Are you sure about that Mako thing? I never have it happen to me. Added all the others with certain sources (wiki pages and a relevant thread). The last three were already on the list.

Only on Feros on the prothean skyway but it could be just a rare glitch and not a bug.

There's a bug in the final romance scene (pre-Cronos) in ME3 for console players, if you've romanced Kaidan, Ashley or Liara - the LI's eyeballs don't seem to track properly and often appear as all white or otherwise messed up during dialogue. It totally ruins what is otherwise a beautiful scene, and it's really put me off doing another playthrough. I believe it was introduced after the Omega and Citadel DLCs and is a known issue.

Fortunately, I played ME3 when it came out so was able to see this scene properly, but it's a shame it's spoiled now. :(

Galactic Wolf also mentioned somewhat similar problems with the Kaidan romance scene. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to find any video of the glitch on YouTube. He said that he'll film and post the video here, and when he'll do it I'll add the bug at once :)

Oh, one that really annoys me (but not sure if it's actually a bug) in ME2 LotSB: During the fight at the Shadow Broker vessel door (just before getting inside), if you pause the game during combat, the current line of Shepard's and Liara's banter will be muted. Not sure how it is in the rest of ME2 but in ME3, banter lines continue after releasing pause.

Some of the lines of dialogue with your squadmates in the Leviathan DLC were bugged.

After talking with them following missions some of them would begin one line of dialogue, but before they had finished the second line would start and cut off the first.

Can you clarify which line? And in what scene?

It has been awhile so my memory is hazy. I remember that was the conversation where Liara tells Shepard she is interested in him/her, and asks if he/she feels the same way too. I just don't recall whether it was the middle polite rejection from Shepard, or the bottom rude one that was bugged. One of the two failed to end the romance arc, and resulted in some complaints about ninjamancing.

I'll see if I can dig up an old compaint thread from the ME1 side of the forums.

I think that's a more general problem, I had it happen sometimes at random points, after DLC missions, or after vanilla-game missions.

I'm not sure if it's a bug or intended effect. If you can link a video with that occurrence, I'll add it to the list.

Shepskisaac got it right, it happens throughout all the game. Most noticeable during the final phase of Ex-Cerberus Scientists mission. If you push ahead, different dialogue lines trigger and they cancel each other out

I found a couple old threads that reference the bugged response to Liara that results in a ninjamance in ME1.

Liara has a glitch with the "I'm not interested" dialogue choice that will lock you into the romance. To avoid it, choose the "Let's be friends" dialogue instead. I only know of one person who had a glitch with the friends dialogue too. I haven't tried it myself, but for most people, it works just fine. The way to be completely sure is recruiting her last, after Virmire. Her romance dialogues won't have a chance to start.

Avoiding ninjamacing

In my most recent PT of ME1 I renegade told both Kaidan and Liara that I wasn't interested in them. I later learned that using the renegade option to turn down Liara is bugged and that she'll turn up in my cabin anyway.

Is this still the case?

Same thing happened to me. I even selected the renegade not interested option when she came to my cabin before Illos. Then I imported that character to Mass Effect 2, and guess what? Her picture is on my desk in the cabin! I'm thinking she's obsessed/crazy, she wouldn't take no for an answer (several times) then somehow snuck that picture of her into my cabin of the Sr-2. LOL

Liara romance still bugged?

It sounds like the more direct/renegade 'no' is bugged and doesn't end the romance like arc like it should, while the middle more polite middle refusal works most (though perhaps not all, according to that first post) of the time.

Sorry for the really really bad quality of the video, but that's the only thing I could do. I had to split it in two and also cut some stuff, but all the bugs are there.

Here are the bugs in the MShep/Kaidan final romance scene:

PS, that annoying sound in the background is my xbox, it's about to blow up.

PPS, yes that's my Tumblr. I don't really use it much these days. I guess you could say I'm on hiatus. I'll go back soon.

Thanks so much for this thread.  The timing is great, since I'm about to do Overlord, and I'd rather not have the game crash.   Occasionally I run into that, and I'll see if there is any place where that can come up.  I'm about to go finish side quests, and I'll record any bugs that come up.  Except for the Firewalker missions.  Love the weapons, hate the quests.

Oh, something I did find in ME1: If you leave the Normandy in the Citadel and zone back in quickly (like to level up squad mates,) the squad screen will have your face and your squad mate's overlapping.  Plus, I was unable to move afterward and had to reload my quick save.  While I did get a screenshot of the effect, I'm having trouble getting it to upload to any image site.  If my luck changes and I can get those images uploaded, I'll let you know.

For those that are on PC, the best way to get unstuck is to use the "fly" console command, then move and reload your game.  This works in most areas where you can get stuck.  When in doubt, quick save before any battle.  Also, since it's not in the OP and it's the only known work-around, type in viewmode lit to get rid of the black boxes.   Saving and reloading once I hit the science lab area in Peak 15 prevented it from returning in other areas of Noveria, but it didn't work for Ilos.  Alas, I don't think I'll ever see Ilos the way it was intended, since I have to use the viewmode workaround.   Well, unless they do that rumored remaster of the series, but I'm not holding my breath for now.  Although that would be awesome for my birthday come late September.   :P

Known bug: Sometimes the DLC will not authenticate for ME2, even after a clean reinstall and getting the downloadable content from the BioWare site instead of Origin's DLC list.  The PC fix for that is here, and it is okay by BioWare.   Ignore the 3 in the icon, it's meant for ME2.

