I think they had some really cool systems that would have made the main maps come alive, instead of feeling so empty and fetch-questy. It would have made it feel like a war, instead of making the war feel like some distant event we only ever hear about. It sounds like the maps would have been so much more involving, and so much more fun. I want to play that game.

And this annoys me, because i bought a PS4 and bought DAI on ps4 to ESCAPE the limitations of my old console, which I loved, but has had it's day. Meanwhile while Bioware is letting old consoles hold it back and limit the experience, from is revamping dark souls, GTA V re-released with first person modes and some amazing new content. The simple truth is technology has changed, and being held back by old gen means sacrificing features that will keep people playing for years to come.

Mike, I don't know if you ever look in on the feedback section, but if you do, technical limitations are a reality and we get that ... but let new gen console players and PC users have the FULL experience. We know you cna't magically make the ps3 process faster, and all the old console players will join us eventually. PS3 and 360 have had their day in the sun, and they were great while they did (I still play my PS3) but I think most people here would agree that if they simply can't handle something, the dev shouldn't hold back on the experience because it'd be a better game for it.

I don't care if it's paid for (just my opinion, I just want it, let's not fight a war in the comments about that), but finish that content and get it to us, the vid looks really cool and it'd be awesome to have more to do then just the fetch quests. You seem to get where we're coming from, and you seem to be listening to our comments based on the article, so we would love to see the features you intended on PC, XB1, and PS4.

A man can only beat up so many bears.

I'm a PC player too, I just prefer my PS4. I do emails on my PC (and right now the occasional attila total war, DAO and DA2). Still, A lot of companies are updating their stuff and leaving old consoles behind, and after all these years, it's definitely time to do so...

DAI should be the best it can be, and if Ps3 and 360 don't have the hardware to handle some of the content, it shouldn't be cut entirely... those people playing now will have new gen consoles or PCs as well, and its unrealistic to expect a dev to be able to jump that hurdle with the newer titles.

That is why I upgraded, in big part for DAI, so I'd like to have more to do on the maps.

It probably wasn't Laidlaw's decision to make the game for both current and last-gen consoles, so I dunno what good trying to shame him will do.

As for that content seeing the light of day on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, I kinda doubt it. First of all, DLC is probably right out, because I doubt Microsoft and Sony would be cool with it being available on one platform but not another. A Dragon Age: Inquisition Special Edition re-release would be more likely, but in that case, you run into cost-benefit questions. IF they saved all that work on cut systems they did (and that's a big if), they'd have to pull it back out, finish it, re-integrate it into the base game, test it, get sign-offs, release it, and, inevitably, patch it. From a logistical standpoint, it would be making a whole new product that only a fraction of the people who bought Inquisition on those three platforms would buy. It would probably end up being more cost-effective to incorporate it into the next Dragon Age game.

Not trying to shame him at all, so don't take it that way, just saying if they held that stuff back... give it to us, I mean why not. the systems were built, and the game might as well be all it can be. It explains why the environments are so empty.

And if they keep removing content for console parity, the end product will never be all it could be.

No finished piece of work is ever all it could be.

As for why not, if EA thinks the money can be better spent elsewhere, then it will be. That's just reality.

Still, might as well put it out there, feedback forum and all... can't hurt right, worst case scenario we stay where we are, and on the 1 in a billion chance they decide to add it in to current gen and PC, we're better off.

And BioWare is well aware of what its fans want: a mix of more game areas and a healthy dose of new story - especially something that can expand upon Inquisition's post-game stinger.

"The two big pulls are - 'I want more of this game' and 'I've reached the ending and I want to know more about the characters, or one specific character'," Laidlaw says. "I don't want to go into too much detail but I'm well aware of both of those camps and I'd like to see both of those groups satisfied before we're done."

I liked golems...I would have liked more story and characterization but otherwise it was pretty solid. Interesting gameplay, new lore elements to explore, pretty cool.

I disliked that it seems it didn't matter at all since not only is it not even listed in the keep, it's never once mentioned in DA2 or Inquisition.

