It would be nice to wander around with your crew in a big old town/city of some sort, such as Denerim. Or even Kirkwall. I'd probably die of happiness if they brought back Orzammar... I was pretty disappointed by how limited Val Royeux seemed, seen as it's essentially the main city in the game. Aside from this, Inquisition is perfect tho :)

If Val Royeux is anything to go by, no thanks.  DA cities are always barren, with npcs standing static for the duration of the game.  In fact, ME was like that too.  Saying that, at least in ME hubs were more populated.

So you just want to spend the whole game in the forest fighting faceless opponents?

Call of duty called, they want their premise back.

Yes, for the love of god give us cities with NPCs. Val Royeaux was REALLY a bummer. Redlciff is the biggest city in the game and that was a disappointment.

And saying that they shouldn't do them at all because they got it wrong here means they do it wrong EVERY game. Some people feel they got the skills wrong, does that mean the next game in the series should have standard attacks only?

They should give us a few decent sized hubs with people moving about and merchants and some really great story. Denerim perhaps.

Agreed, but nothing like the temple in the god of secrets quests. No dialogue, a huge buildup to a boss that was just a despair demon with extra hit points that I didn't even realize was a boss until it was half dead... man, I was physically unhappy.

Oh, and finding runes on the walls, not very stimulating or fun.

A real dungeon, the deep roads is a great example. Or the Haven temple in DAO with the URN and the dragon and the cultists, lots of dialogue, party banter, villains with names and introductions and reasons to kill them. A choice to do the right thing or do the wrong thing for a cool reward.

Bioware can do great dungeons, but I'll never replay "god of secrets". it was pretty, but empty and boring. And bosses need more attention then a simple reskin of a standard rift enemy.

Val Royeux was boring. Orzammar however was an imaginative, memorable city full of history and has an excellent narrative running through it. So was Denerim, with its elven alienage and political struggles. And people diss DA2, but Kirkwall could be interesting at times. Just saying Inquisition would be a lot livelier if there was some more actual civilisation

Maybe not DLC but I'm hoping for DA4. One game with empty deserts, forests and mountains is more than enough.

Kirkwall WAS interesting, it had it's flaws with enemy waves and recycled interiors, and it was jarring being stuck there all the time and never leaving, but it was a cool place with cool stories.

Problem is bioware seems to have taken the idea we don't want to spend ALL our time in cities and decided we don't want to spend ANY time in cities, and now we're perpetually fighting bears.

Let's see queen anora and king alistair (or whoever rules in any specific game), maybe visit wade and Harren's shop in Denerim to buy some new armor (custom of course, maybe using schematics we can't find in game or craft ourselves for some truly unique Wade-style armor). Visit the pearl. Spit on arl howe's grave. etc.

They've spent three games painting a rich tapestry of political intrigue, class division, war, romance, horror and even a bit of comedy. They now need to put it all together in a game that has everything. Big expansive outdoor areas, alongside crowded, living cities. Hell, a Fable 3-esque 'rule the kingdom of Ferelden' slant could be good...

Yes please. Less wilderness, more big cities. I was so disappointed in the tiny fraction of Val Royeux we were given. It's supposed to be one of the most majestic cities in the world and yet we got to see like one market square of it.

And none of Antiva...I'd love to see some of an antivan city.

i read an interview today that said the next DLC will likely focus on moving the companions' stories forward after events of Inquisition. that'd be pretty great!

(I hope they give us more hairstyles along with it!!)

I want to go Taventer, or Antiva, some place new. But Bioware has not said anything about DLC quest yet.

I support the wish for more cities and city adventures. DAI's maps are fantastic, but things get a bit one-sided after a while. And no Disney-style toy villages next time, please. However, I don't think we'll get this in a DLC. Next game, hopefully.

I don't know, BioWare have always made a point of paying close attention and listening to their fans (thanks to all the threads that have been started about it they are now planning on including a Black Emporium with the next patch), I reckon they'll take our request seriously. If we make enough of a fuss

I play a nearly 8 year old MMO that does immersion well. With none quest relevant NPCs wandering around doing stuff, who have their own daily routines. Not that it was always like that however, but they got there eventually and made their hub areas actually FEEL relevant and significant. I would like for there to be DLC for inquisition where you do get to go to another populated location, but only if they get it right and fix their populated locations that already exist. Surely Bioware SHOULD be able to manage this? Surely with all they got at their disposal...if a game funded poorly and used as a money grab by a huge company can make their world feel alive and meaningful...surely Bioware can do that with DAI? Or is this more that they prefer to screw over those of us playing this game on old gen?

If there ends up being a DLC with a city, I am personally hoping for a previously unknown ancient Dwarven Thaig that has been untouched by the Dark Spawn...

I wonder if that includes Solas.

The "companion stories"....not the hairstyles. (in case there were any confusion).

You mean how they listened to everyone who complained about DA2 being dumbed down, and just dumbed down DA:I even more?

If by moving the companions stories forward includes heading to various strange new locations I am all for that. Sorry, but for me DLC should ALWAYS entail heading off somewhere new. [or old, you know, like if they ever get around to letting you go to some locations from previous games only redone]

Or how people hated the fed-ex quests from DA2 and the eavesdropping quests from ME3 so they just made 30 times more of them in DA:I?

More cities ? Why not, I would be happy to come back to Denerim.
