Annoying challenge is annoying. After several useless runs I came to the conclusion that it doesn't encourage joining a lobby in any form. Here's what happens in 75% of your searches: find a group that already got past the interesting wave, finish the run to see the group fall apart, you are back to square one looking for a group, rinse and repeat. Probably made a dozen of runs and only killed 4 of these.

pretty much my experience. out of 5 game sessions I got 1 kill. That's excluding multiple connection errors (joining-joining-joining....nope, sorry, back to lobby)
While I could potentially leave any ongoing match right after joining, I just don't see the point.

This is true, the Druffalo challenge does not reward jumping in part way through.
Solo'd it all. Kill druffalo, die, repeat 5 times. What do I get for my efforts? Staff I already had. Frost rune. Not even a superb frost rune.
Yeah. I'm done. Until and/or if the chests are actually improved or we get new dlc.
PS4 currently at 14,591
Have slain 10 myself since the start, which isn't a lot, I know. Gotta head out of town now to go cheer my husband on at the racetrack, but I'll be on all day Sunday adding to the barbecue pile. ![]()

The latter is more likely than the former ![]()

Here's a good recipe...
30-Minute Druffalo Orlesian Breads
YIELD: SERVES ABOUT 4
PREP TIME: 20 MINUTES
COOK TIME: 6-8 MINUTES
TOTAL TIME: 30 MINUTES
ingredients: 1 loaf of Orlesian bread, cut in half
1 1/2 pounds boneless, Druffalo steak, cut into 1-inch pieces
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 garlic cloves, minced
2/3 cup Druffalo wing sauce + extra for drizzling
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
3 tablespoons ranch dressing
12 ounces Antivan cheese,
freshly grated 6 ounces crumbled Ferelden stilton
4 green onions,
thinly sliced 1 bunch of cilantro, chopped
directions: Place a rack over camp barbecue. Place the Orlesian bread, cut-side up, on a baking sheet and place over the fire for 2 minutes, then rotate and heat 2 minutes more, just until slightly golden. Remove and let cool. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Toss Druffalo pieces with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet and cook until browned on all sides, about 10-12 minutes. Once cooked through, add garlic and stir for 30 seconds, then add in Druffalo wing sauce and butter. Stir to toss and coat. Brush 1 1/2 tablespoons (or more if desired) of ranch dressing onto each cut side of Orlesian bread. Top with 2-3 tablespoons each of Druffalo wing sauce, then cover equally with a light sprinkling of Antivan cheese. Add the Druffalo, spooning out all of the sauce in the skillet. Cover with remaining Antivan cheese and Ferelden stilton. Stoke the fire (on the same center rack) for 5-6 minutes, watching closely and rotating the pan once or twice during heating. You must watch closely because all camp barbecues differ! It may take your fire 3-4 minutes or closer to 8. Just cook until the cheese is melted and slightly golden and the bread is somewhat crunchy. Remove and top with another drizzle of Druffalo wing sauce and then cover in green onions and cilantro. Cut into pieces and serve! Better than that ham...
(This should also work for other meats, though Wyvern will need a little more cooking time)
I season mine with some Dawn Lotus and Prophet's Laurel.
Meh chest as expected.
Got my commendation chest and salvaged the lot of it. Oh well, I had fun being druffalo stomped.
PS4: 15708
They're running 10 minutes late for the Druffalocalypse...

I got a nasty piece of 2H axe, blue one with 280ish DPS and 30% sunder and some Crit Damage.
Also Pyre of the Forgotten, though my old staff when runed does slightly better DPS and had +16 Magic.
16 magic is hefty. Will it alone outweigh the Pyre when the DPS is nearly equal. It has electricity damage if that matters any. I'm so newb especially with stat comparison.

As I understand it, the best 3 staves are:
Each of them put out 66-68 base damage and with runes/upgrades you can be doing over 150dps. i.e. Slap on a Superb Spirit Rune and a Notched Staff Grip constructed with either Imperial Vestment Cotton or Lustrous Cotton and you'll be getting +25 Spirit Damage and +4% Heal on Kill.
Is your old staff Fury of the Veil?
360 at about 2900 now. Not looking great.
Ouch...
XB1's looking strong on 16,500
I wonder how significant the number of folk who didn't load Destruction DLC is?
PC is at 12592 as of 01:37 CET.
Time for sleepies.
Where was this DLC announcement?
I don't see why they would keep any MP DLC or bug fixes under wraps... There really is no advantage unless they're not releasing any at all.
Where was this DLC announcement?
We know the forums are a minority pursuit.
The game sites carried news of the DLC launch, e.g.:
http://uk.ign.com/ar...s-now-available
http://www.gamespot....d/1100-6424267/
http://www.gameinfor...estruction.aspx
But still, many people don't visit game sites either.
And the Destruction DLC was very much described as a 'pack', 'add-on', rather than a full-blown DLC, which is fair.
The key glitch didn't help.
The only effective place to make this clear is in the game itself with a flag on the home screen or on the event notification.
That may also help to shore up the player base by having them playing together rather than separately.

As I understand it, the best 3 staves are:
- Pyre of the Forgotten (Fire)
- Fury of the Veil (Electricity)
- Mindchill Staff (Cold)

Is your old staff Fury of the Veil?
No, it's just an old blue one. I did switch to Pyre this morning and while I can't tell which one is actually better I'm relying on Pyre for now. Slapped a master rune on it to get it do 138 DPS.
The old one is now salvaged so no going back.
