Hello all, I've flirted with Iron Bull the entire time. Did his companion quest on the Storm Coast (saved his men) and now this big galoot only says hi to me in the tavern. I was flirting with and completed Blackwall's companion quest. Does having two romance options cancel the other(s)? Being Qunari, and that short life Warden thing, I decided that I wanted to pursue the relationship with Iron Bull, however, it appears that ship has sunk with the other Qunari... I saw something on approval. Do I still need to drink from the Well of Sorrows to activate the final part of the romance?

Did you confirm the relationship status with Blackwall? I think once you agree to be official in a relationship with someone, it closes off all other romances, unless you split up.

 

IB's romance confirmation triggered for me before Wicked Eyes, Wicked Hearts, so it can happen pretty early on.

Have you crafted the dragon bone necklace and given it to him? That's what confirms the romance.

If you flirted with Blackwall when you first arrived at Skyhold, you've been ninjamanced.
You'll have to break up with Blackwall when he comes to visit you in your room. If you're already past that scene then you're locked in with Blackwall.

Going by what you said, it sounds like you have a high approval with him if you've already done all possible assignments for The Iron Bull. If you flirted with Blackwall as soon as you arrived at Skyhold (up on the battlements), then as previously said above, chances are you're in a relationship with him (IT WAS A TRAP!) which would cause the Iron Bull to lose interest in the blink of an eye. You'll have to break things off with Blackwall to romance the Iron Bull if you are indeed romancing Blackwall.

If you flirted with Blackwall consistently then you've locked the romance and Iron Bull is backing off. Blackwall locks in pretty early despite him being all 'we can't be together wah wah'.

Blackwall is the only person who locks in like that without you even realizing it.  It is indeed a trap! If you don't flirt with Blackwall you can flirt with everyone mercilessly until you get down to the point of  no return.

Yeah. None of the companions will approach you while you're dating someone else. It's also important to note that if you aren't careful, Dorian and Iron Bull may end up hooking up before you're able to initiate a date with him. Happened to me.
