Okay, so, there is absolutely no point in scanning every planet, correct?

I'm a completionist so leaving poor planets unscanned is driving me nuts, but I do want to move on. Is there absolutely any benefit to scanning every planet dry (aside from having a butt ton of resources?)

(I looked it up but wasn't totally satisfied with the answer, is all. I just want something more point-blank.)

no you don't have to. you can scan rich planets to get the million you need for ME3.

What million at you referring too?

If 100 000 is gathered of each resource the player will receive 100 war assets. I've tried this a few time with no luck. I've only received 25 war assets. If you don't care about the assets, than no there isn't any reason to scan the planets except to get upgrades in ME2

I see. You didn't have any luck? Huh. Weird. Well, I know that you get some scanning bonuses if you're an Engi, so maybe that has to do with it? Idunno.

That doesn't seem worth scanning that many planets over. 100 isn't a lotta war assets :/ But...I already have like 300,000 or more of them (except eezo) by accident so, we'll see if I get that bonus (I can't believe I spent that long scanning...aghhhh...I need a new hobby. No I don't. Games. Games forever.)

Thank you guys for the help. I am so done scanning. Freedom!

No there's no point or need to. One play through I scanned every system and every planet down to the Depleted status.  I ended up with well over 1,000,000 assets for each  mineral, except Eezo which ended up with over 250, 000.  That's after Upgrading everything from the DLC's as well.

It doesn't do anything extra in ME3.

I should add that I did get 100 war assets, but that only happened after gathering all the minerals in ME1 and having 100 000 of each resource in ME2

Aw, there there, eezo-kay. Sorry that scanning proved to be massively d-effect-ive.

I can't tell if I hate myself or if I'm really, really pleased...

Oh good, I did that. So here's hoping!
