I think you'll get the idea with this thread. What can we learn from movies? Old and new.

1: Faced with a serious and really difficult problem, drinking copious quantities of cheap Bourbon will help you clear your head, enhance your mental powers and focus.

2: Badly bruised, severe blow to the head, or even seriously wounded, drinking copious quantities of cheap Bourbon will help you heal and recover.

3: Prior to engaging superior forces of bad guys in lethal combat, drinking copious quantities of cheap Bourbon will enhance your situational and spatial awareness, increase your cunning, your speed, precision, agility and firearms prowess.

4: If your loved ones leave you, it's not quite clear what drinking copious quantities of cheap Bourbon will do, but it sure is the right solution.

When you are terribly outnumbered by your enemies they will still give you a fair chance by fighting you one at a time.

If you are a martial artist fighting with your fists your opponent is always screwed no matter what weapon he is using.

Your opponent will always wait with shooting, or chopping you until you doge his attack or until someone interrupts him.

Don't speak with a cool accent, you're sure to die a terrible death if you do.

The black guy always has to die first because he's most likely to do the logical thing and leave the haunted house.

If you're a teenager, don't have sex. If you do, you're likely to be brutally murdered by a serial killer.

If you're the protagonist in an action movie fighting anywhere between 1 and 1 million faceless henchmen at once, don't worry. You're basically immortal.

If you're Sean Bean and get cast in something, don't go into it expecting a long-term gig.

If you're a cop, it doesn't matter how many rules you break, how many people you kill and how much collateral damage there is. All that matters is that you get the bad guy at the end. Also, your chief is most likely constantly breathing down your neck and being a real hard-ass, he might even take your badge. But don't worry! You'll be reinstated very shortly thereafter just because you're awesome.

The Series Finale of your largest struggles in life will be far less epic than you envision and much more "thrown together at the last second" than you could ever imagine.

This is an awesome zinger in an emergency:tumblr_nbyu52PqES1tuk0vbo1_500.jpg

Also, when things aren't going your way, try doing "the opposite" ... if everything you do is wrong, then the opposite would HAVE to be right

Vampires. you need to chop off the head to kill.

Angels and Demons don't poop.

Networking your electronics leaves them vulnerable to cylon attack.

If your a serial killer; working at the police department is sure way to not get caught.

DRD's will fix everything.

If you happen to be the mentor (usually more likeable and a better character than the protagonist) of the protagonist, you will most likely die a meaningless death around half-way through the story or earlier.

If you are a hero and you get shot in the shoulder it will not result in artery being punctured or the bullet ricochetting inside your body, causing you to bleed to death. Instead you are good to fight again with the bad guy in about two minutes.

Don't just stand there and watch something fall down and kill you

No matter what, that damn roadrunner will never be devoured with plenty blood and gore. Damn movies/shows telling us that no matter what we do, sometimes we just can't have that damn beep beep get blown to pieces by the works of ACME.

Jumping or falling through a glass window is totally a harmless thing to do; at most you'll get a few cuts and scrapes.

If you want to meet the most beautiful people in the USA, the places to go are the police departments of New York and Los Angeles.

Use sticks to kill vampires.

Use clubs and shotguns to kill zombies.

To destroy villains, use superheroes.

Blood has no smell. You won't notice you're covered in it until someone turns the light on.

Never shoot your adversary in the head, never check that they're wearing a vest.

Always assume your adversary won't get out of the flimsy ropes/situation you've put them in. Then go do something pointless.

Bad guy minions are completely fearless and loyal, and don't hesitate to sacrifice their lives by going up against hopeless odds and an obviously superior hero..

If the bad guy has the upper hand he will decide to have a conversation instead of finishing you off immediately, resulting in his death when your ally shoots him from behind as he is about to pull the trigger.

If you chase down one of the bad guy's henchmen and start to interrogate him, an unseen sniper will kill him instead of you despite the fact that you're both in his line of sight.