Well that's kind of why I made this post to begin with... i mean really, go to Emprise, wipe out the enemy... much like golems, it has no impact on the central story.

Seeing what could have been, it would have felt so much more connected.

I suppose the way to look at it is the ideas are there, it was technology that held them back.

Next time around they won't have the same things holding back creativity and they'll have so much more experience working with the engine under their belt.

Who knows how much time they spent working on things that had to be cut because of a decision someone made to support older systems. No disrespect intended to people on older systems, not your fault. You guys paid your $$$$ for the game and as such are entitled (Yes that word) to a working game.

Exactly! I get that some people might not be able to afford an Xbone or PS4 or (preferably) PC right away, but it's definitely something worth saving for, for the good of gaming as a whole. It's like wanting all games to still be playable on N64 or wanting VHS movies instead of DVDs. Technology moves on and gets better, and game companies should always push the envelope and not let last-gen consoles hold them back at all.

Anyway, I'm quite happy Laidlaw knows what we want in DLC! 'Cause what he described is exactly what I would love. Wolf Hunt DLC! The Calling DLC! Both!

Hope the warden and the calling get their own game personally, but I think weekes has decided he doesn't want the warden to come back.

Still though, while ps3 and 360 players ABSOLUTELY deserve a working title, there's a lot of stuff coming that they just can't handle in full... that's just the reality of an old system. If they can do better on new gen, they should, otherwise this is as good as DAI will get and it'll be due in large part to parity with an old system's technological limits, which sort of sucks for those of us who already saved up to play the new gen version.

And if DA4 is done with them in mind, once again we'll be getting a prettier version of a title that just isn't going to fit on or work as well with older consoles, rather then a title that takes advantage of our systems.

A few years from now we'll be stuck with severe limitations in the game, and we'll all be next gen anyway.

It's just progress, you know? I'll play my ps3 a lot in the days to come, it's served me well, but no dev who programs based on it in this day and age will deliver a complete experience on par with other developers who recognize the need to develop with the future in mind.

Will our DLC be empty on my PS4 as well because my old Ps3 doesn't have the processing power for Bioware to produce the game they want to?

I played as male human mage, and I loved Solas more than my romance Josephine, Solas dreamer mind fu.. was amazing "Wake up".

But I don't want Solas story resolved so fast in just one DLC he have to much potential. Expansion would be nice but we never get it from Bioware.

I am sure it will be same as SWTOR. We have to fight Solas :( And it will be so hard for my Inquisitor. He showed me true about fade. I want to help Malgus no. I wanted to help Revan no. Well Revan plot twist was nice.

You start care when Solas bring might of the fade. He can control Cole from distance imagine when he visit Inquisitor in the dream.

Ugh and I have to stand my game crashing all the time because of new gen and PC players. At least you can properly play, your characters faces aren't all pixels. Nothing is more annoying than having elitist people complaining. Bioware didn't care about old gen players when doing this game, no patches except one for subtitles, no marketing towards us, nothing. I hate when people who actually have it good are complaining.

It's Bioware guilt DA:I shouldint be done on XBOX360 and PS3 in the first people. I don't see many people doing games for NES. I wonder why. Bioware say DA:I is made for PC, and what I get horrible console port and you say I can't complain. When I buy Dark souls I was told I was buying bad port so I see nothing to complain, But Bioware told DA:I is made for PC.

DAI is cross-gen game that was made to be new gen game. That's the problem. And new-gen people are complaining over smallest things just cause their new-gen game isn't perfect possible and blaming old gen although the game wasn't made while thinking old gen at all.

This seems to be the fate of cross gen Frostbite 3 games. Even back in BF4, when they introduced the riot shield and planned for players to use it in conjunction with a pistol. Couldn't be done on old consoles, so it's just a shield now. No pistol. People generally don't use it.

That said, DA:I's handling of old consoles looks pretty darn disastrous. I still occasionally feel like crap for posting XBox One / XBox 360 comparison videos of BF4 back before launch, thinking the difference in quality would be similar.
