown when you exit the game, but only the second part works for me so I have to start it everytime before I play them game.

So Bioware's Game are deactivating purchased content automatically if there are technical errors.
This is not really nice.:pinched::crying::(:(:(:(

I bought the PC collectors edition and activated all DLC. Now bought Wardens Keep and logging in using my account to download my purchase. Instead:
* my already existing DLCs where deactivated
* even I wasn't able to load my savegame I already played 30+ hours :o

So for me:
NEVER NEVER EVER LOG-IN again into a Bioware Account!!!

I finally was able to start the Updater Service (even I am able to install a service on Windows machine correct, but Bioware not *LOL*) and get my Game running again.

But: If a DLC was downloaded and installed correctly, it should'n get deactived whatever the game thinks.

What's the next step: On my next Login Bioware deletes DLCs from my machine like Amazon did with Kindle reader?

Alright, but where do I find this services.msc and what would cause to suddenly not run anymore? Like I said earlier, I have 40+ hours in this game already and I didn't have to do anything in particular to play it earlier.

Edit: Poking around the machine a bit, I found DAUpdaterSVC in the list of services. Is this the one you were referring to? It does indeed not start when the game does, but I can't seem to start it manually either. I get a "Access denied" message.

That would seem logical, but I just discovered that playing off-line doesn't actually let me use my DLC either. Shale and Warden's Keep have been removed from the map.

So in conclusion, I pre-ordered and bought the digital Collector's Edition and now Bioware or EA has somehow disabled the DLC I paid for. I will of course be extremely hesitant to buy any additional DLC in the future when the service is so unreliable. I fully realize that this means bugger all to Bio, but there's little else I can do.

You need a running game with all DLCs activated. This is the perfect moment disable the automatic Bioware login. I played offline for 30+ hours without problems.
The only critical moment is the next time you need to login into the Servers e.g. because you purchased a new DLC. I am not sure if I will try my luck a second time.

BTW: you were able to load your savegame while your DLCs where disabled?? My game installation told me that I cannot load the savegame because of missing DLCs - which in fact was a bigger shock for me than the loss of the 640 Bioware Points I purchased.

But you schould really try to get the Updater service running. There was a good article in the Official Game Support, but I can't find it at the Bioware Website at the moment.

Thanks, I have tried that advice, but unfortunately nothing has changed. I emailed EA Support about this issue and was promised a response within 24 hours. That was 3 days ago and so far I have heard nothing. I can't say I'm surprised. EA are infamous for their abysmal support.

No, I wasn't able to load a save with the DLC disabled. When I first encountered this issue, it looked like I could simply disable the "unauthorized" DLC, but it turned out it wasn't that simple. Sorry if I gave the wrong impression.

Ah, but today I finally received a response. True to form, "Clive" directed me to a page that tells me to log in with the same account as before, despite me writing in the original message that I was doing so already. I must admit that all this nonsense has put me off the game and I haven't played it much at all lately. It's starting to feel like I wasted my money. :(