Note: I have not personally gotten the increased saves to work (Origin version.)  I tried and it crashed my game at the main menu when trying to load a save.  When I redid the patcher without using the increased save toggle, it worked just fine.  You also don't have to enable the cheat console, just apply the patching tool to the proper files.  It's very easy to use.   :)

Thanks for the contribution :) I did get that "unable to move bug" in ME1, I believe it's tied to opening leveling screen too fast after a loading screen. Any screen, including reloading saves.

Added both of the issues to the thread. The first one has a "No example" indication, I'll remove it once you manage to get that screenshot you mentioned :)

I have encountered most of these glitches with as many times as I have played. My ps3 version of ME1 is so full of them I barely complete the game. The mako can't get across a planet without falling through the ground. Also my squadmates get stuck on me while running. On every system I play it on when in the tunnels on Feros after talking with Ian Newstead one of my squadmates always gets stuck and has to be warped back in once I am fighting the Krogan at the Geth transmitter.

Mass Effect 2

1. Thane's loyalty mission. Might be only when you bring Tali along (but why wouldn't you? She's so adorable!  :P ), but when Bailey mentions the Shepard VI...

Don't know how to explain it, but just start at 50 seconds.

 https://youtu.be/MyBw3_zYrmA

It's kind of ironic because Bailey mentions the VI being buggy right afterwards

Edit: 2. Oh yes, and let's not forget about the infamous bed resting with your romance partner. The one where the hand goes through the arm.

ME2: The weird Z-fighting (that glitchy texture effect, most noticeable on hairlines, eyes and weapons; happens a lil in ME1 as well) that's in Tunchunka and the human Ambassador's office also occurs in the SM, right before you take on the baby Reaper.  If you'd like, I should have an example of this effect happening in either Tunchunka or Anderson's office in my screenshots.  If not, I can happily fire up an old save and head there so I can give you some screenshots.  If you really wanted to, I could fire back up the SM and go through it to grab examples of it happening there towards the end.  I'd be glad to for the sake of the thread.   :)

In ME3, if you save both the Quarians and the Geth, you will not see the Geth on Priority Earth prior to the run on the beam.  You will see Primarch Victus, Garrus, Tali and Wrex, etc, but not the Geth Prime.  You only See the Geth Prime if you let the Quarians get smoked.

I'll add these, thanks :) The second one is only noticeable with Tali, as far as I can tell.

I'm not sure if it's a bug. For all we know it could've been made deliberately.

Did you want pics from the SM?  Or just an example of the effect in general?  The latter is a bit easier, but I'm willing to do the former.

Both? :) You mentioned the effect happening both in ME2 and ME3, so having examples from both games can be good. No idea how to write it in the thread though. List the same bug in both ME3 and ME2 sections?

One example should suffice though. Two is better, but not mandatory ;)

It happens in ME1 and ME2, actually.  I can't get the screenshots from ME1 to work for some reason.   It's very minor in ME1, and only happens in a couple of the random planets.  When it happens in ME2, due to the higher resolution, it's painfully obvious.  I can hop over to the Presidum and Tuchunka in a little while and grab some screenshots.  I tried to find a video example of it online.  I was only able to for BF3,  I found videos for both Skyrim and BF3, but the effect is the same.   It's most noticable in close-ups, so I'll try to trigger a conversation.

Definition of Z-fighting: http://en.wikipedia....wiki/Z-fighting

If you just want an example of the effect in general, then I won't re-do the SM.  The only times that happens in the SM is right before you find the Baby Reaper and right before you fight it, and I don't think I'm up for going through the SM so soon.   :P

Edit: While I wasn't able to get a good screenshot of the glitch in a conversation, this is what it looks like in the (ME2) Presidum in general.  Note the top of her head.  She isn't using an imported mesh, and the only tweak I did was make her eyes a darker blue.  You might want to click on the pics to get a higher resolution, but you should see it.  That effect is magnified greatly in cutscenes.  According to my research, this happens on the Xbox 360 as well.  The worst is when you're talking to the Council with Anderson and Udina walks in.  Sadly, I don't have a save from right before that, but here it is in gameplay.  I couldn't get a good shot of it, but it affects weapons and it affects Anderson too.  It's a constant flickering:

Spoiler

Spoiler

The areas where it hits the hardest in cutscenes:

1) The Presidum (though you can tell it affects in game play.)  Next time I play through ME2, I'll make it a point to take screenshots when Shep is reinstated.  Holy cow, this glitch is the worst during that conversation, and as you can tell by the definition, there isn't a thing the player can do.  This is an issue in the programming of the game itself unfortunately.  If this thread is inactive for whatever reason by the time I play again, I'll PM it to you directly.

2) At Tunchunka during the first few conversations at the Urdnot camp.  Best time to look for it is when Wrex stands up to greet Shepard, and those first dialogues.  I did notice it when I was running back to test, but the only save I had for testing was after Grunt's mission when the effect diminishes (after my first conversation with Wrex.)  It still happens, but it flickers so quick and is minimal enough on Wrex that getting screenshots is actually a pain.

3) The last two cutscenes of the SM, the one where your final squad is floating up the the reveal of the Baby, and the other is right as the Baby Reaper pulls itself up so it can get nuked.  Though the boss fights and the rest of the scenes afterward the Baby is dead are normal.

The rest of the game is normal for me (PC, Origin digital version.)  In ME1, I only ran into it 2x and it wasn't in a cutscene.  Just a bit of glitching at the top of the head.  They weren't on any major missions, so I don't know what planets exactly happened on.

Playing solo in the Armax arena, Shep loads up standing next to her omni tool which floats in mid air and remains static. The omni tool animation then never appears when she is fighting.

Thanks! I added it to OP. Do you get the same issue with a different hairstyle/male Shepard? Maybe it's an issue with that particular hairstyle?

Is it possible to replicate that bug?
