The sketch Of Calenhad's Foothold shows there to be a wall in an area of the map that does not have a wall.
The Foothold is supposed to be north of the mercenary fortress. But that's incorrect. The only place that has a stone wall in that section of the Hinterlands, is the mercenary fort itself bout there is no broken stone wall in which to climb up.

How did you get the location of the foothold from that sketch? It gives no indication of where Calenhad's Foothold is located, only where the treasure in the foothold is located and, it is correct.

I never said anything about the sketch of the foothold itself. I very specifically said the name of the quest not the actual picture.
The both of you should learn to read what someone posts and use common sense.
You know for 2 people that get all over people for not grasping the concepts in the game that are not even explained, you sure do a lot of of that with people's topics/replies on the forum.

The sketch does not show any area and, it is a map of Calenhad's Foothold, as the quest calls it. Where does it say that is north of the Grand Forest Villa a.k.a. the Mercenary Fortress?
Where you obtain a quest does not indicate the area the quest is located in. They could give us a quest in one zone that was to be completed in another. In fact they did give a few like that.
"Sketch of Calenhad's Foothold) does not say "North of the Mercenary Fortress at all." and yes there is a wall at the foothold too. Note the long stone wall stretching across the left side of the image.

Ah, but we did. There is no indication in the sketch (or anywhere else in the game for that matter) that:
The Foothold is supposed to be north of the mercenary fortress.
You sure go a long way in your threads trying to alienate people here at BSN.

Well regardless the first sketch in that one fort with the garbage ton of elfroot has one of the sketch treasures while there's this waterfall route having the second.
The fort one is easy. There should be a box with scrolls (A blackwall mission) and the arrow should point through the other side. You kind of need to turn left and follow a wall and climb the destroyed wall until you reach a ladder. Climb down the ladder and hit the search button around a oval/diamond shaped pile of rocks. Hit the search button and it will reveal the treasure.
The second is like a bit past "TEMPLAR ENCAMPMENT". At a treasure chest just go forward around it and follow the path until your underneath the waterfall. Hit the search button until like above you see a oval/diamond shaped pile of rocks. Hit the search button to reveal this sketch treasure.

I guess the OP is reading a guide that says Calenhad's is north of the Fortress and, taking it to mean due north. *shrug* nobody ever said the guides were 100% correct.

I married a truck driver and, I worked for years as a a tech support rep nights. Now I'm a part time dispatcher for semi trucks. Kind of explains that - all of it requires patience and PR skills that take years to learn. Josephine aint got notin' on me. LOL.
