Ditto for biotic classes. I hope they will start making class-appropriate cutscenes at some point.

Yeah it would be cool, but I doubt it's gonna happen. Details like this are simply not worth the effort from an economic standpoint most of the time.

Well, I do remember at a few points in dragon-age slightly modified cut-scenes depending on class. (Awakening, DA2)

It wasn't very impressive, but it was a step in the right direction, and it helps very much with immersion.

I find it difficult to believe that it's prohibitively expensive for a company owned by EA to do two or three variations for a few cut-scenes.

But yeah, there are other things that are probably going to tickle their pickle more than adding immersion (how very old fashioned...),

things connected to the new agenda of political correctness, and future plans for representation to every obscure sub-type of racial sexual and gender identities under the sun.

Which is really annoying.

I don't want to see an abused trans-gender woman talking about their life's story. I have nothing against people like that, but I really find that creature comprised of our collective fears, or that sentient race of inscetioid aliens to be more interesting than something I can get just by turning on the news, or talking to a person on the street.

If those two or three variations mean that your gonna miss that lucrative late november launch window, than EA is going to be the first one to push that thing out unfinished. It's not like like that never happend before...

You mean that not so subtle political messaging in the form of diverstety for the sake of diversity? I hate that too. I have no problems with a diverse cast if it makes sense in the universe. The alliance consists of earths largest nations, so it makes sense that an alliance crew would consist of many different nationalities and ethnic backgrounds. However,  about 97% of the population is heterosexual, which means that on a ship the size of the normandy, finding any more than one gay or bisexual person would be highly unlikey. Finding a transgender person should be close to impossible. But I'll stop with my politicly incorrect, racist, homophobic, sexist and bigoted statistics now, because diversity is always good, saying otherwise is heretical racist.

Yeah, mostly agree. I don't know if the 97% stat is accurate (do you have a source?) and I don't really care either way.

Things should make sense and flow as part of the plot, obvious insertions and political statements should remain outside.

I don't buy Bioware games to be educated on the current "correct" political opinions.

(No. I'm not a racist homophobe. I like equality. My motto is live and let live. It's just that I detect a strong smell of sanctimonious preechiness and holier than thou attitude coming from the new agenda, and don't want to see the kind of people who made the [stupid] claim that fun is just a trick of the brain having any more influence over video games.)

Edit: Didn't mean to go off-topic. Still, ME:4 devs would do well to give more thought for ways to increase immersion, especially in cutscenes.

Technology is advanced enough to make cut-scenes appear more convincing and exciting.

(Source)

Poll says that 3.4% of americans identify as LGBT and 4.4% refused to answer.

You gonna have slight variations on the international level of course, both lower and higher, but I would say that 94-97% is a good estimate.

100% agree.

Not sure if this makes sense or not

Since Javik talks about the current species in his time, wouldn't any of the species of known about the reapers?

I believe it's ok.

50K years is a damn long time to pass down information

-especially if the races in question did not even have some kind of script (if that is the right word).

Considering Javik mentions that even the Asari were not able to write, it makes sense. (Of course, he also could have been joking)

German Wikipedia states that the oldest known traces of writings are from the 5th millennium BCE, while marks for counting are used since for ~12000 years.

Even if there were stories about the Reapers during the stone age, these would turn into Gods or ghosts -stories pretty quickly.

To keep that information, you'd likely need a prothean VI on a planet to.... nevermind. <_<

Edit: Grammar

And the reapers mysteriously vanish, wiping the galaxy clean of any and all evidence of their existence....

.... except for the GoPro cameras they leave around from their rave parties after they finish each reaping called "Reaper Artifacts"

The default ME3 survivors don't make much sense.

Miranda

Mordin

Jacob

Garrus

Tali

No upgrades, so Thane and Jack die. No loyalty quests, Grunt/Legion/Samara/Zaeed/Kasumi never recruited.

Tali apparently doesn't die from no shield upgrade (she would come next in line, I think.. without Legion and Kasumi). And the team somehow makes it through unscathed without a Biotic specialist.

Even if your Shepard is bald in ME1, in ME2 Prologue before Shepard putting his helmet on, you can still see hair.

Worse, still; Even if your Shepard has red or blonde hair it still shows up as brown.

Tali is exiled, thus loyal. Legion is not activated. Mordin's loyalty mission is not done, IIRC. No idea about Garrus, Jacob and Miranda. If we assume they are loyal, it is possible

Garrus, Jacob and Miranda are unloyal.

If Miranda was loyal, she would not die on an ME3 default playthrough

Why are you showing Zaeed and Samara at the final boss in that chart? Default Shep recruits neither.

And Miranda as Biotic specialist will get someone killed. Yet no one gets killed.

Doesn't matter if Tali is loyal that way... she'd still get killed if the shields aren't upgraded.

Whoever made the default survivor list doesn't play their own damn game.

Having Jack survive, like I suspect they intended at first, would've changed some things.

edit: Wait, you have Grunt dying from the biotic part... but he isn't activated in the default scheme.

How do you know Garrus and Jacob are not loyal?

I can see why Miranda would not be.

@StreetMagic, I took Tali to Oculus fight. That's why she avoids dying.

I guess Shepard does not recruit Kasumi either? Who is on the name wall in the beginning?

I don't know about the name wall.

Interesting workaround about the Oculus. So I guess no one dies in that explosion..interesting.

Yeah, Kasumi not recruited.

The list doesn't make sense, like I said. :P

ME3 canon makes no sense, ME2 "canon" survivor list makes no sense.

What else is new?

Why should they? Tali is loyal, she is exiled. You mentioned a reason for Miranda not to be loyal, I accepted it. Garrus and Jacob loyalties are not connected to Miranda's and Tali's. Nothing is mentioned about their loyalty missions. Might as well see them as loyal.

I'm trying to get all the variables to try to reproduce the state.

I guess you could see if Jacob mentions his father or if Shep recognizes Miranda's sister. That would say they did the loyalty missions.

I wouldn't bother though... that's pretty far in the game.

Still doesn't explain why the biotic bubble worked.

In that list, Kasumi dies.
