But machine guns like the Revenant being inaccurate at range. In the real world machine guns have much greater effective ranges than assault rifles.

Why should they? Tali is loyal, she is exiled.

Can you prove to me that an exiled Tali is loyal? I've never had Tali loyal when she was exiled
 

Garrus and Jacob loyalties are not connected to Miranda's and Tali's.

Never said they were. I was pointing out, if those 2 are not loyal that I would believe the others wouldn't be as well. So assumption on my part.
 

Nothing is mentioned about their loyalty missions. Might as well see them as loyal.

With these options we have... only 7 squadmates left. Not enough to start the Suicide Mission

Well, MG's are more known for rate of fire or heavy caliber than accuracy. Even in the real world.

 

But if we go into it, shotguns should have a much better range instead of the point blank BS that's usually going there.

I can attest to that. It's just the non-persuade Paragon choice (not turning in proof of her dad's involvement)

As mentioned above there is no way for those characters to be in the suicide mission since 8 are needed. Jack and Thane are on the wall. Miranda, Jacob, Garrus, Tali and Mordin in ME3 giving a total of only 7.

 

I will stick with them not being loyal.

Just discovered that there is also the possibility of having Zaeed recruited and dead, his name does not appear on the wall due to a bug. Link 

 

But anyway, there is no way both Tali and Garrus can survive with those being the 8 squadmates. Tali dies because of no shield upgrades. Garrus dies because of no cannon upgrades. You can't save both

Hmmm... how do you actually manage to get her exiled and non-loyal? I didn't think it was possible to not find Rael'Zorah's recording. When you get to the trial Tali asks you not to use that evidence. If you use it Tali's exonerated but non-loyal. If you don't use it Tali's loyal,but may be exiled if Shepard can't pass the dialogue checks or use the "rally the crowd" option. How did it play out in your game?

If he did help, I would be surprised since he's a dlc character and the other's are not and their names are not on the wall

Why wouldn't those two not survive?

 

Tali has the upgrade for the shields and Garrus has the upgrade for the thannix.

In default state there are no upgrades. I was talking about that. Take only Garrus to Oculus - Tali dies. Take only Tali (or take her alongside Garrus) - someone else dies due to the lack of shield upgrade and Garrus is next in the line for cannon upgrade death (I think that's how it works).

 

Example: take Tali and Garrus to fight the Oculus. Thane dies from not having the shield upgrade, Garrus dies from not having the cannon upgrade.

Maybe Bioware forgot to add those. Or what it looks like, is they didn't take into consideration the suicide mission and just picked whoever
