I've got a question for you ZeroMystic!
Which game DO you think has good instructions? That teaches you to click on every single thing you need to click on? I'm honestly curious how many games have that detailed instructions. ![]()

So wanting instructions for something I paid for, that has not been explained, is foolish and unrealistic? You serious!
It is.
I am.
It invited you to interact with it by its mere presence.
The rest of your reply is obsolete because you're using opinion to justify lazy developement.
Nope.
You're using your opinion to justify pedantic whining on several threads.
People outright lying about something being explained and having instructions when it doesn't, have no business complaining aboiut how they're being spoken to and saying the person's topic they decided to go into to pull that crap, was rude to them.

There is a difference between some instructions and none at all.I've got a question for you ZeroMystic!
Which game DO you think has good instructions? That teaches you to click on every single thing you need to click on? I'm honestly curious how many games have that detailed instructions.
The war table doesn't have one single shred of anything instructions wise.
Here is what should have been said:
Missions and operations on the war table are represented by various icons. To start a mission or operation, click an icon and the instructions for that operation or mission, will be given
Visit the war table often, to see what new missions or operations are available.
Click the pyramid icon to start the scout the Hinterlands operation now.
How frigging hard is that to say? Covers everything you need to know about how to use the war table in one simple tooltip. But Bioware loves to turn games into complex school work, instead of making it easy as possible for people to play. If I can write a simple one no nonsense tooltip, Bioware sure as hell can.
Perhaps I should be writing instructions for thier games. This isn't about who can guess at things, this is about making the game playable and easy for EVERYONE to enjoy.
You think I like having to complain for days about lack of instructions? This mess has prevented me from playing a game I paid for.

That wasn't my question... Could you name some games that meet your expectations for instructions? I'm just curious for some examples of what has worked for you. ![]()

It's just as well that the 'Like this' button had the tooltip 'Like this item' otherwise I would not have known that 'Like this' referred to an item instead of the hand or the thumb.

(That is of course an ironic comment meant to highlight when additional instructions are not actually required, just to be clear

That's totally irrelevant. Product maker is responsible for explaining how to use the contents of thier product. Also, how are we supposed to know how to actually start the game!?! There are absolutely no instructions on what to do once you've installed the game. Nothing!
But since you brought it up.
There are instructions for that in the manual. Which is not the same as what I'm talking about.

I won't give you any specifics because you seem to be missing the whole point to what I'm talking about. I will say what works. I really don't get why people cannot grasp a simple concept of give an on screen detailed instruction about hoe to use a games basic functions. So no, you don't have any examples...
Like the explaination I gave above on the use of the war table, the key factor when it comes to this, is explain the basics, then use that as the learning curve. If a player forgets, then that's on them. But when nothing has been explained at all, not even so much as a tooltip, is where the problem lies.
You see this is not hand holding and yet gamers say it is, and never separate in game puzzles from the instructions on how to play.

I'm still so very curious: how do you manage everyday life? How frustrated are people around you daily basis? How many times, daily basis, you hear you should move out from you head?

I'm just asking for an example of what works, to make things clearer! I don't think many people will be on your side if you won't help them understand, and I fail to see why you wouldn't want to show people what you mean, if you really believe this!
Also, why do you think you are the only person complaining about this? People aren't shy when pointing out faults about the game. If everyone is getting stuck in the first 2 hours of the game, I don't think it would be selling as well as it is. Why do you think this is?

First and foremost there are so many things wrong with this game, it's pathetic. But that doesn't give anyone on this forum to say someone is trolling.
If you don't have problems, good for you. Others do, if I have a problem, I will post it. If people think it's trolling, then screw them. I don't give a damn how dumb someone thinks what I post is, no one is going to decide for me what I'm having trouble with so keep your damn comments about my topics/replies to yourself.
Now as what needs to be fixed:
1. Using a controller shows options that are not there when using a KB&M
2. The War table needs a full set of instructions. It's way too complex to figure out how to trigger and start missions the first time you get to it.
3. Enemies do not drop loot where they die.
4. No NPC in the game actually makes anything for you even though they say they do.
5. The Prima bonus Longma Mount is not where your told it is. I was told it was at the crossroads located in the Hinterlands.
6. Enemies do nothing when attacked at a certain distance. I killed the high dragon in the Hinterlands with a level 8 on nightmare without any other party members.
7. Items that do not have a discription/hint to thier use, do not belong in the game.
8. You shouldn't be able to mount a horse at all until you complete Horses For The Inquisition. Mounting a horse says press = or the horse icon on your hotbar to call YOUR horse. If the Inquisition doesnt have horses, then it's not YOUR horse, so how can you call it?
9. You can push a party member through the blocked entrance in Valammar, by standing in the entance facing it, and then using a second party member to stand in back forcing the one facing the entrance to move forward and by taking control of the first party member the rest of the party automatically goes through. You get out the same way.
10. You can exploit loot by saving the game before you loot anything, then reloading the game producing different loot. This exploit doesn't work on some loot.
11. Crafting material and items should only be accessible when you can craft it and not showing up when you can't even do anything until later.
I'd also like to elaborate on this list.
12. I haven't been able to play this game yet, because darned Sony didn't provide me with acceptable instructiins on how to turn the console on. I've read the manual countless times, but I just don't know which button to press, or where to put my finger.
Sony and BioWare are both at fault here.. how am I supposed to enjoy this game if I can't even get my console to work?

But if they explained everything, what would people have to cry about? Bioware lives off the tears of their consumers.
They could whine about too much information. Or that you cannot deactivate the tutorial.
Just helping here ![]()

And you've got your solution.
We don't care about correct in-game instructions because we wouldn't be able to read them correctly anyway.
