maybe one day
the problem is I just play whats fun not for prestige points, and I find mages a blast. so I've stuck with them mostly.
I can guarantee you that a typical perilous PUG is in no way a mindless steamroll.
most of the time it is, from my experience anyway. could factor in my strength but idk, I've definitely noticed the quality of players has improved.
Crucible you're part of the problem then. Every time I play a game with you, you're speed running through so I have to keep up if I want some action. When I first met you, you were speeding through as an AW and didnt even pick up teamates. It wasnt until much later on you started reviving teamates at least. I was shocked.
If you want a challenge, lets play as archers on perilous. No stealth, no fade cloak no frost step.
sorry if I did that, I know how it feels to be dead and have someone just run passed you when they could easily get you up. I can say however that I don't usually blatantly do that.
play archers all the time, lets take it a step further and play alchemists or kataris lol
Oh I wouldn't dismiss the perilous population that quickly. It's still full of idiots.
Problem is though, I've noticed that it's getting increasingly more difficult to fill lobbies. I normally just play on threatening, because I can't even connect to a perilous match with more than a low-level archer or two. And I'm good, but I'm not good enough to solo the whole level with my Ele. I can't find a good group, and when I do I end up having a CTD.
So to me, perilous is rarely even worth the hassle. Which is sad, it's my favorite mode.
I've also noticed this, try playing in the morning on a weekday and its near impossible to find teammates.
you have too much willpower.
maybe, but a lot of those high damage numbers you saw was attributed to the legionnaire giving us boosts due to his passives.
Yeah because this is not an E-peen post at all - you promote a ridiculous amount and then complain that the game is too easy *sigh* how about you use weapons and accessories that aren't all top tier? I'm all for adding extra DLC but this is clearly a masked attempt from someone who plays/promotes too much to show off. You said your on xbone? create a fresh new account, take your character to a Perilous pug game and tell me if you can still 'steamroll'
a wise man once said its better to show then tell.
if you're try to make a point its good to use examples, that's what the gameplay is for.
There's nothing wrong with perilous bro, it's really you. If you want to comment on the state of how watered down the highest difficulty has become its because you refuse to challenge yourself and rather ****** out 'certain' characters, than it absolutely positively a dreary grind. People have commented on your thread about your playstyle, and I myself, have played with you in a random pug lobby and I can confirm you are indeed nothing but a mindless speedrunner. In fact you play the necromancer just like your arcane warrior, and that is not the games fault but you.
Challenge yourself and stop making these hypocritical posts pointing fingers at the community dumbing down difficulty levels, bring your constitution up with legitimate, katari and reaver, stop playing mages like they are cillian lovechilds for goodness sake and learn to enjoy the process of leveling up different characters with obvious weaknesses so you can be a better all around player to the community.
Stand up for this small, trollish community and set an example by actually playing with others, not with yourself. Yes there are three maps, and only three bosses, but I'm sure there are ways we can all 'play' them differently without it turning into a race to see who is at top of the scoreboard. This isn't just addressed to op, but to everyone that thinks this game is mundane. Put your e peen aside, cuz nobody wants to see it, and mix up your classes and playstyles for once. Open doors, do some reviving if it's needed, but for maker sake, get out of your comfort zones for once. You may not extract every time, or carry, but the important thing is the process of doing something new and different, with 11 constitution and bazillion willpower, I would be pretty bored of this game too.
disagree about the Perilous part still, I've seen the shift from struggling a couple month ago to just speedrunning through. Most pugs I join now, that's all they do. Have you not seen the quality of teammates improve as the months go by?
maybe I'll start to play warriors but they just feel sooooo held back to me, they don't fit my playstyle at all. I like characters with more utility and flexibility.
I do play with others. not sure what you mean by this. meaning play as a team? because most of the pugs I join now just want to run through.
About me trying different things, kind of agree, learning the necromancer brought renewed interest to this game for me, so maybe I need to spice things up and try to master another character now,
but I think you're still underplaying how underwhelming playing the same three maps over and over again does to your interest, this is not a small thing you can just alleviate by playing different ways, in the end you're still doing the same thing and its a very big problem for the game right now.
also, necro is op stahp using her.
ey, shes good but she has her weaknesses, if you watched the gameplay it may look like I'm just running around throwing out spells randomly but its actually not that easy in practice, being able to play aggressive and not die takes more skill then you would think and you need really good "game sense"
if that even makes any sense lol.
Archer is one of the few classes that can get away with doing perilous at a low level. Getting an upgraded longshot requires level 4. Obviously they aren't going to carry you, but they're not dead weight like many other players. I usually do threatening until level 9, then move on to perilous. If I'm playing with friends, I'll just stay and save some time since it takes 1 perilous game to get to level 9.
Considering perilous is like double the exp, I'd recommend it over threatening any day. Provided you can hold your own weight and are geared enough with the class you choose to play of course.
even level 4 or 5 is acceptable with the archer
a level 4 archer against demons on perilous will definitely pull his own weight.
