I've fallen in love with Luka and would really like to get a working build for her.

In the beginning I was like WTF, Fire Flask and Bombs. After 5 or so runs I noticed most of the bombs after the fight were still on the ground.

Then after reading some guides and stuff I decided to try Flank Attack and hoo-boy does it look tasty in action. In reality it's not perfect but it's nice enough for me to play with. As for my third active I naturally picked Stealth.

Problem here is now that I find the Elemental Mines situational at best and would like to hear what other skills are you guys using.

Possible options here are:

- Poison Weapons. Not sure if the damage is high enough to justify its use. Also since I'm looking for a bit more survivability it's not ideal.

- Frost Flask. Possible oh crap button. Some synergy with Fire Flask due to passive skill.

- Knockout Bomb. Oh crap option here too, but AFAIK doesn't work on bosses so I'm a bit hesitant.

- Toxic Cloud. Would be wicked if it worked with Fire Flask but since it doesn't I'd skip this for the same reason as Poisoned Weapons.

- Parry. Just no.

- Evade. Low cooldown and works also for positioning as well as escape method. Even though it's often adviced not to I think this might have it's uses. Low stamina requirement but not sure if it's usable often enough due to low stamina.

- Twin Fangs. Trying to land this thing. Just no, though it might do well in crowds with Fire Flask.

- Shadow Strike. Current strongest contender. I rather like the cooldown reduction effect on it. Most likely getting I Was Never Here passive so this would come naturally on the way.

I'm playing mostly on Routine with occasional Threatening looking to do a few promotions with this so I'm not touching Perilous yet. Currently using a purple dagger which name escapes me now and Antivan Slasher with Heal on Hit (or was it kill) with DPS ratings of 288 and 199 when runed.

So, after all this rambling the original question was what skill should I get to replace Elemines if any?

Also feel free to talk about your other Luka builds too if you want, not only the Stealth-FA-FF-? builds.

I use Fire Flask as my fourth, but it takes a little getting used to. It doesn't work as described as it empties stamina, even with the upgrade, when you use mines.

I'm going to experiment with Ice Flask on my next build.

The secret power of the mines is that each hit also triggers both daggers on hit powers.

If you bring a 1% heal on hit dagger by example, you can refill your whole life in one fire salvo against a group of enemies cause the massive ammount of hits you can pull.

My builds are made for versatily, I usually use fire flaks plus mines at a cluster of archers and then I cloak and either go around backstabbing archers triggering I was not there or twin fangs a heavy enemy or commander.

The alchemist is a middle ground of crowd control and single target dps, with top equipment she can be very powerful at cc being able to wipe stack of archers/warriors faster than you can say fire storm.

I am thinking of doing a frost flask, fire flask, elemental mines and shadowstrike. Frost then shadow strike gets you a combo, fire flask to go with the mines.

The build I was using prior was stealth, poison cloud, frost flask and shadow strike. Sneak in a group drop poison then use frost so you don't die. Kill some dudes and go back into stealth.

I have at times subbed flank attack for stealth so I can do some damage and still go invisible.

I've also used knockout bomb with poison cloud. You can drop the poison then put enemies to sleep inside the cloud. They will stay asleep and keep taking poison damage.

It's a very versatile character.

I like poison cloud/weapons, stealth, knockout bomb, and flank attack. Some damage, some cc, some survivability. She is very versatile. Or you could play her like a poor man's assassin. Stealth, twin fangs, poison weapons, fire flask. Good burst damage, just not as much as assassin.

I use a combination of fire & frost flask, shadow strike and either stealth, twin fangs or flank attack for the fourth skill.

The shatter combo with frost flask and shadow strike is fantastic.  Multiple shadow strikes or other abilities with fire flask is fantastic as well.  Combine it with the flask passives and it is very enjoyable.

Funny thing is that if you are knocked down (dying) and then an enemy steps on a mine healing you, you get back on foot. This works even if you died already three times. But If you are the last man woman dwarf standing, it have to proc fast or you will get the mission failed anyways.

The mines also can proc things like the walking dead dagger´s bomb.

Toxic Cloud does work with Fire Flask, it does for me...

Pop Fire Flask, drop 3-4 toxic clouds on a group, then dagger those still standing.

Flank Attack when I'm compromised and want to bounce back into Stealth.

Ooh. I had previously read that only one cloud can be active at the time.

I use:

- Toxic cloud

- Stealth

- Evade

- Flask of Frost

I use this build on Threatening and Perilous and find that the Flask of Frost really helps with survivability I dont like the second evolution of it though as this build is optimised for being stealth and removing aggro.

Evade is used both defensively and Offensively (with Stealth you get a 50% damage bonus to Evade which already does 300% damage in its second form. If you combine that with the following passives 'Dance of Death' (50 stamina returned per kill), 'Knife in the shadows' (automatic critical hit from stealth) and 'I was never here' (any cool-down on stealth is removed by killing a target) then you can use the Stealth evade combo every 2 seconds which does a lot of damage and works very well on both Routine and Threatening.

Toxic cloud is very good for hitting groups of enemies and synergies well with Flask of Frost, if you are playing mostly routine then Toxic cloud alone will destroy groups of enemies. its still very effective on on Threatening and on Perilous but on Routine it kills groups of enemies very quickly.

If you want to focus more on crowed control then you can substitute Knockout bomb for evade. Knockout bomb will put groups of enemies to sleep and Toxic cloud will not wake them up.

Ooh. I had previously read that only one cloud can be active at the time.

And the clouds appear to stack (unverified but looks like it)

so multiple clouds kills enemies quicker.

I thought it was thoroughly proven that only one Toxic Cloud and one Explosive Toxin Cloud can be active at once? I know I've seen youtube videos posted on this forum proving it the last time it was brought up.

All my past experience has proven that you can't have multiple clouds of the same type active at once.

If I had to guess I'd say that the effect of the First Toxic Cloud ends the instant a second one is cast but visually it takes a couple of seconds to dissipate because the devs thought that would look better than having it just blink out of existence.

That was my assumption too.

Just how I appeared to me, I did say it wasn't verified.

Enemies seem to die faster with two or more Fire Flask induced clouds.

Will look again the next time my Alchemist levels enough...

I use Flank attack, Stealth, Toxic cloud and Frost flask. Tested on perilous with friends and it worked well. Not tested on pug population yet (am not brave enough).

It´s pretty much vital to attack from behind, I usually go stealth, drop toxic cloud in the middle of spawn, flank attack to get behind the group and start attacking their collective asses.

I've tested many builds and this class is really hard to build.

Skills are all over the place, pretty much for every build you need at least 15-16 level to get all skills.

Because I have good daggers (walking death and agony) and twin fangs ring  assassin like build works for me best.

flank attack

twin fangs

knockout bomb

stealth.

KB can be used in stealth and it has really great synergy with twin fangs. Aside from detonations sleep make mobs stand still (so aiming is way better on moving targets) and it really helps with archers. Also for me Sleep + twin fangs is around 1k bonus damage from detonation so it's makes this on par with assassin and her better damage passives.

Build is also quite fast "ready" to use, I was not here passive isn't required, all you need at start is flank attack and twin fangs.

I was also using build with fire flask instead of flank attack and it was also great (still I was not here is needed). Spamming bomb all over the place is fun and helps party a lot.
